The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

I don't scare easily, but I startle easily .

Funny how I can do something like travel overseas alone, skydive, and even sleep under the stars in the wildnerness without fear, yet I jump if I'm sitting at my desk using my laptop in my house and I hear a creaking noise :crazy.

I don't like parties. I've never liked parties. It's just a waste of time.

Another fact:
I was born 6 weeks too early.

I don't drink coffee, and have pretty low caffeine tolerance, so on the rare occasions when I drink a heavily caffeinated beverage, my hands tend to be even shakier than usual for several hours afterwards. For instance, it was probably a mistake for me to drink a cappuccino with five heaping spoonfuls of mix in it before setting type for a printing press in my Medieval & Rennaissance studies class today. :slap :rolleyes

It was real easy for me once I watched the step by step moves for like the 15th time.

I'm a bit of a pyrophobe, (Fear of fire) only when it comes to creating fires inb science experiments, though. Otherwise fire doesn't bother me.

My favorite sweeteners are palm sugar and brown cane sugar.

I am so obsessed with anime that I practically idolize characters from them, even though I know they're just fictional. Maybe a bit weird, but god I love anime! xD

I am just the opposite. Unless it is being made fun of, I hate anime! I used to like it, until I realized that most anime shows have little in the way of a good plot, that the art style, while often impressive, was more often repetitive and simplistic, and that it was, if possible, even more heavily commercialized than Western animation, to the point where many anime series are little more than glorified toy commercials.

I'm starting to rotate the character in my sig, and will try to have a new one each month or so.

I have a terrible fear of heights.  Even standing on a chair can freak me out a bit.....so do not ask me to repair your roof, I will refuse.....that is too high for me.....

I was stuck in an elevator once. I was also stuck in a bathroom when the doorknob fell off.

Me too. Subsequently, there are very few thrill rides I'm willing to go on.

Odd thing is, I've been on a giant drop before, and did enjoy it, granted, it's not as long as the one in Australia's Gold Coast, I think it's Dreamworld that it's in....that looks far too high for me.

Not to mention, I do like rollercoasters....although after Final Destination 3 as well as a CSI episode as well (can't recall it too much, but a rollercoaster derailment was part of it), um yeah....trust in them has gone down a little bit as well....

I like rollercoasters, but not the once which go upside-down.

P.S. Do you like this new sig picture?

^ I think it looks better than the vertically-compressed screenshot of Mo with the (de)motivational poster frame around it.

I'm not so much afraid of heights as I'm afraid of falling from them. :p I'm very unsteady on my feet (so much so that I tend to rock slightly even when I'm just standing, and can even lose my balance), so it's very unnerving for me to stand at the edge of a cliff, a bridge, or the top of a stairway with little between me and a long, injurious or fatal fall. If I'm looking out the window of an airplane, on the other hand, I have little fear of the vast distance between me and the ground.

(Cool. I think my piece is an upgrade from the last one.)

I am going to New York Law school starting in late August.

^ As for roller coasters and me I think Gustav, Jason, and Patrick could tell a story from last years trip where among other we visited Lisbergs Park in Gotenburg where I joined them on a roller coaster ride (after my knees had already been softened up quite a bit by a giant swing). Gustav took a picture of me while the train was going up to the highest point of that roller coaster and quite frankly on that picture I look like I was shell-shocked or something. For three days after that my voice sounded like I had sort of lost it on that said roller coaster :oops
