The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Trod sighed at the questions and took a second before replying - "I would want my entire herd to get eaten... or at least, my herd's leader." - after that, he lowered his head and he just began caressing his injured partner again.

Cyrix was a bit worried about Trod's comments to his own herd and patted the young flyer on the head.
"May I ask why you would want that to happen? Did they do something bad?"

Terri however gave a small smile as she whispered to Chomper, "your new flyer friend seems to have a lot of hate for his herd...although the promise of food is a pretty good trade."

"<And here I was thinking that all flatteeth loves each other>" Dein said with sarcasm, when Chomper translated Trod's words"<It looks like they have much more common with us than I thought>"

Hearing the comment Ducky got scared and ran off towards the cave she had been sleeping in thinking someone like that was evil and may want to eat someone small like her or worst.

Chomper was surprised about Trod's words. But in his mind, he thought.

"Ha, leafeaters aren't as nice as they say they are."

At what Chomper's dad said, Twiz looked angry himself now. "Well it was my mom's sharptoothed herd that kicked out my flattoothed father!" he suddenly exclaimed, "so I'd watch the saying yall are perfect or anything if I were you" he crossed his wings.

<"As annoyed as I am by that statement too..."> Cory said, <"I also know I don't think he meant it that way"> he told Twiz. The little flyer sighed, <"Yeah, sorry"> he told Dein, <"It's just...oh nevermind, I feel like no matter who I'm talkin' too I've been defending either my mom's herd or my dad my whole life...I still don't know where my dad is...since my mom's herd didn't want a flattooth even half leading them"> he glanced down.

OOC: This will be a long post, but I think it is time to tell Trod's background info. I hope it is ok, because this is what I could come up with in such short notice.

IC:
"<We may have more in common that any of us will ever want to recognize or believe.>" - Surprisingly Trod said those words to Dein in the Sharptooth language!. - "I don't speak very much that language, is kinda complicated for me." - The kid remained silent for a moment. - "I hate my herd because they are evil. They left behind the ways of peaceful survival to engage in a more hostile way of survival. All of this happened many cold times ago, my herd was originally a peaceful herd of Runners, until the lands changed, food became scarce... we Runners can eat a variety of food, but we are not hunters... at least not until a new leader came, making the herd to use everything that is needed to survive, turning everybody into... monsters. Almost half the Herd decided to abandon the new leader and look for another place to live, in the ways of peaceful survival. There were two lovers, a couple that manage to find happiness in those times, and they had two eggs. When the eggs hatched was when the exodus of half the herd happened, they had to leave by force because the leader wouldn't allow that. The female could escape with one of the hatchlings, but the male was forced to stay behind, with the other hatchling. A promise of a re-encounter was made. Cold ages after the exodus, I was told the truth of what happened... but the leader figured out too, blamming my father for what happened and accusing him of treason and accusing me of been a living representation of what he and his herd hates. He... he killed my father and he left me behind, tied up into a dead tree, easy prey for Sharpteeth or to have a slow death from starvation." - At this point, the kid couldn't hold his tears anymore, but he did an effort to finish what he has to say. - "I don't know how many bright circles passed before Rhamphy found me, he freed me and helped me to see I still have someone that may be waiting for me... all I want is to live in peace, leaving behind the anger I still have... a chance for me to be happy with my sister and my mother, who are still out there, as farwalkers."

"<They left one of their own for certain death?>" Dein asked trying to contain his disgust and anger "<If I ever meet them...>" he didnt finish his sentence.

'I'd best go and see how Ducky is doing." Littlefoot said then went off in the direction Ducky had run off in fear.

Trod saw Littlefoot departing - "I hope she'll be ok.... I never wanted to make her feel that way." - the kid still has many tears coming out of his eyes, his memories invading his mind.

Trod tried to dry some of his tears before replying - "No... you are all already doing too much for me, by saving Rhamphy. Thanks." - the kid managed to smile at the Sharptooth.

Littlefoot caught up with Ducky who was in the cave they had been sleeping in.

"He seems bad, wanting his whole herd eateded he does he does." Ducky said.

"Maybe he feels that way, but maybe it the choice came down to it he may not really want it.  But he told us a story of some of his past.  Do you want to hear it?" Littlefoot asked.

"I do, if you want to tell it." Ducky said.

"Ok..." Littlefoot said then started to tell Ducky the story he had heard Trod say.

"Yes" Kit and Cory nodded, not even able to imagine such a thing as what Trod explained had happened. Twiz almost felt guilty for his own whining, at least he hadn't been kicked out as well as his father.

"Y-yeah Trod, we're here for you...and if I ever hear anything about your mom or sister, I'll be sure to tell ya" the flyer promised, knowing what it was to wish for a family member to come back or to be reunited with them.

Petrie followed along with Littlefoot to check and make sure Ducky was ok. "D-ducky, you ok?" he asked, reaching where she was and slowly walking up, incase she needed space or anything.
