"Good point." Alfred replied. At this point they were out on the highway and several cars were present but they quickly yielded to the large IFV and convoy of Humvees.

He then briefly turned around and noticed that his shotgun was still in place.

He then turned on the public address system and to his surprise Sabaton's Primo Victoria began blasting from the speaker system.

Alfred quickly turned off the radio. "Erm guys, should we put this track back on or no?

Alfred shrugged and turned the radio off. "That's what was in the CD player. It seems appropriate though."

Several hours had passed and it was nearing dusk. The convoy was almost at Pelvanida's gates.

Cobalt Leader noticed that several tanks and armored personnel carriers were leaving Pelvanida but quite a few tanks were still present. He then radioed everyone.

The radio in Alfred's Humvee crackled.

"This is Cobalt Leader, the forces are leaving Pelvanida but we've still got a few hostiles present. Cobalt Leader out."

"Well, I guess our task just got easier."

A loud explosion thundered outside Alfred's Humvee as an explosive shell narrowly missed him. They were now inside Pelvanida and the few tanks that were remaining were attacking them.

"They're firing!" Nixon's voice shouted through the radio.

The tank that had fired at him was struck by the railgun projectile of Nixon's Humvee. The projectile had actually wedged itself in the turret rendering it useless.

However, the coaxial machine guns were still active and they proceeded to riddle Zachary's Humvee with bullets.

"Do something!" Dr. Bailey shouted as bullets pinged off the Humvee.

PFC Reynolds aimed at the offending tank and fired his laser cannon.

The invisible beam burned through the tank's armor, igniting the ammunition.

Zachary then sped up and drove past the burning tank. His Humvee ran out of fuel and he - carrying Dr. Bailey - and PFC Reynolds ditched and ran into the base via an opening that had been blasted into the wall by a stray tank round.

"There's another one!" Nixon shouted, pointing to another tank that was trying to hit Zachary's Humvee.

"Damn it! I can't fire that fast! The railgun needs to build up power!" Dr. Greene shouted.

Another tank burst into flame as Hans fired his laser cannon.

Dr. Zanasiu's Corvette finally died after being riddled with machine gun fire. He grabbed his shotgun and bolted for the entrance of the complex. He had several bleeding cuts on his face but he was otherwise unhurt.

The Cobalt Squad's Stryker was hit by an armor piercing HEAT shell. Cobalt Squad bailed just as the Stryker's fuel went up in flames.

They took cover behind some rocks and waited for a chance to get into the complex.

"[censored]!" Nixon shouted as a tank shot out the tires with its coaxial machine guns.

Unfortunately for Nixon, the crippled Humvee provided a perfect target for one of the tanks, which nailed the Humvee with a direct hit from an explosive shell. The Humvee burst into flame as the fuel ignited.

Alfred's Humvee blew a tire as it was struck with shrapnel from a near miss. The Humvee skidded into a guard post near the main entrance. Nearby was Dr. Zanasiu's wrecked Corvette.

"Aisha! We've got to get moving!" Alfred shouted, grabbing his shotgun, leaping out of the Humvee and bolting into the building.

Outside, some more tanks began to converge on the scene.

(OOC - Assume Dr. Bailey's in Zachary's Humvee.)

Aisha swore as she and Dr Landon dashed from the wrecked Humvee. " So whats the plan? She yelled as she ran after Alfred and into the building, which shook from the reverbations of the battle outside. Dr landon follwed cklose behind, he had been nicked by a stray bullet but he was ignoring the pain for now.."

Dr. Zanasiu had met up with Zachary and PFC Reynolds in the wrecked lab.

"Man, I wish the tank drivers had left too." Zachary said, wiping sweat from his brow.

"Hey can get a weapon or no? Because I think these guys now want to kill me."

"Still don't trust you." Dr. Zanasiu said.

PFC Reynolds sighed. He then move his hand and felt a pistol under a desk. He carefully slid the pistol out and tucked into his sleeve.

Cobalt Squad found their chance to bolt into the building as Hans and Werner destroyed one of the tanks then ditched the Humvee and ran into the building.

Cobalt Squad soon met up with Aisha, Dr. Landon and Alfred.

"Well, we can only move in." Alfred said, readying his shotgun.

A sound from a nearby lab caught a Cobalt trooper's attention.

"Cover me." he said, readying his shotgun.

Alfred nodded and followed the trooper.

Aisha held her gun at the ready as she folloed closely behing Alfred and the Cobalt trooper. " jUst be on your guard.. We don't know how many are still lurking around here.." She whispered.

Dr. Zanasiu heard footsteps coming into the room and he readied his shotgun. As soon as he saw the figure, he shot at it but missed.

"Doc! What the hell do you think you are doing!?" the figure shouted.

"Cobalt Leader?" Dr. Zanasiu asked.

"Yes and you almost took my head off!" Cobalt Leader shouted.

"Well, I can't see too well when the lights are mostly shot out and when there's dust everywhere!"

Alfred and the rest of the Cobalt Squad filed in with their weapons drawn.

"Dr. Zanasiu, Zachary, Reynolds, that you?" Alfred asked, keeping his shotgun ready.

"Yep. We're all here. Can't find Hans and Werner though." Zachary replied.

"Best we move deeper. No one's here." Dr. Zanasiu said, heading out the door with Zachary and PFC Reynolds following.

The Chameleon sniper shot some more of the rogue special forces troopers as they entered the AWTR. Unfortunately, by this time some of them began to figure out where he was, even though he moved around the catwalks constantly, and started firing at where they thought he was. A lucky shot destroyed his active camo system but he was protected from serious injury thanks to his armor. The damage to his active camo system forced him to "decloak". He killed the last trooper, slung his rifle across his back and drew his pistol. He then got down from the catwalk and bolted into the testing range.

He noticed the smell of blood in the air and spotted some dead soldiers.

(OOC - Caustizer, now is the perfect time for Sgt. Clyco and the Chameleon sniper to meet each other.)

(OOC: The door to the testing range was locked and required keycard access to get in, but luckily the door opens just as he approaches it)

Srgt. Clyco heard the shooting outside, so he knew he had an ally somewhere in this mess. As a trained soldier, he wasn't about to take any chances though. Clicking open the gun cabnets he pulled out two MP5's, his favourite medium range sub-machinegun. With quarters as close as they were, the rapid fire would be most useful.

Loading and priming both magazines, and grabbing as much spare ammo as he could, Clyco carefully creaked open the door. Someone was there alright, and they were running quite quickly towards the now open door.

At that moment the Srgt. kicked open the door, and raised both his weapons up to chest level.

"I wouldn't take another step if I were you... unless you were planning on giving me your ass."

It was a Duke Nukem quote - Clyco loved Duke Nukem.

The Chameleon sniper immediately froze in his tracks and he lowered his pistol.

"I am Specialist Leon Jackson from Carson City Camp. Are you Sgt. Fredrick Clyco?" he asked.

"Depends if your here to take me home or not," Clyco answered as he lowered his firearms. He wasn't sure about this guy, but the clear amount of bodies on the floor attested to his allegience.

"I assume you are Sgt. Clyco. In any case, I am here to take you back to Carson City Camp. General Moby has some questions to ask of you regarding a Canadian tank platoon that is at Carson City for repairs. We will make arrangements for you to return home." Spc. Jackson said.

"Your general can ask me what he wants, but I can't guarentee I know the answer. I'm just an upper class foot soldier on escort duty, I wasn't aware that the Canadian Government had any tanks here," responded Clyco.

Srgt. Clyco was getting suspicious of this mysterious helper... could it be that he was with Dragonstorm too and that they were trying to get some answers out of him?

Dr. Bailey had found a piece of scrap metal to use as a crutch.

"Aisha, you, Dr. Landon, Werner and PFC Reynolds check the labs. Dr. Zanasiu, myself and Cobalt Squad will look for Werner and Hans." Zachary said.

"And what about me?" Dr. Bailey asked.

"You'll have to help Aisha's group."

"As do I." Dr. Bailey said.

"If anyone's missing a radio, swipe one from either a lab or a dead soldier." Dr. Zanasiu said.

"Okay, James and I are heading out." Zachary said.

He and James then exited the lab.
