Alfred shrugged and fell back asleep.

Inside Pelvanida, the guards had just finished demolishing the radio tower.

Dr. Branston looked through the monitors and grinned. "Good."

"Let me out of here!" Dr. Bailey shouted.

"Hmm. How about no." Dr. Branston replied.

Just then a Pelvanida guard, an anthro Cape Buffalo, entered the control room. "Dr. Branston! I have found terrible news: Alfred Byford, Dr. Landon, Hans Donitz and Dr. Tennes have been gone for several hours. Mr. Byford's pickup truck is still outside the base with its tools."

"I know." Dr. Branston replied. "The security cams showed Dr. Tennes grabbing Mr. Byford and Dr. Landon and forcibly taking them from the installation. Sadly, a computer error rendered me unable to pinpoint the location and send a team to respond. As for Donitz, it is possible that Dr. Tennes kidnapped or even killed him as well."

"Wait, are you seriously thinking that Dr. Tennes might have kidnapped or killed one of our highly trained security guards?" the guard asked.

Dr. Branston nodded. "Do not ever underestimate your foe. That is how Dr. James Zanasiu, Zachary Johnson, Sharon Varma, Professor Josephine Smithson and Dr. Rudyard Shelton with a handful of the surviving experiments and guards were able to stop one of the largest terrorist assaults in US history."

"Okay thanks for the history lesson, but what the hell do I do if I see them?" the guard replied. He had his arms crossed and he was frowning slightly.

"Arrest or kill Dr. Tennes and rescue Dr. Landon and Mr. Byford. Dr. Landon is a vital part of our research team. Mr. Byford is needed to help clean up and repair the complex; besides, we can't let an innocent bystander suffer at the hands of their captor." Dr. Branston replied.

The guard nodded, saluted and left the control room.

A scientist walked up to Dr. Branston "sir I've been doing some research and it seem that Hans Donitz was one of the terrorists that attacked this facility and he switched sides since he was working for the German government,' the scientist said.

"What! This has to be a mistake!" Dr. Branston exclaimed. "Dontiz is one of our best guards!" He then sighed. "This could be a hell of an international incident." He then turned to the scientist. "You are not to breathe a word of this finding to anyone else. Understood?"

We have to go around, off road..' Aisha said.. "We can't let ourselves be seen.. and I don't think they're gong to greet me all that warmly. I'll be ready to open fire on anypne who tries to detain me.."

"I need to get my truck." Alfred said.

"Sure thing." Zachary replied. He stopped the SUV and Alfred got out and walked to the entrance.

"Sir. This is a US military base, you cannot proceed further." the entrance guard, a wiry Latino man stated. Two other guards appeared from the shack.

Alfred showed his contractor pass. "I am Alfred Byford. My truck is parked inside and I need to retrieve it."

"Ah, Mr. Byford. Please come with us." the Latino guard said.

Alfred looked at the guard. "Pardon?"

"Please come with us." The Latino guard was getting irritated.

"Please explain what is going on!" Alfred demanded.

"Come with us or we will forcibly take you." The Latino guard pulled out a pair of disposable plastic handcuffs.

"I will come once you explain. I am here to retrieve my truck."

One of the other guards, an anthro Timber Wolf looked at the SUV that Alfred came out of with a pair of binoculars. "Hey! I see Dr. Tennes in that SUV Alfred came out of!"

The Latino guard looked at Alfred. "So you're not a kidnapping victim at all! You're part of the plot! You are under arrest!" He grabbed Alfred's left arm and tried to handcuff him.

Alfred grinned. "I was shall I say, ignorant of what was going on in Pelvanida but know that I know. Does the word 'Dragonstorm' mean anything?" He pulled his left arm free of the guard's grasp and he turned around and faced the guard.

"Dragonstorm!? You've been spying on us for Carson City Camp!? You'll pay!"
The guard flicked out his retractable baton and went after Alfred.

Alfred laughed. "Nope. I only found out after Dr. Tennes showed me."

"I knew it! You're working with Dr. Tennes!" the Latino shouted.

"I gladly am!" Alfred replied, staring down the enraged man. As the guard drew his arm back, Alfred charged in with startling speed and slammed his body, over 420 pounds of muscle, into the guard, sending him sprawling and causing him to drop the baton. Alfred picked up the baton and bent it in half.

"Now. May I get my truck?" He asked. He tossed the broken baton on the ground.

The Latino guard stood up clutching his ribs. "I'm taking you into custody: dead or alive!" the guard tried to draw his pistol but the pain of Alfred's powerful tackle slowed him down.

The guard almost had his pistol out when Alfred's massive fist crashed into the top of the guard's head in a brutal hammerfist. The impact sounded like wrecking ball battering a concrete wall.

The guard's eyes rolled back in his head and he immediately collapsed to the ground.

The other two guards rushed from the guard house with their pistols drawn.

"Get on the ground!" The Timber Wolf shouted.

Alfred obeyed.

Zachary spotted the two guards handcuffing Alfred. "Okay guys! We've got two rogue Pelvanida guards. Let's rock and roll!"

"Not so fast. Perhaps they did have a legitimate reason to take Alfred into custody. Did you see how hard he hit that guard? Can anyone say major skull fracture? I wouldn't be surprised if he's dead." Dr. Zanasiu said.

Zachary shook his head. "Alfred left the door open. My hearing is more sensitive than a Human's sense of hearing. The guard clearly mentioned Dragonstorm."

"Okay then. Let's rock and roll!" Dr. Zanasiu said, grabbing the shotgun from between the driver and passenger seats. He quickly loaded the shotgun and waited for Hans, Werner and Aisha.

Aisha whipped out her gun.and fired off a shot. It hit on of the guards cuffing Alford in the side, knocking him backwards. "Uncuff Alford, or the next bullet is going in your head! We're shutting down Dragonstorm permanently, if it requires a high body count, well, it'll be worth it.. " Aisdha said, her tracer now locked onto the other guards forehead. "Take him out" She said to the others..

Dr. Zanasiu took cover behind the open door of the SUV with his shotgun at the ready. "Let Alfred go! Dragonstorm is a abomination that must be stopped and he is helping us!"

Zachary grabbed his rifle from under the seat, he too aimed at the other guard.

Alfred got to his feet and looked at the wounded Timber Wolf guard. "Lucky they decided to nick you with their shots." He picked the guard up with one hand. "Now give me your keys and weapons or I break you." He showed the Timber Wolf the body of the Latino guard.

The Timber Wolf bit Alfred in the hand. "Gah!" Alfred threw the Wolf to the ground. The Wolf tried to draw his pistol. "Shoot him!" Alfred shouted.

Alfred walked away, looking at the bitten hand. It was bleeding but it wasn't too serious.

Dr. Zanasiu fired at the Timber Wolf guard, striking him in the chest and downing him. Another shot to the chest killed him.

The last guard was trying to radio for backup. Zachary fired a short burst at the guard's feet. "Give us the radio or die!"

The final guard drew his pistol and aimed it squarely at Dr. Zanasiu.

Aisha shot the radio out of the guard hand, it fell to the ground and shattered into pieces.. "The next shot is going in your chest" Aisha snarled moving up towards the enterance..

Dr. Branston was watching the shootout unfold on the security cameras outside the front entrance. He quickly radioed some extra squadrons.

He then radioed the front guards. "2 extra squads are coming your way."

The radio's speaker blared out Dr. Branston's message. The guard grinned. "Fine kill me. You're not getting inside. Reinforcements are coming."

Dr. Zanasiu looked at Aisha. "If reinforcements come, we cannot enter this way."

Alfred went past the barrier and headed into his truck. It was a large black 1 ton pickup truck with dual rear wheels and a heavy brush guard.

He opened the door and to his horror found a Pelvanida mechanic trying to start the truck.

"Get out of my truck!" Alfred shouted. When the mechanic ignored him, Alfred grabbed the mechanic and threw him out of the cab. He started the truck up and drove it through the gate of the entrance.

"We're getting in" Aisha replied. "Follow Alford.. and do as you please with the guard. If he surrenders.. fine.. if not.. do what you have to do" Aisha was no weakling, she was perfectly willing to use brute force to defeat her foes..

Hans grabbed a MG-34 from the back seat of his car and handed a M-4 two relvolvers and a KAR 98 to werner. "Did you want a tommy gun too,' he asked. "Yeah I'll take two of the 1928 models,' werner replied. He leaned out of the car to the others I've got more weapons in the back seat and the trunk if you want any,' hans said getting out of the car with a M-16 a AK47 a MG-34 six semi auto pistols and two revolvers on him as well as being drapped with various ammo clips for drapped in MG ammo and a box of ammo for the revolvers.

"Hans, forget about the massive armory we stashed in the trunk! We need to get to the emergency exit before the squads get here!" Zachary shouted.

A heavy mechanical whirring filled the air.

"Oh no! Guys! We need to move!" Dr. Zanasiu shouted. As he spoke, a deadly GAU-19/A, rose from what seemed to be an oil barrel. Several more were in the process of deploying.

Zachary nodded and slammed the accelerator as hard as possible. Alfred also drove off in a cloud of dust.

The gatling guns began firing at the SUV they soon lost track of it in the cloud of dust kicked up by the two fleeing vehicles.

"Enter through the emergency exit." Zachary said. He stuck his arm out the window and waved for Alfred to follow them.

"Hans, I'd give Alfred his shotgun back when we have time." Dr. Zanasiu said. "Our disguises aren't going to work any more."

Meanwhile, in an undisclosed location int Utah, a briefing is being conducted. Three of those attending are familiar. In fact, the three were survivors from the initial terrorist attack on the base: Victor "Vic" Summers, Professor Josephine "Dr Joe" Smithson, and Snow. During the battle, the trio were separated from the others when they fell upon the main force of the terrorists. With no way of regrouping with their team, they had to commondere a chopper and escape with their lives. Now they're going back...

Vic had been in hiding since they got word of some of the others surviving but permamently barred from the facility. But as he was found out by the special forces commity, he had to call Dr Joe and Snow in, for they were promised leniency for allegedly going "AWOL from a high security matter." Vic was to go, as he was trained to know the complete layout of the complex, even though there were possibilities of drastic changes in security. His personal agenda haunted him as he knew he left behind his teammates in dire trouble, and he plans not to repeat it...

Dr. Joe and Snow lived in Dr. Joe's home apartment after their escape. Dr. Joe was helping Snow live a more natural life in the outside world, and Snow was getting aquainted. As Snow now sits in the briefing room, she's not the normal person she used to be. Now sporting a custom black jacket w/ light blue flames, and a necklace of prayer beads which helps her to be more confident with her powers. Dr. Joe was next to go, as she is the only one capable of retrieving important experiment data that may have survived when most of the scientists were killed in the onslaught. Her personal thoughts reveal to her of some of the experiments that may have survived, and she'll hope to rescue them, too. Snow was promised legal citizenship if she comes to, but her mind was on the one she left behind...

Two new faces were also on this mission. Aiko, a technalogical whiz and communications expert, was needed to keep contact with the outside world and to put the odds of the facility control in their favor. And Feral Jones, team commander and seasoned veteran of many covert operation missions.

They prepare to make their plans of infiltrating the base, do their own individual part of the operation, and overall take down the Dragonstorm project. Soon, they will be moving out...
