Aiko took shrapnel deep within his right arm, and yelped as he fell back. Vic jumped from his hiding position as Feral gave him cover. The human soldier sprinted to Aiko's aid and dragged him out of harm's way. It took only a matter of moments when Vic began to fix the Akita's bleeding arm.

"How is it, Doc?" Akita smirked.

"Superficial, 'patient,'" Vic replied. "Nothing worth kissing to make the pain go away."

"Avoid throwing something that he could catch and throw right back!" Dr Joe shouted.

"My fire should be enough..." Snow started.

"No need. We got more backup now. Neku! Over here!"

Dr Landon dove for cover as sharpnel ricoheted just above his head.. "Gah! Someone needs to kill that thing1" he yelled. "Before HE kills US!"

Magneto glared at the 4 newcomers. "I'll take those." he said, gesturing to Kagetora's blades and trying to pull them from his grasp.

"We'll let our allies cover for us. Then we'll meet by one of the labs." Zachary said. He stood up from behind cover to hurl a large wooden chair at Magneto.

Dr. Zanasiu quickly darted out the backdoor. "This way and hurry!"

Alfred nodded. He threw a wood stool at Magneto and followed Dr. Zanasiu.

Zachary quickly followed him.

Kagetora grinned under his mask.
"You want them? You can...Have them!"
He said, as Neku and Cale dodged in close to Magneto, both creating a field that overcharged the magnetic pull, sending both blades hurtling into Magneto's chest...

Aisha and Dr Landon quickly followed, ducking out of the room, and headed down a small flight of stairs. " which floor are the labs on?' Aisha asked as they moved onward..

Magneto barely had time to deflect both blades. Two deep cuts were left on his chest. At the same time, the throw stool caught him in the side of the head. He staggered a bit but quickly got back onto his feet. He gestured and one of the steel tables hovered in the air. He pointed to Kagetora and sent it hurtling towards him.

"There are labs in every floor." Dr. Zanasiu said.

The stairwell was well lit.

Suddenly, Alfred turned into a Doberman scientist and knocked him over.

"Pardon me sir." Alfred said.

"No problems." the scientist replied. He got back to his feet and headed up the stairs.

As soon as the scientist's footsteps faded away, Zachary spoke. "Do you think that scientist was a possible ally or did he just not recognize us?"

Kagetora leapt off the table in midair, throwing a kick at Magneto's head as he reached for his swords. Cale quickly formed a glass knife, and taking advantage of Magneto's distracted state, stabbed int through the experiment's foot and into the floor, melding the dagger to the ground to hold Magneto...

Magneto screamed in pain and sent several powerful lightning bolts arcing around the room, aimed at all his attackers. He even energized Kagetora's swords.

"Our best bet is to go to the control room and hope that the admin there is friendly." Dr. Zanasiu said.

"If not, we'll need to fight our way into the control room." Alfred sighed. "Speaking of which, where is the armory? I lost my shotgun."

"There are guard posts scattered around the base. We can go in there to rearm and possibly plan."

Zachary opened a door. This was labeled "Floor 2"

"Well," he said, "there's a guard post up ahead and it's empty."

Vic shielded Aiko from the wild arcs of lightning, barely being hit himself as he patched his teammate up. Snow & Dr Joe hit the floor of the office as they escaped the experiment's wrath. Feral grabbed Aiko's lab & kit from the exposed table and ran back into the closet for cover.

The armory vault reopened after a while, and Ariol stepped out. He had taken out some toys to play with, but for now they remain hidden under his coat. Casually, he lights another cigarette, and begins his trek to one of the Dragonstorm experiment labs...

"We'll scope out the labs here. Hopefully, we can find some allies or destroy some dome more Dragonstorm data." Zachary said.

"The guard post?" Alfred said.

"Right."

The group then moved towards the guard post. Dr. Zanasiu quickly destroyed a camera above the post before they entered it.

Zachary tried the door. "Locked." he said.

Alfred said nothing but simply smashed the window with a nearby piece of rubble. He reached in and opened the door.

"We're in."

He grabbed a Remington 870 shotgun for himself and an M4 carbine for Zachary.

In his lab, Dr. Bailey was trying to hack into the base computers to no avail. He swore as his attempts were repeatedly blocked.

Zachary nodded and grabbed several magazines for his carbine. He nodded and opened the folder. His eyes widened as he read the name of the researcher mentioned in it, Kegan O'Neill. "What the?! I thought he was arrested!"

He dug through the papers. "That bastard! I knew those samples of cell growth accelerants were stolen!" he exclaimed.

He held up a piece of paper:

Zachary shook his head. "No, quite the opposite. I was working on a serum designed to accelerate cell growth in an effort to speed healing. Unfortunately, uncontrolled and accelerated cell growth equals cancer. For some reason, only equines, like myself and O'Neill were immune to the carcinogenic effect. I was in the process of attempting to make it compatible with all species when those samples were stolen. I made an incident report and for some reason, the entire matter was never spoken of again."

"We need to get moving." Dr. Zanasiu said. He grabbed a box of shotgun shells and divided them between Alfred and himself.

The group then filed out the guard post and passed by a completely sealed lab. The name on the door read Dr. Keith Bailey.

"So, you guys wanna enter?" Alfred asked. "We could get another ally or..."

"Get shot at." Zachary deadpanned.

Alfred frowned "Or we can 'fix' the lab."

"Well, any damage we do to Dragonstorm is good." Dr. Zanasiu said.

Cale and Neku dodged the lightning arcs, absorbing what they could, as the team moved again. Kagetora lunged, slashing at Magneto with the now-glowing swords as Neku slashed low with his beam blade. Cale created a glass sword, attacking from behind, as Hawkeye swung his wings, edges razor-sharp...
