Zachary ducked down to reload, the shots missing him.
Hans and Werner ducked down a nearby hallway as soon as they heard the shooting. They spotted the two assassins and returned fire in earnest.
"Zach! We've got more!" Hans shouted, firing off a short burst at the two attackers.
Zachary finished reloading and shot at the guards. A grenade landed at his feet and he threw it out a window, where it detonated, spewing hot shrapnel on the Nevadan desert.
"I'll deal with the guards!" Zachary shouted, shooting a guard in the stomach. He looked at his pockets. "Great. I've got 2 more magazines."

The few remaining scientists in the Dragonstorm labs received the transmission. They grabbed various firearms that they had hidden in their labs, sealed the doors and waited.
One of the scientists, a husky Asian man, grabbed a hidden Remington 870 shotgun in his closet. His assistant, a Komodo Dragon, grabbed a Glock 18 pistol and loaded it.
"This is it. The last stand." The man said, cocking his shotgun.
"It is not the last stand. Dragonstorm will live. As long as Lab 101 and its personnel and experiments make it out intact, nothing else matters." The Komodo Dragon replied
"Then why are you armed?"
"I'd prefer to try and keep Dragonstorm at Pelvanida. It's going to be hard to establish a new base elsewhere. And if we manage to retake the control room, Dragonstorm can stay."

Dr. Branston radioed Ariol. "Ariol, what is the estimated time that the transports will arrive?" He looked at his watch. "I've got 22:30."

Dr. Bailey swore as a bullet grazed his gun arm and other one struck his leg. He quickly crawled underneath a wrecked console and quickly began to try and stem the bleeding in his leg. "Sgt. Clyco, you're out only hope." he muttered.

In one of the labs that Aiko, Vic and Feral were searching, four scientists, a Lemur, an Ostrich, two Humans, were huddled in the back office with their weapons at the ready.
The Lemur peeked his head out and noticed the darkened forms of three soldiers.
"Those guys don't look like Pelvanida guards." The Lemur muttered.
"Well, only one way to find out." one of the Humans said.
He along with the others snuck out of the office and leveled their weapons at the three soldiers.
"Identify yourselves!" the Lemur roared.
(OOC - These are actually ADSA <Anti Dragonstorm Alliance> members but the soldiers don't know that yet. )
