Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

It seemed to upset people so badly that we broke off before Adam had a chance to ban Tim :p

I'm no good at pranking people, I prefer to be straightforward and honest. :p

Heard you talking about this change for ages, Adam!  While I'm a bit disapointed to see the GoF as we knew it no more, like we've said before..it's not LBT that made us a community, but our friendship. :)  I'm sure WD will treat many members, both new and old, very nicely.

This has been discussed among the staff in previous months.  While we weren't exactly fond of the idea at first, we couldn't help but realize that Adam had simply better arguements for changing it than keeping it.  In the end I'm sure it will be for the best.  Adam knows what he's doing. ;)

I wasn't there when the GOF had that really weird April Fools Joke. (I read it in the AM) However, I was wondering if the GOF would do an April Fools joke this year, and AHAHA, they did! :lol

The Rabbit frightened me when i first saw it... :lol . If this is an April Fools Joke, good one. I've been getting fooled a lot today. :( I can't get on as frequently as i used to, so i was seriously thinking "No more LBT Forum?". But hey, if it does happen, i can live with it. I don't know what Watership down is, but it looks quite interesting. Maybe i'll watch it (or...read it?) sometime. ;)

Yes it is definitely worth reading and watching Watership Down sometime. :)

Anyway, couldn't fool many of you with it...its April fools!  But I do have a WD liking, so don't put it over me to make a WD board. :p :p  However, many of you overlooked the admins more subtle joke on the board, and as such, we got a couple of you good!  If you can find it you still have time!

In the meantime I'll transition our board back the way it should be.  I might keep an element or two of this theme...its a nice green/pink blend.  Like spring.
