"Longtail sure is something else, isn't he mom?" Twiz asked, noticing his mother had tagged along. Arkea shook her head, "for his age, yes, certainly".

Terri stepped forward and smiled at Longtail.
"Well little one...you certainly proved your worth here today...you should be very proud to be a part of Redclaw's gang."

Longtail smiled as he tore a chunk of meat off the longneck and chewed for a moment.
"Thank you Ma'am." He then turned to Redclaw and asked, "Would you like some? You are the herd leader after all."

Longtail then smiled and replied, "I'm just glad I found you all...I was getting tired of being alone out here..." he then looked around and called out, "Hey Twiz? Where are ya?? I know you're hungry...come on and get some meat while it's still fresh."

Hearing Longtail call, Twiz giggled, "Oh, I almost didn't think of that what with being impressed" he told his mom before darting over.

"Wow" he said, shaking his head as he landed to take some of the carcass too, "A longneck herd leader, I'm still impressed" he told Longtail with a smile.

Longtail turned his head for a moment and asked, "Wait...Redclaw took down Doc?! Why haven't I heard about it?!"

Terri smiled gently as she said, "Well if you lived in that silly valley chances are the grown-ups covered it up with some really big lie."

Longtail began shaking his head so swiftly that he made himself dizzy. "Y-yes please..." he said with a slight stutter.

Chomper smiled and led him to a cave. Inside were the remains of Doc. His head bones remained in good condition, as well as a few other bones.

"Here's the Lone Dinosaur," Chomper smiled.

Longtail looked on for a moment and had a sad look on his face as he reached out and touched Docs' skull. Then he for a moment he stopped breathing and just stared at the bones as if expecting something...but when nothing happened he took a long breath and turned to Chomper. "This...is kinda sad...but good at the same time I suppose..."

"Well, one time me and Rita were taking a walk, and Doc saw us and he tried to kill us just because we were sharpteeth," Chomper remembered.

Twiz had followed and just looked on, that part of him that sympathized with the Valleyers, including his cousin Kit he'd visit from time to time, greatly saddened by the news.

Even if he had heard Mr. Tylr talking with some of the other adults one time and heard him say Doc had been too harsh in his thoughts, he knew alot of dinosaurs still looked up to him and so it was...well as Longtail had put it, sad and good at the exact same time.

"Well...it's probably a good thing that the bones get to be there like that so that this is hallowded ground" Twiz tried to repeat the big word he'd heard at times, and even he wasn't sure if he meant this statement in favor of sharpteeth or flatteeth. It was all so confusing.

Longtail looked at the bones once more and smiled.
"Even in death, as long as the leafeaters remember his name and his heroic acts then he'll never really be dead...alright Chomper I'm done here. We can go back to the others now."

Ichy meanwhile was hanging with Dil and her egg. "Is there anything I can do now?" the sharpbeak asked the belly dragger.

Longtail turned to Twiz and patted him on the back
"Come on let's go." he said softly.

Dil smiled at Ichy and nuzzled him for a moment before speaking.
"Right now...no. Just having you here by my side is enough. Thank you for being with me through all this." she said with a soft, sweet voice.
