"I doubt it," Chomper said, going over to his parents.

Meanwhile little Greg was trying happily to bite Ichy. "Hey watch it!" the sharpbeak laughed nervously.

Hunter smiled at Redclaws comment.
"Yeah I know...but in his defense he should probably stop unless he wants me to hit him in the head!" she said as she lifted her claw to her face.

Longtail looked over at Rita and Chomper and gave a short smile as he continued to bite and gnaw at Hunters paw ignoring her threat.

Terri sighed at her son's response. "That's what I thought. So, if we escort the kid back, what are we going to do once he's there?"

Dein however stated, "he's a member of our gang now....he can't go back to the valley, besides he's still got that promise of his to keep."

Terri and Dein looked at each other at Chompers comment and smiled deviously.
"Our son is right Terri. We do get to eat the newbie if he messes up."

Terri giggled slightly as she replied, "I could use a snack right about now."

Longtail's eyes widened as he immediately let go of Hunters claw and sat down on his tail looking at the older sharpteeth. "I'll behave... promise!" he said as he nodded his head to seal his statement to those around him.

Hunter sighed as she felt Longtail let go of her claw and watched a few drops of blood dropped to the floor. 'I forgot that kid could bite so hard...' she said to herself before looking down at her old friend. "That's great... but it still doesn't solve my problem. I need to bring you back to the valley."

Chomper and Rita had to chuckle at the sight of Longtail feeling afraid.

"Could I have a bite of him Mrs. Chomper's mom?" Rita asked, teasing the flyer.

Meanwhile, Greg had fallen asleep. "Finally..." Ichy smiled, being able to relax.

Terri smiled at Rita and shook her head. "No dear. He is a member of our group now, and we try not to eat the new recruits."

Dil seeing Greg asleep she stepped over and gently lifted her son onto her snout and said aloud. "Don't worry so much Ichy, I'm sure Greg just wanted to play."

"Darn it," Rita fake frowned in fake disappointment.

"One problem," Redclaw said to Hunter, "Longtail here has sworn allegiance to this group."

Hunter pouted for a moment before she smiled brightly.
"Then I guess that means that I'll have to join your group as well.. after all my friends and mate wouldn't like it very much if I let the kid get away and didn't protect him."

Longtail slapped his face with his tail and sighed. "My days just keep getting better and better." he muttered with a sarcastic tone.

Hunter gave a broad smirk as she said to Redclaw, "I tracked you all down from inside the Great Valley. I think I can handle whatever is out here." she said

Longtail smiled as well as he replied, "Yeah she's got you there."

Terri stepped forward and asked, "So if we have two new recruits then how should they be tested Redclaw?"

Dein gave a devious grin as he said, "I think they should do the fire water walking test."

Dil looked over while balancing Greg on her nose and replied, "Are you nuts?! That's how we lost the last recruit."

"How does that test go again?" Chomper asked his folks, never having seen it before.

"It did end badly..." Ichy nodded.

Terri looked down at her son and answered, "The Fire walking test is where new recruits have to prove themselves worthy by walking across firewater with no help at all."

Dein took a step forward and added, "Yeah, and the last recruit to fail, may have been caused by me."

Dil looked up rather shocked as she excalimed, "I thought we all agreed we'd never speak of that again!"

Dein gave a short snort as he replied, "Look I didn't like him alright! He was annoying, stubborn and wouldn't leave me alone... so, I move one of the rocks he needed to get across..."

Terri sighed at the memory.

Longtail and Hunter however were trying their hardest not to laugh aloud.

Longtail and Hunter looked at each other with a serious look as they both laughed. Longtail then said, "Bring on the firewater thing! We can take whatever you all throw at us!"

Hunter smiled after she stopped laughing and nodded her head agreeing with Longtail. "Yeah... whatever you've got, we can take."

"Well, better take your time to prepare," Redclaw smirked, "The test will occur as the Bright Circle goes down." He then thought of something, "If you make it across, you're in the gang, if you fall in..well, that's that, but if you give up, then it's down the hatch for you!"

"What do we do if they mess up?" Rita asked her mother.

"If they don't sink, we probably get to eat them," Julie replied.

Longtail stared at Redclaw for a moment to see if he was being serious and then he simply scoffed aloud and replied, "Trust me when I say we WON'T give up! Not now... not ever!"

Hunter smiled and gave a short laugh.
"Us give up? That sounds like something only a flattooth would do. We are sharpteeth... now where exactly do we have to go for this challenge?" she asked with a serious look on her face.

Dein stepped forward and replied, "Terri and I can lead you there... after all it was my idea."

"I'm still tired," Ichy yawned to Dil. "Let's stay here."

Redclaw smiled, at Longtail's and Hunter's refusal to give in. "I'm proud to hear that. But how about I give you a time limit instead?"
