The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

With a bellow of pain, the blinded spiketail fell to his knees, a part of him wanted to just give in and get it to end quickly, but that urge to survive wouldn't let this get very far and he once again tried to stand, even if he couldn't have seen where he would want to go.

Longtail smiled as it seemed the spiketail was on his last legs, literally. However he gave a cry of pain as he felt the spiketails' tail connect with his belly, sending the young flyer rolling across the ground with a single puncture wound in his body. It hurt, there was no doubt of that, but Longtail knew he had to protect his friends and finish this hunt so he did the only thing he could: he stood up and bit down hard on the spiketails nose hoping to suffocate it.

Terri was concerned when she saw Longtail wounded, but relieved when he began attacking again.
"The kid is stronger than he looks. That's for sure." she then looked over to her mate and nodded her head.

Dein looked to Terri and saw her nod her head, and he understood what to do.
"Little ones, move out of the way." he called as he and Terri picked the spiketail up by the plates on his back, and tossed it back onto the ground.

Twiz nodded and darted out of the way.

The struggling spiketail who was focusing on breathing soon found himself levitating for some odd reason he couldn't identify, then, finally, mercy took over and he passed.

Despite being a driving force in it himself, Twiz couldn't help flinching a bit as the spiketail finally lost his life. Alternately he also felt a bit good that he'd been a bigger help than the usually scouting prey position his herd usually supplied for the bigger sharpteeth.

Still, all in all, it was really Longtail's victory personally he knew. He smiled over at the flyer, "that was impressive" he praised.

Longtail smiled when he heard Twiz's compliment but then groaned and tried miserably to hide the pain he was feeling from the puncture wound the spiketail had given him. However he did look up and smile at Terri and Dein before asking, "So...do I look scared now?"

Terri had to admit the kid definitely deserved his place here in this group now.
"No Longtail, you look like a brave and honorable sharptooth." She then looked to Chomper and Rita and asked,  "Are you two alright?"

Dein nodded as well and asked Redclaw, "You think the kid should have that wound checked?"

"Yeah," Chomper nodded, Rita rubbing some dust off of herself.

"I agree brother," Redclaw nodded to Dein, "We should have that injury examined."

OOC: So Twiz changed in concept...again. See instead of sharptoothed flyer the idea of him being what what Guido is (since we know there's gotta be more of 'em, Guido just doesn't know it) a "glider", who figuring out himself what exactly he is and going off his liking fish and not green food has guessed at an odd type of flying sharptooth; and actually as a confused kid I think he could pull off what he has been. In fact all that even gives me an idea here...

Twiz next landed, hearing the sharptooth's words. "Gosh yeah, Longtail" the orange patterned...flying...meat-eater (that much he'd figured out) said, "Those look deep" he frowned, looking at the cuts.

As he stood there, actually closer to the kill than he had been to any of the others he'd helped Redclaw's gang bring down, the death scent started to take it's first effects and oddly enough Twiz found himself scrunching his nose at the unpleasant odor. If he smelled it long enough it actually made him want to gag, but he didn't focus on this.

"Anyway..." he waved at the fumes, turning to Longtail again, "We should probably...wrap it, or something".

Longtail winced at the pain as he turned to face Twiz and sighed as he knew they were right. "Okay, okay...normally I would just tough this out....but it really is starting to hurt." He then faced Twiz and asked, "Do you know how to fix wounds like this?"

Terri suddenly realized that Longtail had a point...most sharpteeth were normally taught to suck up the pain and use it in the next hunt...but ver few knew how to fix wounds this deep.

Dein turned to Redclaw and asked, "DOes anyone back at the nest have any idea how to deal with this?"

Rita suddenly spoke up "I do!" the young t-rex smiled proudly. "My mom taught me stuff like this."

Twiz frowned, "Gosh...no..." he thought. Despite coming up with alot of hid ideas on his own, Twiz still had caught on fairly early to the philosophy of sucking up pain...or trying lest others think you week.

As Rita said she did know of a way, he sighed, "Oh thankgoodness" he said, "'cause I"m useless".

Longtail turned to Rita with a pained look on his face from his wounds and asked, "W-what do I need to do to help you?"

"There are certain plants and leaves we need," Rita explained to Longtail, "Just follow me everyone."

"I've heard about these cases," Redclaw commented.

As they moved off after Rita, Twiz turned with a confused frown, "Cases of injury...they happen all the time don't they..." the little spotter for the herd didn't get what Redclaw meant one bit.

"They're not often," Redclaw corrected himself, "But I know that dinos use things like that to heal injuries."

Longtail simply followed after Rita and sucked air through his teeth as he tried to not to complain about the pain.

Terri could see that Longtail was having a tough time with his wounds and she in a moment of compassion asked the hatchling, "Would you like me to carry you for a while?"

Longtail stopped walking for a second and immediately nodded his head in a yes fashion.

Dein then obliged and lifted Longtail into the air with her mouth and laid Longtail on Terri's back.

Rita eventually led the group to a field of blue plants.  "This is what you'll need Longtail," Rita pointed.

"Wow, you're pretty smart Rita," complimented Chomper. Rita kissed him in reply. "Thank you."

Twiz felt like gagging at all the sentiment, he still thought girls had cooties, but instead focused on plucking as many of the blue plant leaves as he could. "Here, we'll just wrap these around your wounds..." he began, "or...do you eat them...Rita?" he turned to the sharptooth, still holding his wing full of plants, to ask her exactly how they were suppose to be used.

"You wrap them," Rita confirmed. "These may taste lucky to us, but at least they still have their use."

"Oh, ok" Twiz said, then turned with this pile and began to try and wrap a few of the leaves, starting with wound on Longtail's wing, "Here, I think I can...yeah" Twiz managed to at least tie that off mainly successfully.

Almost immediately Longtail struggled not to writhe in pain as he felt the leaves being applied to his wounds. It was almost as bad as being lit on fire, and he was forced to take several deep breaths through his teeth just to keep from screaming.

Terri looked down at Longtail and actually smiled at how though the flyer was being.

Dein as well chuckled as he could see Longtail's discomfort, and his attempts to hide it no matter how miserably he failed. "Well at least we can count on this one not crying every time he gets wounded while hunting." he said with another laugh.

"It hurts at first, then it helps," assured Rita.
