The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Potential RPG Idea

I see. You'll have to take care of that part; it is a detour from the main plot, and I don't want to take more time away from the storyline. Feel free to make the guard respond as you will. I will control the prince of Hekaga when it is time for him to speak with Jake, but not much else.

Hmm, since I think everyone involved will be seeing a lot more action in the near future, I suppose it would help to elaborate on how everyone fights.  Hope nobody minds me using Final Fantasy job classes...

Akio:  Assassin
Touga: Paladin
Utena: Dragoon
Miki: Blue Mage
Juri: Red Mage
Akito: Samurai
Kuja: Black Mage

It works. Thanks for the details. If you don't mind... hmm. Could you give us a bit of detail about each one's specific powers, for those of us unfamiliar with those classes? Thanks.  :)

Sure thing, Noname!

Here goes:
Assassin:  Uses twin short or long swords (Akio uses one of each) to deliver lethal blows from the shadows, as well as using darkness to wound and confuse foes.

Paladin:  Bearing sword and shield, these stalwart champions of the light are not only talented with the arts of war, but also are masters of using holy magic to heal and protect allies

Dragoon:  Masters of the polearm, Dragoons are often able to draw the opponent's power into themselves to restore their strength, as well as use devastating jumping strikes, descending from the heavens to smite foes.

Blue Mage:  A master of the sword, their true strength lies in their ability to study and mimic an attack that foes use against them, turning it back on their enemies

Red Mage:  Perhaps the most balanced of warriors, these formidable fighters are both able to use the offensive Black Magic, bending elements to their will, and heal allies with the light of White Magic.  On top of this, they are also formidable swordsmen.

Samurai:  Wielding their distinctive Katana swords (Akito uses two, a rarity), these warriors pride themselves on the mantra "one cut, one kill".  Able to devastate enemies with lethal single cuts, these warriors tend to neglect defense, avoiding attacks with the agility of a raging gale.

Black Mage:  Those who master the path of using the elements to crush those who would defy their will, Black Mages are often weak in close range, instead relying on Fire, Ice, Water, Earth, Mana, Thunder, Wind, Poison, and Shadow to fight for them.

Oh, and Ruka is a White Mage.
Users of holy magic, these warriors are not truly strong in combat.  Their strength comes from supporting and defending allies.  Although they do posses several strong combat spells.

Thanks. Now to get to 20,000!  :lol

Seriously, I'm at the top of the rankings here. LBT-aholic is a rare status...

Now I've still got my work cut out if I want to get to the VERY top...

For the fourth time, this RP has fallen into a lull. Nick and metadude still have connection issues, Chiletrek is busy, and we all have things to do this holiday season. Still, there will be some time soon enough, and when we are ready, we ought to get back into the RP! There's a LOT of ground to cover. XD

I should really get around to bringing good old Eternion into things a bit more. Right now I'm a bit busy, but as you said in a chat the other day, I could always play some minor characters or something.

I do have some other characters I hope to add to my little entourage, but at the moment it seems a little inappropriate to just have them appear.

On that note, I would like to know if they are appropriate. One is a :crazy Kobold, the other a phoenix like bird creature, except with a strong earthly bond rather than fire. Finally, there's also a human male who has very deep and old connections with Eternion.

All three are appropriate, especially that kobold, as I have had many kobolds appear in the RP so far, including that "Torgo" one.

Go ahead, put in whatever you want! As long as it isn't a kobold with god-like powers.  :lol

Right. Here is my new character profiles, not sure when I'll have them show up though:

Klebol: male kobold shaman, which is pretty much similar to a sorcerer.

Age - quite young, possibly just reaching the mature age for a kobold.

Equipment - carries a small barbaric stick, used for his incantations. It is covered in feathers and jewels dangling from strings. It has an odd, charming sound when swung or used in a similar way... kind of like a wind chime. He wears rather little, just some old tattered cloth to cover himself.

Personality - he is very... odd. His brain is a little fried from a spell gone wrong, though he still has his moments of wisdom. He is reliable, but troublesome, and needs someone to keep a watch on him at all times... due to a childish nature. He likes to wander and get up to stupid activities... such as prodding things with his stick, or using a skull as a puppet.

Background - Klebol was to be the next shaman in his society. Raised by the current shaman, he learned a great many things about kobold life as well as the world that surrounded him.

However, one night as he practiced his magic... he cast a spell of such great power that his mind was rended and torn apart. Noone know of the spell he cast, but the screams and cries echoed through the halls, and perhaps further.

Broken and useless, he was thrown out of his tribe and left to die. This was not meant to be, and he survived with luck and what little wit he still had left. He used what magic he had to steal food from villages... to avoid danger, or even to fight it.

He barely made away with his life more times than he could count... unfortunately he can't count... so it's a bit of a mystery, but the shear amount of scars on his body say alot about what he has been through.

Lately, he wondered around... poking things and engaging in conversations with rocks. One night as he slept by a river, he met with a young girl... who revealed herself as an earth pheonix as she washed in a river.

Klebol was fascinated, and poked and prodded and pulled at her feathers. Tahlia introduced herself to the odd creature, and the two quickly formed a bond... though it was more because Klebol followed her around, and she couldn't stand the idea of neaving the scarred kobold on his own. Klebol now travels as a companion to Tahlia, as they head for the dracon lands.

- - - - -

Tahlia: female earth pheonix. Earth pheonix' have a strong bond with the world, and can shapeshift into other forms. For the most part, Tahlia takes the form of a young female human, so as to avoid trouble... as her kind are quite rare.

She has some minor powers, but mostly fights with a quaterstaff. Her bond with the earth means she is stronger when in the natural wild, but cities and other unatural setting can make her feel sick.

Age - very old, perhaps a few centuries. This does not show in her appearance, however.

Equipment - some tools and clothing fit for a female human. She carries extra clothes with her since shifting form will not magically give her new clothes... so she is essentially naked when taking humanoid forms.

Personality - a kind and caring individual. She is wise and watchful of those she takes under her wing (so to speak). She has a habit of attempting to teach others of what she has learnt over the centuries. She can be sarcastic and odd natured when pushed, but for the most part... the centuries have taught her to remain calm as much as possible.

Background - Tahlia was born atop a great spire that reached into the sky, a unforgiving but safe sanctuary. From there, she quickly adapted to her surroundings and learned to make a living. Soon enough, her instincts took over and she wished to fly to far away lands.

However, close to her original home, she was wounded by a human hunter, but managed to escape capture. She landed in a village, bleeding and weary. The village was a small fishing spot with very few inhabitants. Fascinated by the creature that had collapsed in their humble home, they took her in and cared for her until she healed. It was from this encounter that she took the form of a human in order to protect herself from harm, fearing another attack. She is both thankful and cautious of human kind... as they can be very unpredictable.

She traveled the world, for centuries. She watched empires rise and fall, and always changed her shape as trends changed and time wore on. Essentially, she was a great many people, living various lives throughout history... though her impact on it is all but naught.

In her current incarnation, a young red haired girl, she has travelled to the dracon lands with a young kobold... she has heard the rumours of trouble greater than anything that has affected this world.

Feel free to add them whenever you have the time.  :)

Do you need a recap of my characters?

Nah, I remember most of your characters. I'll just wait until the main story picks up before I bring them in.
