The party left the temple, and headed into the slums of the city.

"maybe because you wear footwear" said Rex in a joking tone
as soon as Rex said that Jake gave him a small punch in the arm

"ouch! what was that for?" said Rex rubbing his arm
"because it is not right to tease girls....even if it's a joke" replied Jake
"sorry Sasha" said Rex
Sasha replied "oh its ok"

"Many Dracons have never seen a human before, particularly the ones who live in the isolated slums. "Adkyon said.

"I used to live in a place like this..." Rhiga said.

The streets were filled with trash, vagrants, beggars, and large crowds of poor Dracons. The stench was overpowering in places where waste water and other "products" had been dumped. Children who were well past the age where they ought to have received more clothing were going around wearing nothing but loinclothes, as their parents couldn't afford anything better, and not far away, shifts of younglings could be seen going to and from sweatshops.

It was a place in need of serious urban renewal.

Jake looked around and saw some beggers that were extremely scrawny because they Probably hadn't eaten in a very long time

Adykon turned to face the beggars. "What is it? You want some food?"

"We're sorry. Really, we are. They just said that they would feed us if we distracted you" said on of the beggars.

"They?" said Rhiga.

All of a sudden, a dozen rogues, all male Dracons, burst out off the slums and surrounded the party.

Kavik got ready to do a spell as did Sivak jerked in startlement and tried to get closer to the center of the group.

"what the hell?!" said Jake, Rex and Sasha in unision

Jake put up his fists in a fighting stance and Rex did the same. Sasha went to the back of the group so she could cast some spells

A rogue approached Adykon and did something very foolish; he charged the Warlord head on, and in one quick swipe of the warlord's sword, sudden found his head off.

"First blood to us" Adykon thought.

Jake charged in and used alchemy to transform his arm into a sword and he cut off both of the enemy Dracons legs in one swift movement

the Dracon screamed but Rex jumped on his head and snapped his neck

Kavik did a spell so his body was unwrapped in flames. It would damage any foes who attacked him in melee & protect him from fire or cold damage, and he had chosen protection from heat damage.

Sivak did a defending hands spells as she drew her daggers to hand to the 2 phantom spectral hands that appeared to help parry attacks.

Rhiga fought one of the rogues using both her daggers. She was fighting hard, but he was stronger than she was. Using her superior agility, she kept dodging until Adykon could finish her attacker off.

Sasha was about to cast a spell when all of a sudden an enemy Dracon jumped on her and tried to snap her neck, Jake saw this and the Dracon turned around and he just knocked Sasha out with his fist.

Jake yelled "YOU MISERABLE BASTERD!!!"

Adykon opened his mouth, and blasted the rogue who had knocked Sasha out with his acid breath. Being such a strong Dracon, his acid was more potent than a typical male's, and hurt a lot more, even though Dracons were , to a degree, resistant to acid attacks.

Kavik drew his twin Katars and met the attack of one of the rogues.

Sivak drew her twin war fans, using one to try to swipe the face of one of the rogues who attacked her, one of the defending hands parrying his blade.

At this point in the fight, only half of the enemy rogues were still up and fighting; the other half had either been killed or had been injured and forced to retreat. The remaining six were still fighting on.
