"I am 14 years old and unarmed" Selturma said. "I will go with you... but only if Rhiga or Adykon come with me as well. This place is dangerous."

Selturma had been trained in the use of martial arts, and she was quite good at them, given her height and build. Still, her skin and bones were a lot softer than those of the Dracon males, and while she could punch and kick well, her clawed limbs were no replacement for a good sword or axe; and she lacked the training to use such weapons.

Yes you do need to get away from your friend, otherwise at the rate you two are going, you'll end up doing it, within a matter of months.. the rules say 16.. and I know a friend who mated before then. both she and her mate were sevwerely punished.." Isla shudderded. ' So to lessen that risk.. you need to spend some time away from Rex and his charms..

Well, I don't see that day coming for awhile yet. My husband will have to put up with me, as will his other wives.." Isla grinned.. "My father hashis status well grounded, he has basically let me and the younger children live freely as we please.. but when that comes, I will bear children to my mate, because I want them, and am ready to have a family for family's sake. Since I am one of 52, it doesn't matter as much to the family if I have kids, than say my elder vbrothers don't have kids.. and they will.. Father will have hundreds if not thousands of grandchildren..

So lets say If I displeased my father, he might order me into a relation ship with a daughter of a neighboring lord. in that instance, both of us would be forced to live together, with all that implies, until a male came along to claim us, and he would claim both of us.. we would no say in the matter." Adykon's voice turned grim "That is illegal, you know. No king of ANY Dracon city would allow that sort of unnatural behavior to continue for long, if he knew of it. If word of this gets out, your father will either have to successfully cover it up, or your entire family name is going to be tarnished, and you may lose everything."
