The party entered the rain forest... the trees were well-rooted and quite aged... if this was an enchantment it would have to be a very long-lasting one... this jungle was probably natural, not magical... although magic might have preserved it...

"Incredible...How can something like this exist in the middle of a desert?"
He wondered aloud...

The valley was surprising... and vast! Several rivers snaked through it, including the widest that Adykon had ever seen! At either end, the river went underground when it hit the mountains... so that it did not extend into the desert... and, there were Dracons living there, as was evident by footprints found in the soil...

The inhabitants they found were simple tribes living in straw huts... Dracons who were the remnant of some previous era... when approached, they avoided the party like it was the plague... the same thing happened at every tribe that the party approached...

He paused, sniffing at the air intently.
"That scent...It's a fauxen village! And it's close! C'mon, we should go check it out."
He said, crouching low to track the scent...

The scent led the party to a large group of soldiers... the same kinds that had attacked the wedding earlier! One of them had a jar containing some liquid... the which was probably the source of the scent...

"You really are easy to fool, aren't you?" One of them said. Then, the soldiers charged.

Akito stared the soldiers down, and as they rushed, he reached back and drew his two swords. In a flash, he was upon one, slashing him cleanly in half as he parried another attack...

The soldiers and the party fought, but Adykon and Eriol were too much for even the best of them... before taking too many losses, the enemies retreated... this wasn't a full scale assault... merely a test...

Adykon saw that Akito was getting upset "Great, not another crazy mammal!" He thought to himself. He saw that Jake, Rex, Sasha, Vaeri, Marcus, Eriol, Arianne, Selturma, Vespion, and himself were alright... something was up with Akito.

"Calm down, warrior. You did well in that fight." Adykon said.

Akito hissed quietly, sheathing his swords after clearing the blood off of them.
"Those...Those bastards! That blood was definitely my family's! I...am going...to kill them..."
He panted, tail flicking...

The party continued on, following the footprints of the retreating soldiers, until they came to a fortified town... which was much too strong to be assaulted directly by the party... it was clear that this settlement was acting as a sort of base for those soldiers... and the scent trails led them there... sadly, neither Marcus nor Vaeri could smell any sign of Rhiga here...
