Meanwhile...
Asthia's tower was a real mess. Corpses of dead Dracons lay everywhere around the tower, and a dead dragoness still lay where she fell on the inside. Asthia had gotten up, and was recovering in her room, attended to by her kobold servants, who were rapidly applying healing salve to her many wounds, and doing their best to keep her relaxed and comfortable.
Adykon was busy going over the notes he had been given by Asthia's servants, detailing the tasks he'd have to do in order to awaken this horror that lay dormant under the tower. He longed to rip up the notes, to forget the tasks before him... but his geas would not allow that...
The biggest winner in all this was Arcantas. His hated mistress was injured, and the one who had killed him was her slave... he could kill Adykon if wanted to, but the time was not right for that... not yet.
