"Wait a minute... you aren't from that tower, are you, Annette?" Adykon asked her, pointing to the tower... "Wait... does anyone else see it? I made the gestures as instructed, but..."

"I can sense the presence of magic... but I cannot see a tower." Vespion replied. "Do you still have that gem, Adykon? The one you told me you used to determine that Selturma was NOT magically bonded to Ilsa?"

"Yes!" Adykon exclaimed, taking the gem out. It glowed brightly, indicating that powerful magic was indeed near. "Do the gestures, Vespion. Does it work."

"It works" the cleric replied, after repeating the hand gestures. "Well... I see a tower... and a wooden door... hold on." Moving over to what Rhiga thought was thin air, Vespion knocked on the door three times. For a minute, there was no answer, but the sound of something skittering across the floor to open the door was heard after a few seconds.

The one to open to door was a kobold.

"Greetings. If you were told how to find this door, my master will want to see you." the little thing told Vespion. Looking behind the cleric, the kobold saw just how BIG the party was. "Uh... there's so many of you......"

Turning to the party, the little kobold introduced himself. "I am Torgo. I take care of the place while the Master is away. There is no way out of here. It'll be dark soon. There is no way out of here..."

"Is there something wrong with that Kobold?" Seturma whispered to Rex.

(OOC: Nice Manos reference there  :lol )

Eternion shuddered, he hated kobolds. They were ugly, annoying, smelly things... and he recalled having spent a great deal of time having dealt with the little vermin.

Of course, he wouldn't let his past prejudice get in the way. He simply smiled and bowed... then turned to the others.

'We're not going in there, are we? I don't like the look of this. It's almost as if it was coming from a bad story plot or something...'

He shook his head. 'Oh, what the heck... things can't get any worse.'

He just had to say that...

"I hope you are not a bad-luck carrier Eternion. Bad stuff is the least we want and need right now." - Eriol said as he went closer to the door.

Arianne smiled to the Kobold and bowed her head as a sign of respect, her greeting was more authentic than that of the Dracon, since she has not been battling much with them at all.

Giving the kobold with a quizzical look, Adykon, holding Kos in his arms, decided to leave the talking to Vespion.

"You master is a wizard, isn't that correct?" the cleric asked Torgo.

"Yes... the master knows all that goes on in this area. I keep the place while the master is away. The master knows all that goes on in this-"

He went on like that for some time, leading most of the party, even Kos, to roll their eyes at this.

"Is your master here right now? We need the help of an experienced mage. It's urgent!" Rhiga interjected, gesturing towards her bracelet.

"Very well. The Master will be greatly disturbed. I'll take you inside, but be warned, the Master will be greatly disturbed." Torgo replied. The kobold turned around, walking in an unsteady gait...

The party entered the tower, walking into a gray stone chamber with stairs leading up. There was the strangest music coming from another room...

Kuja sighed.
"Should he fail...I may have a plan that can save Rhiga..."
He said, though he seemed unsure...

Torgo led the party up the stairs into a room with many seats, couches, and cushions. Rhiga looked nervous. Although she had over a day left, every second lost was one she missed dearly.

"Could we see your master... like NOW please" the female said, eyes wide.

"The master... will not be happy. He... is busy. The master... will not be-"

"Shut up!" Vespion shouted at Torgo.

"I'll... get the master. He will be mad. I'll get the master." Torgo said, hobbling off into the next room. As soon as he was out of sight, he straightened up and walked like a normal kobold. Passing several rooms, he knocked on the door with a gibbous moon symbol painted on it.

"Master, there's some guests to see you. It's the one's you predicted that would show up!" the kobold said.

"Who did you pose as this time?" the 'master' replied.

"Torgo."

"Oh... not again. Now they all think I'm some eccentric master who lives in the middle of nowhere..."

"Well, you sorta fit the profile. You have several wives, a servant, you make me call you 'master', and you used to worship-"

Opening the door, a Dracon dressed in black robes with two red hand symbols underneath the arms emerged. "I'll see them in five minutes... after I've changed OUT of these... 'Manos robes' and not a second earlier!" he shouted, slamming the door behind him.

'Ah, most excellent... we've walked into a madhouse,' Eternion said with a groan.

It wasn't the first time he had been in a place that could be considered... far from normal, and considering how unpleasant that last experience had been... he certainly didn't like being here. It showed in his scales, seemingly dulling in colour as the old Dracon showed a hint of nervousness.

'I hate madhouses,' he said bluntly.

'And Kobolds,' he said a few seconds later.

'The master' entered the room, dressed like he was an average, functioning Dracon... mostly. If not for the necklace of kobold claws he wore around his neck, one would say he was almost normal.

"So, you have come to my tower seeking aid. First tell me who sent you and what it is you need. My name is Glauron, master of the-"

"That's not your real name!" shouted 'Torgo.'

"-shut up. As I said, I am master of the tower, and an expert in teleportation spells. Now, what is it that you seek?"

"The Prince of Per-, I mean Hekaga?! I loathe that upstart! That bracelet is as good as gone!" 'Glauron' told the party. "Give me a moment to think on exactly how to go about this... it will be off within the next 5 minutes."

-
if you can really do that we will owe you a tremendous debt of gratitude" Marcus said.

"I know what I'll do! Rhiga, hold your arm out." the 'master' told her

As she did that, the mage concentrated on the bracelet. For his eccentric nature, he ha d a clear grasp of magic, and he knew what he was doing. Moving his hands in closer to the bracelet he mouthed a few magic words, opened his eyes wide, and giving the bracelet just a touch, it made it disappear in a flash of blue light.

"Me? Teleport ALL of you to Minbenthac?! I can't do that. It would take me way too much power..." Glauron replied...

"Then, could you take a look at this amulet?" Adykon asked. "It was supposed to teleport us all back to Minbenthac, but we were diverted to Hekaga instead...

"Let me take a look at that... where did you get this?"

"The great temple in Minbenthac." Vespion replied. "It was approved by the high priests and mages. It was with Adykon the whole time, you see, it all started with..." and after some explanation of what had happened with Rhiga's capture, Asthia, and Hekaga, Adykon gave the amulet to Glauron to look at.

Taking five minutes to examine it, the mage replied; "The energies it was exposed to in Asthia's tower altered the magics the amulet was able to lock onto when returning. Since it was unable to lock onto the relatively clean magic of Minbenthac, it locked onto the nearest source of darker, more corrupted magic, that of Hekaga. It will take me an hour or so the cleanse the dark magic from your artifact, then I will recharge it and send you on your way. Normally, I'd ask for compensation, but if even half of what you said is true... the whole world needs you to succeed on your mission."

Kuja bowed, awed.
"That was a mighty spell, Glauron.  I may not have the same bond as many of these adventurers do with Rhiga, but I thank you."
He said, looking at the Dracon with reverance.

Akio nodded.
"Most impressive, sir.  You have my thanks."
He stated...

Touga smiled.
"You've saved our friend.  Our gratitude is the least we can give you."
He said, offering a paw...

Akito saluted him with the swords he carried, a high display of respect from a Fauxen.
"Thank you, sir.  Your kindness will not be forgotten."
He declared, bowing his head...
