Adykon wondered why the room was kept so cold.

An official who was working with the oracle approached the party. After greeting Adykon, he explained how the oracle worked. First, each member of the party had to pay a certain amount of money to ask a question. The question asked could be in any form, but "yes or no" questions yielded the most certain results.

Additionally, for much more money, the oracle could give detailed explanations about a certain topic that he was asked about.

"Each of us can ask a question, or questions, provided that they have enough money. I will ask about the lost city, then ask a more detailed question about whoever or whatever is sending spells to attack us."

"Oracle" Adykon said. "Can you hear me?"

"I can" was the reply, the oracle said, eyes still shut.

"I have paid for my question and explanation. I will ask you my question first."

"Proceed." said the oracle.

"How far away is the lost city from here, and in what direction is it from where I am standing right now?"

"If you start walking South, you will learn the truth in the next month or two, depending on your actions. The truth lies in the lost city, and in the lost city, lies the truth."

Adykon asked his second inquiry. "Tell me, oracle, about who or what is sending the magical attacks against my party."

The oracle's eyes opened, and the room grew warmer. Suddenly, the light green glow that had been emanating from the pool of water changed to a reddish hue, and there was a sense of power building in the water.

An image of the lost city appeared above the pool of water, showing the statue that Adykon was tasked to find. He estimated that it was no more than the height of two of his hands were long.

"Behold, the statue of Kothar" the oracle said. "It contains a great power."

The scene shifted to two Dracons, one male, one female, each of which was a mage, judging from the power which emanated from them.

"The image which you see shows the guardians of the statue. It is their job to prevent anyone from removing it."

"They are the ones who have been sending the magical afflictions at your party."

The scene changed again to show a great mass of ruins. This was clearly the lost city.

"The mages you saw are protecting the artifact from those who would take it, and will use every means they know to stop you."

"How can we overcome them?" Adykon said.

"It will all become clear in time" The oracle replied. "Just remember, all is not as it seems." The pool of water turned back to its normal state.

Jake was watching Adykon talking with the oracle.......something was lurking in the back of his mind.

Jake started feeling ill.

"uhhh......something........is wrong....uhhhh...." muttered Jake

Jake yelped in pain as his mind was taken over "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!"

"It is happening again." - Eriol said, he turned around to face in the direction Jake is, keeping a hand ready to take one of his swords, just in case.

Jake used alchemy on his arm and it turned into a sword. Jake charged at the party

Adykon barely had any time to react as he drew his sword. He barely stopped Jake from attacking him, and was having a surprisingly hard time keeping Jake at bay.

"Snap out of it Jake! You are being possessed! The mages must be watching us now, and saw that were had learned about them!"

Rhiga saw her opportunity to help the party and get revenge on Jake. She put her best foot forward, and kicked where she had been kicked by Adykon earlier.
