"Arcantas! What in the nine hells are you doing?!" said a female voice... a dark female voice... not the calm, mellifluous one Adykon had heard in his visions...

" How we get out of here alive" minna thought to herself as she saw the archmage. She knew that they wee getting close, if Arcantas was here, that meant they were going in the right direction.. It also meant they were in deep trouble, given that arcantas' power far outstripeed thier combined strength, onlyy Vespoin was at a similar rank in magic, and Arcantas powers dwarfed his. She did not hear the dark female's command.. nor the reaction it brought out of Arcantas...

Suddenly, a female stepped out of the jungle... a female Dracon with golden eyes... and... long fangs... she was dressed in a red silk top and loincloth... something was very odd about her... her pale white belly and reddish skin looked normal, but there was an aura of evil magic in her very being...

Akito wheeled about, swords drawn, as he stared down Arcantas.
"What are you doing here, you scum?"
He asked, eyes narrowed and ears slicked back. At the arrival of the female, his eyes shifted further, and his fur began to stand on end...

Touga, Kyuichi, Miki, Juri, and Utena had drawn their weapons as well.
"You...You're the one who imprisoned us!"
Touga growled, sword at the ready...

"You...are going to die for what you've done..."
Kyuichi hissed evilly...

Juri swung her rapier in the shape of an X, fur standing on end.
"You won't be able to escape."
She taunted...

Miki gripped his sword and dagger warily.
"The odds are strongly not in your favor, so I'd strongly advise against attacking us."
He said matter-of-factly...

Utena swung her naginata, eyes resolute.
"Stand aside! Or be cut down, your choice!"
She yelled defiantly...

At that point, an arrow was fired at Juri, seemingly out of thin air. Arcantas had not shown up alone at all; he had simply cast a spell of invisibility on a squadron of soldiers that he had brought with him.

Arcantas did NOT plan on that female being there, however...

It may have been just the luck of the moment, but when the strange female appeared, Arianne began charging her magic, for precaution. That allowed here to instinctively raise a wind spell that made the arrow to fly away from Juri.

"Where did that arrow came from?" - Eriol asked as he got his crossbow in one hand and a sword in the other.

"This has to be another of Arcnatas tricks." - Arianne replied, ready to raise more defensive winds.

The female approached Arcantas and dismissed his spell of invisibility with a wave of her hands, revealing several heavily-armed soldiers.

"I was hoping that we could trap this party closer to the tower... but this will have to do" she said, her eyes a glowing gold... the same color as those of Arcantas's eyes...

Minna and Ilsa both pulled out thier staffs, and started casting spells, while ilsa was a talented mage, she was not at the level of archmage yet, her teacher had told her it would take her several years of traning before reaching that point. And here she was dealing with two very powerful archmages....

Several decades was more like it... becoming an archmage was very hard indeed...

Without using anything to focus his magic, Arcantas was able to pull the staffs from the hands of Minna and Isla... then, they flew out of his hands into the clawed fingers of the female, who used her magic without wand or staff...

"This is bad." - Arianne said, she then looked briefly to her husband and then she took a couple of seconds to concentrate and then to send a strong wind spell towards the evil female Dracon, followed instantly by arrows launched by Eriol in hopes for a direct strike.

The evil female easily conjured a shield of flames in almost no time, burning the arrows up... then the flame shield disappeared... all in under two seconds. The flames just... rose and fell in time to burn up the arrows completely, and as soon as it had appeared... it was gone...

Something was seriously odd...

Akito had had his eyes shut the entire time, but now opened them. In a deeper, darker voice, he finally spoke.
"Die...You Dracon Scum!"
He yelled, a jet of pure mana bursting from his back, shooting him towards the two enemies...

"Oh please, don't give me those little sparkles, you damned furry." Arcantas said, as he easily deflected the mana towards the female... "Asthia, you can have it", he said, talking to the female, who easily absorbed the mana as if she had soaked it up like she was a sponge.

Minna and Ilsa had retreated back, after thier stafs were taken from them. Most of thier power resided in those staffs, and Arcantus and Asthia had taken them away as if it was nothing.. which, Minna reflected it probably was.. While they did have some magical training in hand gestures and incantations.. it wouldn't do them any good, not against such strong magicians..

Asthia, on the other hand, casted all of her magic using hand gestures... and she gestured in the direction of Adykon! He was knocked back by a bolt of glowing blue magic, which failed to hurt him, but it DID succeed in knocking his sword from his hands.

(We will cut back to the action after this post. Right now, the party is being attacked by Arcantas and a female Dracon vampire name Asthia, along with some of their soldiers. And this takes place in a jungle valley in the middle of nowhere.)
