Meanwhile...
The sound of laughter could be heard from Asthia's spacious quarters. Apparently, she thought that the idea she was posing a threat to Adykon to be... humorous.
"But... you tried to kill me out there" Adykon told her. "You tried to kill... all of us."
"I had to make it look like I was trying to kill you." Asthia said, bouncing on the balls of her feet, her large , round tiotleglas on her chest bouncing with her. "Yes, the master wants you dead, that much is true. But, if he doesn't know you're not dead, all is well... after all, what he doesn't know can't hurt him" She said with a smile.
Was this for real? Was it a trick? But... if it was a trick, why go to the trouble of doing all this? Was Asthia trying to get information from him? If that was the case, why didn't she ask any questions? Was she trying to get his guard down first? Irrelevant. She could have had him killed at any time... so... was she really attracted to him? And if so, what kind of attraction could vampires feel for the living? Was she really the same as a living female? Touching her soft skin, Adykon could not tell that she was out of the ordinary at all. Everything was there... flesh, teeth, eyes, nose, tongue, tail, horns, and even her... other parts.
But... did she make HIM into a vampire? Maybe she already did and he was dead, and didn't know it! But... Adykon couldn't see or feel any bitemarks on his neck, or anywhere else on his body... And the sun didn't affect him at all... to be fair, Asthia also appeared unaffected by the sun... her flesh was actually a shade darker than his... he had expected vampires to be pale and pallid...
"So... let me get this straight. You're telling me that you never intended to harm me?" he asked her.
"Yes. That's correct." Asthia replied. "I don't want to fight you... I want to... well, you can take a guess..." she said with a wink.
