Arianne was silent, she still in a big pain even though she knew Vaeri for only a very short ammount of time, but they did become friends. But she no longer shed tears, because she knows she must be strong too.

Akito stared into the dark black surface of his master's sword. A surface blackened, some said, by the fires of hell itself.
"I swear...Vaeri...I won't let your death be in vain..."
As he said this, he drew the blade across his palm, cutting a deep gash.
"I swear by this wound...I will never hesitate, never falter again! I will not ever run again! And I swear to your memories, that I will not fail ever again!"
He said defiantly, standing up and raising the bloodied sword to the sky...

The party slowly gathered. The valley was saved, but not all was well. Vaeri was dead. Gerasia was still a vampire. Toby's mother was also killed. Many warriors of the tribes had fallen. Even though the horror would be sent away for good, the damage had been done. It would take many years of peace and growth for the lands to restore themselves to their previous state, and even longer before Asthia's tyranny was nothing more than a dark legend of the past, and the heroes who came to stop her and save the valley became the stuff of myth...

"Wait... Rhiga, are you pregnant?!" Adykon asked, more than slightly surprised. It was yet another surprise in a day full of shocks and surprises... what else would happen?

Now that Adykon had said it, the whole party wanted to hear...

"Yes, it is true. Marcus got me pregnant. I'll lay the egg and raise the child. We'll be married long before our child hatches."

After some more congratulating, it was finally time to leave. The party gathered in a circle, as Adykon readied his amulet.

"Alright everyone. The amulet has enough energy to teleport us all one time. It is preset to take us back to Minbenthac. Are we all ready?"

Once everyone gave their assent, Adykon activated the amulet. The party was engulfed in blue light, and then... they vanished in a bust of white light...

Arriving in a big city, the party appeared in a flash of white light... but, something was... different. The buildings were gray and many were empty. The streets were cold and dark, and everyone around them looked very, very poor... to top it off, there was a statue in the center of an inoperative fountain... a statue of the prince of Hekaga...

"I don't think we're in Minbenthac anymore" Rhiga said.

no, this is dedefinitely not mithelbec.. you must have done something wrong Adkyon' Ilsa said , a big frown on her face " This looks like Hekaga.." She said, and mInna shivered " the reputation of Hekaga king was poor, to say the least.. Hekaga was not a place that welcomed travelers..

Hekaga was a city which exported textiles, food, and magical and religious items. It welcomed merchants to buy and sell, but only in limited areas of the city. On the whole, it was an oppressive, dreary place. The rich lived in incredible luxury, and had more servants than any other nobility in the Dracon lands... but they also had more poverty.

The poor, for their part, had to do all they could not to starve. When they had spare money and time, they would spend it trying to distract themselves from their miserable existence.

"I grew up here" Rhiga said, clearly afraid. "I-I'm not supposed to be here... the prince of Hekaga has it out for me... the last time I saw him, it was under Asthia's tower... he works for her. If he knows I'm here... I'm dead."

"There are no such posters" Rhiga said. That practice was rare among the Dracons... "We should get indoors, though. Much safer that way, especially at night."

The party went to the inn, and opened the door, only to discover that the inn structure on the surface had a large underground component to it as well... a tunnel that led to a much larger structure... a HUGE inn!

marcus ilsa and minna walked along the tunnel until they reaced the front desk. the room wa very crowded and had the smell of seediness. 'excuse me?' Miinna said to the dracon standing on the front counter. ' my partty would like to check in..

"How many do you have?" The large, green bartender asked. He looked over at the party and saw a large number of Dracons, Fauxen, and a couple of humans and bipedal panthers.

Adykon spoke, pointing to each party member "There's myself, Rhiga, Marcus, Isla, Minna, Jake, Rex, Sasha, Selturma, Vespion, Eriol, Arianne, those Fauxen, and Vaer... sigh... just us." He said, sadly.

oh wow..' marcus said as he looked over at the surrounding room, which was filled with Dracons although in a naerby corner threre was a small pile of grasc which served as a bed..

"There are cushions and beds which are brought out at night" the bartender said, counting the money and giving the change to Minna. "It is crowded, but cozy..."

Already there were dracons lying down and getting ready for bed... or what passed for bed. The inn's wooden floors were covered in an odd assortment of proper beds, straw beds, cots, pillows, cushions, blankets, and far too many Dracons for the limited space. To make matters more awkward, female Dracons slept without anything on... :blink:

Well THis is going to be an awkward night' Marcus said.. "We'll try and stick as close together as we can..' in a cornber there were an assortment of unused beds,.. But the group would be spread out.. Minna went over and loked at the bed.. it was small, but loking around at nearby beds, there were 3-4 dracons in each of them, male and female alike.. overcrowding had forced many into the same bed, otherwise there was not enough room. mnna saw several females sharing one bed.. this gave her an uneasy feeling.. "We're going to have to sghare the same bed, iT appears Ilsa said to her.. "just stay on your side.." Minna nodded..
