"Lord Margas, I am the only one who can remove it in time to spare them Damnatio Memorae, if you kill me, it won't be long, before Minna's will breaks completely, and she reveals her abominable preferences in public, and then, there would be no saving her, or Ilsa..I'm in no mood to be deal-making, either, since the five of you, killed all my drakes, which I was saving for a nice junket...' Her eyes flashed.

You arrogant bi' Minna's curse was choked off as Malcia's squeezed her claw into a fist.. Minna felt pain race through her body and she sank to a knee. " if any of you, try to harm me in anyway, physically, or magically, i will break her, and fling her upon Ilsa" At this Margas roared. ' you wouldn't dare harm my betrothed!"

Lucien is marrying minna.. Ilsa said.."Oh yes, the only one of the five of you, who has no magic.. Malcia turned and pointed her staff at Lucien 'you are strong, but that will not save you against my magic.. i can easily kill you where you stand.. i gather your opinion of female mages is low.. well apart from you being a misogynist bastard , and what male noble these days isn't?,.. you've never met a female mage worth a darn... until now' she grinned.

"We challenge you..' Ilsa said" to a game of Kanu Dri' Margas said. " oh. the disappearing portal game' Malcia's eyes glimmered " very well.. If you should manage to find me.. within an hour... and defeat me in magical combat.. then I will give the girls the antidote which will take effect the morning after being digested.. if you fail.. the girls are mine..well Minna will be.." Minna snarled. Malcia gestured and several portals appeared, before entering one of them.. Malcia paused. " Since Lucien knows no magic, he will remain here, Kanu Dri requires considerable magical skill to play well..Farewell, enter the portal that will remain after i leave.. they will take you to different parts of the tower.. let the game begin.

"What am I supposed to do?! I CAN'T just stay here and do nothing! Malcia, show yourself you bi-oww!"

A drake had bitten Lucien on the ankle, trying to tear off the spur on the back of his foot. Another drake had bitten onto his tail, as he flailed wildly to get them off. These were younger drakes than he had faced earlier. Probably the offspring of the ones he had killed earlier.

"Ahh! Get off! Get off! Off me, you stupid pieces of-!" he shouted, only to trip over a third one who had charged he leg. With all his might, he kicked the one that was biting his foot into the other two, lucky to keep all his toes intact.

Margas grabbed Lucien and jumped through a portal which closed off a ffew seconds later. they fell together into a pile of straw.. they were in a small room, sealed oin by a solid iron door 'darn it.. we're in a dungeon cell, probably as far away from Malcia as possible.. sorry lucien for dragging you along, but it was the only way to get you away from those drakes' Margas said walking over and giving the door a closer examination.. "Come give me a claw with this door.

Lucien applied force to the door, which gradually swung open with a loud CREEEAAAAKK! They were still far away from Malcia and the girls. It would be up to Minna and Ilsa to stop the evil sorceress and break the curse, it seemed.

I fear you're right" margas said as he exited the cell into a narrow passageway.. "Minna's in no condition to fight Malcia, she's just use the curse on her to make Minna do her biding.."
_ Minna and Ilsa had jumped into a portal which lead them into a room full of sand. "Great, not a good place to start..oh well" Ilsa said. Minna frowned. " we have an hour to find her.."

Lucien wondered where he was. He certainly didn't think the tower was this big. Then, it hit him; the tower had portals which led to pocket dimensions, each of which could be fit inside of a small room in the tower, probably locked away. Malcia wasn't powerful enough to do this, but Dememoras was. He, or one of his agents in all likelihood, had created these dimensions for her.

Each dimension could be as large as a planet... perhaps bigger! Or... it could be as small as a room. Whatever the case, it certainly gave Malcia more room...

(OOC: Here is the first picture of Rhiga, in a VERY early version. This one has all of her parts covered; nothing bad is showing.)

'Lets just keep going.. there's a portal around here somewhere.. which will bring us closer to Malcia.." Margas said.. "Under the rules.. there must be a portal placed in the area.. you cannot just send him off somewhere without giving them a way of getting back.. We just need to find it.."

Lucien looked around for a portal. He felt a sensation of electricity on his horns and claws when he walked over a warm patch of the floor. Feeling some heat beneath his feet, he called to Margas;

"Come quick! Something us beneath us! I think it's the portal!"

Minna and Ilsa found themselves in a dank barren room, the only light came from small torches in the wall. "Oh, she's not here' Ilsa said letting her staff glow and moving it around in a circle. " Minna frowned. 'What happens if we don't get to her Ilsa.. in time.."
_ you know the answer Minna it won't be pleasant..' Ilsa sighed.. "You need to exercise self control..once we get the cure from her, you'll be fine.. this will have been a bad experience but it will be over..

"Portals are rarely located beneath your feet.. but we'll check all the same' Margas replied gesturing with his staff. the ground began to quake, and part, sure enough a white portal glowed beneath them. "Nice work Lucien.. onward!" Margas said jumping into the portal. which opened into a room filled with flowers. the weet smell of honey was in the air.. before them stood a small pedistal with writing on it "It read "Only some flowers in here are true., find them ere the small fades and the opening be lost.."

Meanwhile...

Rhiga was feeling restless. She got up from her bed and went down the stairs. She wasn't feeling quite right. Her skin felt all tingly, her hormones were raging, and her stomach was feeling like she had drank bad milk. Had her time spend under Asthia's tower affected her in some way? Stumbling onto a couch, still naked, her breathing increased. Feeling like something was squeezing her from the inside-out, Rhiga realized that she was about to lay her egg months too early, at the very threshold of survival for the unborn child.

"Marcus!! I'm about to lay the ehhhh-aahhh!!"

By the gods" Marcus swore as he rushed into the room. Rhiga was convulsed in pain, her face was drawn and she was laying on her back with her legs apart. The egg wasn't visible, but judging from her groans it wouldn't be long.. "Just.. Breathe.. and.. and. push.. yeah, push.. Rhiga! push it out.."

Adykon turned to Tallon. "So, what is it that you do? You are a very rich Dracon. Your wealth has to come from somewhere..."

"Yes, it does. I am mainly a... manager. I own huge estates, mines, ships, caravans, and roads, among other things. My wealth comes from control over every step in the production and sale of goods. I own tool-makers and smiths who make the shovels and picks that mine the gold out of my mines, for example. I own two smelters which work with the metal that I produce, and it is shipped by my fleet and by my merchants along my roads and shipping lanes that, while I do not control them explicitely, I am the dominant force. I also lend out some of my wealth and charge interest on it. Then, there is insurance, my stake in Minbenthac's bank, my farms, my herds, the appreciation of my antiques, my..."

The list went on.

Meanwhile...

Rhiga was bleeding and screaming in pain. The egg was quite small and the shell was thin, but something was wrong in her. It was causing her extreme agony. She dug her claws into the couch, tears streamed down her eyes. The egg began to exit her body...

Marcus grasped the egg gently and began to pcradle it helping it slide out. " one more push.. and there' the Marcus held the egg, which contained his child, in his claws. blood dripped on the floor from where the egg had exited Rhiga's body. "Where should I put the egg?' Marcus cried. " We need to get you to a healer!"

Its a riddle' Margas replied. " we need to find the right flowers, by picking them.."

Rhiga was on the couch, gasping and moaning. She was in state to go anywhere. A healer would have to be found, and soon!

Meanwhile...

"We need to find the flowers with a certain smell... but which ones?!" Lucien shouted, exasperated. Kicking up the ground with his clawed feet in anger, his noticed a flower with a different scent than the others.

Try smelling them, and start picking those that smell different..' Margas said, moving forward. there were hundreds of flowers in this room. "pick enough of them and the portal should form."

Marcus dashed into the next room and grabbed a small towel He wrapped the egg gently in towel and set it on the table as gently as he could. Then he went into the next room.."I'm going to get a healer.. just.. try to stay calm.." Margas turned and ran out of the room and out of the house. Minna's castle had a healer on site like most noble houses, it paid well to have a healer around in case of trouble. he healer who served Tallon's and his family was named Thacklos.. he lived on the seconf floor of the castle, above where the main rooms lay..

Thacklos was a young healer who lived on Tallon's estate. Being a talented healer, he was quickly hired by Tallon in case of emergencies. Rhiga's situation totally qualified. The twenty-five year old Dracon had skills beyond those of anyone else his age in the whole city, and had manifested magical abilities at a young age. It was said that his mother was a Dragon who had polymorphed into a Dracon form when she met his father. She had left not long after his hatching and was never heard from again, so it was likely that his lineage was not fully Dracon.

He had just finished meditating, and had put his loincloth back on when he heard the news about Marcus. Despite his odd styles of dress and his murky lineage, the gray-skinned, green-eyed Dracon was not about to fail anyone who needed urgent help. He want down the stairs to Marcus.

"What's going on? Is someone's wife in trouble?" he asked.

Shes not my wife yet, but we are going to be married very shortly.. she just.. laid an egg" Marcus said as calmly as he could. 'She's in a lot of pain, and she was bleeding when I left her.. Please, you must come quickly.. I don't think she was supposed to lay the egg at this point..I'm kinda new to the parenting business so I don't really know what's normal' Marcus said motioning to the castle enterance. "We're not far from here, luckily.."

The two dracons wasted no time in getting to Rhiga. By now, she was turning pale and her expression was contorted into a mask of horrible agony. Thacklos ran over to her hand put his hands on her head. A light blue glow emanated from his hands, and withing a moment, the bleeding had stopped.

"There. I stabilized her. She's still weak, though."
