"Rhiga, do you take Marcus to be your lawfully wedded husband? To hold him and cherish him in sickness and in health, for better or for worse, and, forsaking all others, remain true to him as long as you both shall live?" Vespion asked. This would be the first time anyone in her family had been married, at least, the first female.

"I do. I do with all my heart!" She replied.

"If anyone has any reason why these two should not be joined together, speak now, or forever hold your peace."

The crowd was silent, as expected.

"Then, by the power vested in me by the gods, I now declare you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride. Congratulations."

marcus gave Rhiga and brief but passionate kiss, and turning lead her back to a seat in the front row, they would wait for the others to be married before leaving the temple together

Vespion repeated the oaths to Ilsa and Margas. As before, there was an acceptance; the "I do's" were exchanged, vows taken, and another couple was pronounced. The same thing happened with Lucien and Minna. Now, there were three more couples. A general cheer erupted from the audience. It was done at last. Now, the last celebration could begin before... well, they didn't know what would happen. An uncertain future was on the horizon for all of them.

Margas Ilsa and minna sat down next to Rhiga and marcus " Congratulations 'Ilsa said giving Rhiga and then marcus a hug. "Same to you" Marcus replied , it was beginning to sink in, that they were finally husband a wife and a thrill ran up and down his spine..

Ku'ux just clapped silently as everyone else cheered. Violet was indeed, one of the ones that was cheering along with everyone else "Hehe, isn't this awesome? The three of them getting married" she said with a smile to Ku'ux.

"Yeah, I suppose it is, how you would put it 'awesome' that they have been married" replied Ku'ux to Violet.

Tallon approached the new couples, paying extra special attention to his new son-in-law.

"Lucien, I greet you as a son of mine. You now have possession of the palace I let Minna use, and as soon as the paperwork is filed, you will have outright ownership of it. Furthermore, as a wedding present, I present to you..." he pulled out a piece of parchement. "... a large parcel of land, tools, cash, and when the time comes right for it, I will hire out some laborers, provide the seeds, and anything else that you need to start a plantation. I'll let you do the actual building, though, as I know how important it is to begin your own legacy. Consider this Minna's Dowry. Also, since the future is unknown to us, I shall present you with the gifts whenever this is over. If you need anything, you shall always have a place at my side. Same thing goes for you, Minna. I may no longer be the most important male in your life, but I am still your father. I will not let you be harmed. Lucien, treat her well. She's yours now. Always cherish her, produce fine children with her, and never let her or your offspring come to harm. I know that you shall acquire other wives in time, but given her associations with me, I shall ask that you keep Minna in the highest regard among them."

"I shall do all that and more. Thank you, Tallon." Lucien replied.

Minna emaraced her father tightly " i love you daddy" She said, as her voice caught in her throat as she began to feel the ful weight of being married.

Violet was still wondering if she should actually tell Vespion about what had happened just before, however, she didn't want to have to ruin anyone's mood, however, she did get up with a stretch, only glancing at her paws to make sure they weren't going to change some more.

Ku'ux on the other hand, leaned forward where he was and glanced up at Violet "So, are you sure you're fine?" he decided to ask her.
"Yeah, I'm fine, nothing's wrong with me" Violet replied back with a bit of a smile as well.
"As you wish then" replied Ku'ux as he stood up "However, I do suggest that you see one of the mages if anything is wrong with you, they seem to be capable of handling a few things"
"I said I was fine...." Violet muttered back a little bit.

The reception after the wedding was filled with food and laughter. And alcohol, lots of it. Wine, beer, ale, what have you. The tastes of upper and lower class were catered to in a rare inter-class party that all Dracons could enjoy, not just those with Tallon's tastes.

Sasha finally found Eternion, some distance away from the party. Hopping gingerly from each bare foot, the human girl asked him;

"Why aren't you at the wedding? Don't you want to see it? Are you okay?"

Violet grabbed something to eat herself, yet, seemed to keep more to herself at the moment, not really wanting to go near any mage incase they mention something about her change in fur colour, that is, until she had bumped into one of them by accident and only seemed to give off a smile of some sort, but that was it as she took a bite out of the piece of meat she had grabbed.

Ku'ux on the other hand, was having a drink of beer himself as he watched everyone else mingle.

Vespion went over to Violet and asked her about her condition. He wasn't fooled;

"Violet, I know that this is not really the best of times or places to ask, but I fear that I may not have another chance to ask you. What is going on with you, if you can tell me? I'd like to have it examined in the temple; we are only a few rooms away from those who can help you with your problem, whatever it is."

"But I'm fine, really!" Violet replied, doing what she could not to worry Vespion some more "It's nothing to worry about, I'm sure it'll go away by tomorrow, you know, like something bad or something like that" she couldn't think of a proper excuse as she gave him a rather quick little smile too.

"I cannot force you to comply with an examination, much as part of me would like to do. I respect your decision. However, I must warn you that if untreated, a curse can become more and more dangerous with time."

Violet hessiated, part of her wanted to believe him, but yet, another part of her didn't want to. She seemed to be hessitating quite a bit before the voice in her head was heard again 'Lies! They are all lies!'

That's when she grabbed her head again 'Don't fight it.....give in....'

"No! I wont give in!" Violet seemed to more or less yell back, looking at Vespion once more before she took off out of the temple before she fell to her hands and knees outside, breathing a bit heavily as her tail seemed to change black and grow a bit longer as well, along with a bit more fluffier, so to speak.

Vespion knew that something was wrong. He passed that information on to Adykon;

"So, the girl's got something wrong with her?"

"Yes, I don't know what it is."

"Great. Now we have yet another things to worry about" Adykon sighed. He knew that Dememoras would be acting soon. It was going to happen. There was no question that he would attack. None of them knew what they would face.

Ku'ux approached both Adykon and Vespion with a glass of bear in his hands "Is she alright? I mean, I asked her if she was alright before, she told me she was, but I can tell, there's something wrong with her....." he asked them in regards to Violet.

He wasn't drunk yet, it would take quite a few glasses to get him drunk and he could handle the glasses as well. One could tell he was still sober at the moment.

"Yeah, something's wrong with her. I don't think we can do anything about it right now" Vespion told Ku'ux. "She isn't cooperating with us." Vespion had no desire to see her suffer. Still, forcing her was the other option. What was he to do?

Ku'ux thought for a second "I would imagine that the best thing to do is to try and talk to her some more, get her to cooperate, if something is wrong with her, it's best not stay on the sidelines and watch it play out, best to strike when one can"

Violet on the other hand, yelled once more as she stood up, grabbing her tail to see what she could of it "No....not my tail...." she glanced back at the temple before she headed off down the hallway to her room.

Once in her room, she got out of her dress, noticing the blackness on her had changed her fur colour on her body now, the symbol still glowing as she grabbed her regular clothes and put them on, only to have them change colour as well, becoming black as well, not as black as her fur, but still black regardless

She looked into the mirror once more to see that her looks were now indeed, rather different than before, she was almost completely black "No....no....no....this....this isn't fair...."

Minna sippeed from a glass of wine enjoying the moment while she could. Ilsa sat cross from her absently starring into her glass. ' the joy before sorrow, the laughter before tears, that is what are experiencing.. " ilsa said solemly.. "This is a day i should be joyful, that was a day, frankly I should have experience already given that my sisters often married at 21 or so.."

Rhiga and Marcus danced on the floor of the temple, happy as they have never been before. This would quite possibly be their last chance to enjoy themselves before whatever was about to happen, so they took it.

Lucien, for his part, was less concerned. Sure, Dememoras was a great threat, but he could not see his city fall to some milennia-old threat from gods-knew where.
