"See anything yet?" Petrie was hoping Kit had had more luck than he at spotting Longtail's herd, even if they were flying over the same spot.

"No, not ye--" Kit paused halfway through saying this though, "Wait, yes I do, see something atleast..." she dove down closer for a look. She'd seen what looked to be a speck down on a cliff face...

Meanwhile, the search party of four continued their search. Everything seemed to be going fine, until Aurelia thought she heard a fastbiter pack from quite a distance away from the group.

"Uh, I hate to break it to y'all, but I think we've got company," blurted Aurelia.

"What?" Ducky gasped nervously as Renn held her in a protective fashion. "What is it, Aurelia?"

"Fastbiters," Aurelia replied as she looked in the direction she had heard them.

OCC: Is it clear who will play in this fastbiter herd? If not, maybe I could bring my character Brandor in. Just a suggestion though. And I also don¥t know if now would be a good moment to bring in a fight.

IC: Meanwhile, Ecco and Scarface were walking next to Ichy and the others in the group. "That was good, Scarface said". "Back over there were some left dead body¥s I could eat.
"Please!", Ecco replied. " "Spare me from elaborations", he said, but chuckled a bit.

"Are they anywhere close?" asked Ducky.

"Well," said Aurelia as she sniffed the air. "It seems they're goin' the other way and not towards us. Spike, would ya mind lendin' a sniffer?"

"Sure," replied Spike before he sniffed the air. "Yep, your judgement is correct. They're heading a different direction."

"Phew! Man, I thought we were being hunted," Renn sighed with relief before he let Ducky go.

"That is good, yep yep yep. We do not need any more problems than we already have to deal with, nope nope nope," agreed Ducky.

Unfortunately, Littlefoot had been quite for the majority of the time. Everybody was learning that their families were dead, so now he was trying to cope with the inevitable truth. Grandma......... Grandpa........... I'm so sorry I couldn't help you.

Meanwhile, Zaine couldn't help but feel some relief. "I guess I'm lucky I didn't have any family here. Then again, they are already dead so it doesn't matter." He looked over at Littlefoot. "I'm so sorry about your folks."

"It's ok," Littlefoot replied. "They're with my mother, so I'm sure they'll be glad to see each other again."

Zaine nodded. "Yeah, I guess you're right. I guess maybe I'll see my family when I die." He then looked up ahead. "We're falling behind. We need to catch up with the others. Let's go."

Littlefoot nodded, and the two longnecks hurried to the group of other survivors.

Ducky could not help but notice how quiet Littlefoot had been. She then walked over to him.

Littlefoot looked at Ducky. "I guess I just can't completely get over the possibility that Grandma and Grandpa are gone. If nobody else is finding any survivors, then the chances of me finding them are slim to none. I thought I would have taken their deaths much harder, but surprisingly I'm not."

Zaine couldn't help but look in horror as the world around him was destroyed. "This can't be real. This has to be a dream. This was our home, and now its gone. Please tell me I'm dreaming."

From behind came Shorty, who listened to the conversation the group around Littlefoot had. "Don¥t worry to much mate. I am sure your grandparents did it anyhow. They are smart. But...", Shorty stopped for a moment as he began to shiver, "I wonder what with Bron is. I really hope he is fine", Shorty said as he watched over the destroyed ruins of the valley which was once their home.

Littlefoot smiled a little. "Thanks Ducky. I'm glad I still have you guys." Then he looked at Shorty. "I certainly hope Dad made it out ok. Then again, if not he'll see my mom for the first time in a while I guess."

Meanwhile Zaine couldn't stop thinking about Longtail. He had lost track of him some time ago and he wasn't sure if he was with them or just being really quite. It was only natural for him to worry about Longtail so much. They had been through a lot in their life, but nothing compared to this. "I sure hope Longtail is ok. I'm worried about him."

Kit landed on the cliff face she'd thought she'd seen a glimpse of a tail on and peered nearer into a crack in some rocks, "H-hello?" she called in, trying to see if she'd found someone or if it had just been a leaf or her imagination.

Petrie landed a bit behind her.

Pearl was beginning to worry about Longtail, as he hadn't come out from inside the tree of Life yet. She started to step forward and called out his name.
"Longtail? Are you okay?" When no answer came from inside the tree she stepped closer and reached out to touch the tree and was startled when she noticed the tree felt....cold, as if it were covered in white ground sparkles.

Cyrix stepped close to Pearl and said aloud, "I'm sure Longtail is fine. This tree is special to him...to lose it...is something he thought would most likely never happen. Just give him some time.

Ruby continued to look around hoping she could find and help someone...when she noticed indeed someone was walking around...but that someone looked familiar. She called out the first name that came to her mind.
"Zaine...is that you?!"

As it turned out inside the cave Kit, Petrie and Ichy were searching another flyer was actually asleep, and indeed had slept through the entire incident in the valley! He gave a light snore which echoed off the walls of the small cave and continued to sleep.

Kit sighed and shook her head, answering Ichy, "I don't think...". She paused at the snore that seemed to shake everything though.

"Oh no, another earthshake is all we need!" Petrie said.

"I--I don't think..." Kit peered into the cave once more once the shaking was done.

"Hey! I do see someone!" Kit remembered the other members of the herd they were suppose to be looking for and stepped further in.

As she got to where the light would allow, she looked to the flyer and then tapped him, "Um...excuse me, are you...ok?" she asked, really hoping he was just asleep.

Just then something broke Zaine from whatever trance he was in. He heard a voice, a familiar one. "Ruby?" He looked around but couldn't see where the voice was coming from. "Guys I think I hear Ruby. She's around here somewhere!"

Littlefoot looked towards Zaine. "You're right! I hear her too! We have to find her." He then called out her name. "Ruby! Where are you?"

Ruby turned her head as she was now sure she could hear Littlefoot calling out to her.
"Littlefoot? I'm over here! You should follow my voice so I can follow yours!" she said aloud as she tried to find her friends when a sound from the sky caught her attention. She looked up and frowned and could see something falling out of the sky...and it looked like...
"A flying rock!!!" She screamed as she dove for cover.

Longtail finally getting tired of standing around, he stepped out of the center of the Tree of Life, but looked up when he thought he heard thunder and instead could see something that made his eyes widen and he cried, "EVERYBODY MOVE!" as he jumped out of the way and the remainder of the Tree of Life exploded from a flying rock impact.

Cyrix grabbed Pearl and held her close to make sure she wasn't hurt by any of the now flying wood from the tree.

Azure squealed in surprise and covered her face from the smoke and debris. "Is...is everyone alright?" she asked as soon as she was sure the she could speak clearly without coughing.

The flyer blinked for a moment and then answered.
"Sure I'm okay...I mean I am sleeping here...or was trying to. Now what exactly is so important that you had to wake me up?"

Twiz darted over to shield Azure as the rocks flew down, grabbing up Flip on the way. Just hearing her ask if everyone was ok showed how ok she was and he was grateful. Nevertheless he sighed in relief, "You ok? The both of you?" he glanced to little Flip who nodded.

"Ugh! Yeah, I'm fine," replied Aurelia as she and Spike slowly got up and shook off dust and fragmented rocks. They both had shielded Renn and Ducky from the flying rock.

"Are y'all okay?" she asked the young couple.

"We are fine, yep yep yep. Thank you," replied Ducky as Renn took hold of her right hand.

"Thanks, guys," he added.

"No problemo," said Spike.
