Ichy flew with the rest of the group, as they arrived at the hole in the wall.

Rory was visibly nervous about the journey ahead, but Myra comforted him. "We'll survive, we just have to."

Greg was walking with Chomper and Rita. Rita couldn't help but have a bad feeling about Sweetie for some reason.

Kit was wondering about the same thing as Pearl as she looked over to where Renn, Ducky and Aurelia were. Twiz arriving to reassure his son he was ok (and said hatchling seeming very glad of it!) distracted her though.

She smiled at her cousin, "A distraction?" her voice said it all of the mainly 'that wasn't smart' to the smaller bit of 'but good going'. Twiz just smiled

"And off Pearl's question I'll go check" Petrie said, having heard it. He flapped over.

"Hey" he said with a hesitant smile, "it looks like we're gonna start moving now, you guys...ok and up to it?" he asked, looking last of all to Ducky since she was the most injured.

Zaine nodded and smiled a little. "I'm sorry Longtail. The way you acted seemed like your evil side was coming out again. I just don't want to see you lose yourself again that's all. Just promise me you'll be careful?" Then Zaine got a whiff of what Longtail was talking about and laughed a little. "Although I will say you do need a bath as well. You smell like rotting sharptooth."

Littlefoot had led the others through the wall and noticed Longtail and Zaine were safe. "Good you two are ok. We're going to keep moving to find our safe place. We should leave now in case those fast biters have any friends who come along."

Zaine nodded. "Sounds like a plan to me."

Spike returned to his sister as Petrie spoke to them.

"It is best we get moving. I'm ready when everyone else is," said Spike. Renn looked at Ducky.

"Are you well enough to leave now, sweetie?" he asked.

"Oh, yes I am, yep yep yep. The sooner we get out of here, the better," Ducky replied as she stood up.

"Okay, then. Ready, Aurelia?" Renn asked as he looked up at the threehorn.

"Yup," she replied.

"Alright, then. Let's catch up to the others," Spike said as he took the lead.

Sweetie flapped over to Zaine and gave him another gentle lick on the cheek as she said slyly "Thanks for saving me big guy...I don't know what would've happened if you hadn't been there." She then noticed Longtail standing on Zaines back and landed in front of Longtail. She scowled for a moment before reaching over and smacking Longtail in the face. She then smirked and said, "Ya know fool, that blood is a good look and smell for you."

Longtail reeled back from the hit Sweetie had delivered to his face, but then for several minutes, his body began to shake as if he were cold or afraid, and he began to see images flash before his eyes and they were...different...almost like a sleepstory that he'd forgotten in his childhood. After a few more minutes of staying still Longtail turned his head to face Sweetie and sighed aloud and shed a single tear as he felt that his past was going to be brought back to the surface.

Hunter was behind Dil as the two waited and watched to make sure everyone in the valley made it out through the hole. "I still think this whole thing is horrible. I'm kinda surprised so many of us lived through it all."

Dil sighed aloud.
"Yeah I tend to agree. I'm just glad we have our families to look after. Like my son Greg." she said with a small smile.

Pearl stood alongside Kit and her hatchlings with a smile on her face.
"This may be the worst thing to happen to us since the great earthshake, but we're together...and that's all that matters." she said with a giggle.

Cyrix stepped through the hole and looked around for a moment.
"This...is worse than I imagined...even before this disaster the Mysterious Beyond had life to it, even if you couldn't see it...but now, it's just a wasteland." He looked up to Littlefoot and asked, "Are you sure you remember where you're going?"
He didn't mean to doubt the longneck, but sometimes it was best to have a backup plan in case things didn't work the first time.

Kit nodded along with Pearl's statement, "and...even with everything else I always thought that was the worst ever...until now...but still" she smiled, "like you said, we have each other and that'll probably get us through this".

It was an odd feeling though, heading out to...something, but not a defined direction.

"Alright you little adventurer, you stick close" Twiz instructed his son, knowing they wouldn't need wandering young on this trek. Flip nodded obediently with a smile.

Littlefoot nodded. "I know where to go. I couldn't forget this place even if I wanted to. It's a good distance away from the Great Valley and the Mysterious Beyond, so it should be safe from the intruding fast biters." He looked down the path ahead as they continued to walk and sighed. "Of course, the challenge will be to find food and water along the way." He then sighed and shook his head. I can't be thinking things like this. The others are looking to me to be a strong leader, and a strong leader doesn't second guess himself. We have to find this place. We just have to. He then looked over at Ducky, Petrie, and Spike who were trailing behind him. Ducky especially seemed depressed with the situation so he tried to think of something to cheer them up. "Dpn't worry you guys. We've been in tougher spots before and we've always gotten through. The moment we find this place all our worries will be gone and we will have a home."

Zaine felt that soothing lick again from Sweetie, and then he seemed even more confused. Why does Longtail hate her so much? She seems really nice. Then again, why does she seem so attracted towards me?. Without looking back he nodded. "Hey we are a herd now. Dinosaurs in a herd look after each other no matter what. I'm not going to let anything happen to you or Longtail." Then he heard the comment Sweetie made towards Longtail and glared at her. "Although if you want to continue riding on my back then I suggest you start being nicer to Longtail. I don't know what happened between the two of you, but Longtail is one of the best flyers I know." Then he saw how hurt Longtail looked, and it got him worried. "Longtail? Are you ok?"

Renn also happened to notice Ducky was feeling depressed.

"It'll be okay, dear. We'll pull through this," he reassured Ducky as he gently took her left hand into his right hand. Ducky smiled at him. Meanwhile, Aurelia followed behind the couple while keeping a watchful eye on them.

Longtail looked up at Zaine and replied, "I...think I'm starting to...remember something, that...that I don't remember..."

Sweetie scoffed at Longtail's statement as she said, "That makes no sense..." She was going to continue on her statement but thought better of it since she also heard what Zaine had said about her riding on his back.

Cyrix stepped up to Littlefoot and placed a hand on the longnecks leg.
"Your grandparents knew you'd be the right kind of leader when the time came. I know as well, you'll make them, and the rest of us here proud Littlefoot. Just trust your instincts and follow your heart."

Pearl wanted to watch after her hatchlings as well, but knew that these two wanted nothing more than to fly through the sky and she sighed deeply as she spoke to Kit. "These two of mine really want to spread their wings...just like their father. Would you and Flip like to join us?"

Kit noticed Pearl's point and nodded with a smile, "Sure, hey Twiz don't worry about Flip I'll watch him, like I always do as the almost built in babysitter of the family" she laughed.

Twiz smiled, "Thanks".

"Alright Flip, go ahead, I'll keep an eye on ya" Kit told the little one. Glad to be given a little bit more flying range, Flip grinned and flapped up.

"Yeah guys, we'll be fine" Petrie tried to help reassure off what Littlefoot had said, and tried to believe it himself as they headed off.

Littlefoot smiled a little and nodded towards Cyrix. "Thank you Cyrix. I always knew the day would come when I would have to lead the rest of the herd. I just never expected it to happen so soon. I just hope we can get everybody across without anymore surprises like those fast biters back there."

Zaine noticed Longtail was troubled by something but he couldn't tell what. "Is it something you want to talk about? You know I'm here for you if you need anything."

Pearl smiled as she and her hatchlings joined Kit and Flip in the sky.
"Even with all the things going on, flying through the sky still helps me relax." commented Pearl with a sigh.

Longtail looked up at Zaine and replied, "I...no. I'm fine." he then closed his eyes and hoped Zaine wouldn't press the issue.

Sweetie glared at Longtail for a moment before huffing and flapped her wings and glided next to Zaines face as she said, "Ya know...i may not like him, but if Longtail keeps secrets from you...I wouldn't trust him."

Cyrix nodded in agreement to Littlefoots statement.
"A surprise now would be most unexpected and annoying."

Zaine nodded. "Ok Longtail. Get some rest, you look pretty beat. I'll keep an eye out for you." He turned back and noticed Sweetie gliding next to him. When she voiced her concern for Longtail's secrets, Zaine glanced back at him and then back to Sweetie. "It seems like a sensitive subject," he whispered, trying not to wake Longtail up. "I'd rather not force him to relive the horrors of his past. I know I wouldn't want to relive the terrible events of my past." He then sighed. "I trust Longtail with my life. He and I have been through so much together and I have never been given reason not to trust him." He glanced back at Longtail and then back at Sweetie.

"I just don't want anything to happen to him. When I crossed the wall and found him over so many dead sharpteeth, he didn't look like himself. Something was different about him. He seemed...... demonic if anything. It's not the first time I've seen such a side to him either. I've seen that dark side of him numerous times. I just don't want him to become consumed by his rage again."

Littlefoot looked back at the group as they walked. Everyone was still in tact, if not in their own little groups. The destruction of the Great Valley certainly had left a toll on all of them, and their fight with the fast biters didn't really help either. He then observed his surroundings. Everything seemed dead. Even though they were in the Mysterious Beyond, this was even worse. It was like the world had died but was not able to rest in peace, like it's own twisted hell of some sort. Littlefoot had never seen anything like it. "It's too quite here. All the life has been sucked out of the world."

Kit nodded, "Yeah...atleast now we're able to do even that" she recalled the heavy thick smoke, yet while the sky was not blue like it should have been, it was clear enough for now.

She looked down at the group as they moved, and shook her head, "We truly must be blessed or protected by something" she commented just in as many of them that had survived surviving what they did, "and this time I'm talking about more than Longtail himself" she grinned.

Longtail slept, but was beginning to dream. And it wasn't good....

It was dark...darker than dark, and it felt like he was walking through blood...and lots of it. 'I...I'm afraid...but...I-I don't know why!' As he looked around he could hear the sound of a heartbeat and it was getting slower, and the slower it became the harder it was for him to breath. W-whats...h-happening?!' Finally the heartbeat stopped altogether and Longtail's body seized up and wouldn't move.

"You insolent child....even now, you are too WEAK to imbrace your own inner strength....and when the time comes YOU will have to choose, again to either use your strength, or die with the rest of your world!"

Longtail turned over on Zaines back and fell off down onto the ground and landed with an loud oof.

Sweetie giggled as she saw Longtail fall to the floor. She then turned around and flew down to try and help him get up. "I still don't like you at all, but are you alright?" She asked plainly.

Cyrix continued to walk in silence.

Pearl smiled at Kits comment.
"YEah I know what you mean, and Logntail would probably start talking about the Gurdians and their role in our fate." She then asked, "Did I ever tell you the story of the Week of Tears?"

Zaine noticed Longtail roll off his back and stopped to help him up. "You certainly have a habit of falling out of things Longtail. If it isn't a tree it's off my back." He laughed a little.

Littlefoot approached Chomper as they walked. "Chomper is there any chance your parents are still alive? If they are and we run into them maybe we can ask them to help us out. I mean they did promise we would be safe with them if we ever needed them.
