I'll admit, I'm a person who doesn't mind sequels and often enjoys them. See the topic title for the question.

Some sequels I like more than their originals:

1. Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers
2. Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers
3. The Lion King II: Simba's Pride (Yes, I prefer it a tad slightly over the original.)
4. Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan (Ironically, most other Friday the 13th fans regard this one as one of the worst, but for some reason I love it.)
5. National Treasure: Book of Secrets
6. Spider-Man 2
7. Scream 2
8. Shock Treatment

I also like all of the Saw sequels more than the original...can't explain why though.

I like Elm Streets 3-5 more than the original as well.

I rarely enjoy sequels more than the originals, but there are a few.

1. Lethal Weapon 2
2. All Dogs Go to Heaven 2 (mostly because Charlie Sheen does a better job as the leading character than whoever the original voice was. He left no impression on me whatsoever.)
3. Jurassic Park 3, because it was more like the original books than either of the previous two films.
4. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (Connery. Sean Connery)
5. Austin Powers 2

Guinea Pig: Mermaid in the Manhole is better than Guinea Pig 1...
Wishmaster 2 is better than Wishmaster 1...
Land Before Time X is better than LBT1...
Final Destination 2 & 3 are better than Final Destination 1...

It is hard for a sequel to outmatch the original. There are rare cases, imo.

The Dark Knight (I'm surprised no one has said this one yet. XD Way better than Batman Begins)

The Rescuers Down Under (The original was kinda boring)

Shrek 2 (Really outdid itself)

Uh, not much else I can think of. Man, I gotta watch more movies.

In my opinion, none of the LBT sequels will ever outmatch the original. It had so much passion into it that seems to be kind of lacking in the sequels.

Any case here are my pics:

Terminator II - Such a twist to have the terminator as the hero and it worked beautifully!

Dark Knight - Batman Begins kind of dragged in the beginning, Dark Knight was perfect!

Saw II, III, VI - Saw IV and V were good don't get me wrong, but they weren't better than the original.

Transformers II - I might be the only person who liked this movie at all. I was so surprised the critics gave it bad reviews.

Lord of the Rings Two Towers - probably my favorite out of the entire trilogy.

Those are the only ones I can think of at the moment.
