What is your stance on the way prisons handle their inmates? Punishment or Rehabilitation?

rugrats came out when i was older and i didnt watch much of it.
For prisons i view it as dependent on what was the crime, and hoe severe it was. murder, rape , pedophiles etc, you punish them because those types cannot be reformed. for others you rehabilitate as much as possible.

reading. I have a near photographic memory for dates and lists. for instance i can name all the US presidents, in order, in less than 2 minutes.
