The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Terry, one of Petrie's shy sisters asked him timidly, "Do-do you think mom will be okay?"

One of the brothers teased her. "Of course she's okay scaredy-egg! Mom isn't scared of nothing" He said as he puffed out his chest, which in some of the siblings agreeing and others rolling their eyes.

Some siblings went to sleep while others, including Terry and three brother flyers. Terry watched as the three brothers dragged Petrie to the nest and then turned the other way to sleep themselves.

"G'night guys!" One of the brothers shouted. There was an echo of good nights and then almost automatic snoring.

Terry went next to Petrie and stayed up, hoping and waiting that her mother would be okay. She was very happy Petrie was okay, but she worried for the others, especially her mother.
----------------
Red Claw could not sleep at all. He kept roaring and agony and tossing and turning his head, very much raged and generally in an unpleasant demeanor over the the brutal loss he had with getting Amy. He still was plotting though and will do anything to get her, even if it meant killing himself.

He bashed his head against trees, causing other animals to scurry for cover of this raged over a thousand pound creature that was having an emotional breakdown.
-------------
Amy was blindly in rage, she couldn't think, so she took off, giving a nasty shove and movement of the dinosaur that so kindly brought her home and taking off.

She ran on all fours running wild and finally threw herself onto a green field where she fell face first. She tore the grass pieces off and make huffing and puffing sounds as she did so. She wanted so madly to hurt something or slice something it make her crazy.  She suddenly saw a tree and decided to use it to slash and take all her anger out on it.

However, it was barely in a few minutes that she just could not slice the poor tree anymore and leaving the tree in its sliced condition, laid on her back in the soft grass as the water softly dripped on her already tear stained face.
---------------
Rebecca jumped for a bit, now wondering why she put up with this mission. However, she realized that this was for Petrie and the others to be safe, and for Chomper to be safe as well.

She nudged the fastbiter gently and softly spoke, "Excuse me...Claw is it? We must move on."
---------
Tria sighed, feeling as though she should say something else, so she responded, "Alright...well I'm all ears if you ever wanted to talk." She stated before she rested her head and tried to sleep as well.

At midnight, many of the dinosaurs of the valley were heading off to sleep as the rain began to soften and it became less cold and more tropic. Many were scarred, beaten, and exhausted from their work of that night. An igonadon group settled themselves with Pterano hanging limp on the back. He was exhausted of what happened and the beating he got from Red Claw.

Iggy settled himself next to his family and said to Pterano, "You can sleep with us if you'd like. There is always room for the short neck family." He smiled, though a neighboring short neck groaned and snarled at the sight of Pterano, seeming to counter Iggy's statement.

Pterano gave a weak smile and stated, "Thank you...but I must see if my fam-" he slipped from where he was and gave an "oof!" and he felt his rib cage in complete pain. He tenderly felt it with his hand and sighed.

Iggy then responded with a gentle smile, "Maybe you should stay here for awhile."

Pterano nodded slowly and reluctantly. While he knew Iggy was right, he was worried about his family, Petrie, Rebecca, and the others.

However, his weakness took a hold of him and decided to rest on Iggy's side, curled up and set himself to sleep. Iggy with the rest of his family slept too.

Once the other dinosaurs had been put onto the area with a slow flowing river nearby and some bushes and trees not to far off, and, of course, grass they could eat, Grandpa Longneck, Mim and Flapper lay down and went to sleep.

----

Petrie looked at Terry, "You want someone stay up with you?" He asked her.  "It easier to no wait alone."

Claw was slowly waking up, feeling his head hurt, his legs hurt, his tail hurt, well... everything. He opened his eyes to see Petrie's Mom leaning and saying something to him. It took him a few seconds to understand her words.

"Move on? I'll try to get up," he said, getting on his legs with some effort "Thank you for coming for me, Mrs. Flyer." Then he remembered about the fight.

"What happened when I was lying here? Did we win the battle?! Is Pangea and evrybody else safe?" he asked with concern.

Terry stared at Petrie with her large, lanquid eyes and stated quietly, "N-no it's okay, you go to sleep, y-you had a long day." She smiled in hopes to reassure her brother.
--------------
Rebecca flew to Claw's face level and explained with kind eyes in hopes to calm the fastbiter, "Everyone is safe, including Pangaea. I don't think those sharpteeth will be coming back for a bit."

She flew in midair and slowed her pace so Claw could keep up with her.

"Whew! That's a relief," Claw said, before following Mrs. Flyer. It wasn't easy for him, as he needed to climb and his state was making this endeavour only more difficult. However, Claw was able to eventually get to the top ledge of the canyon. He was greeted there by Chomper.

"Claw! I knew you're still alive!" purple sharptooth said happily. Claw smiled.

"Yes, but it was close... Thank you both for coming back for me. I doubt I would be able to find my way back to the Valley in this state..." fastbiter said.

"Oh, that's nothing," Chomper said modestly "I'm sure everybody would do the same in our position."

"Maybe it best if I stay up.  We can talk quietly, time pass faster." Petrie said as he got up and went over to sit down next to Terry.

Rebecca (Ms. Flyer) nodded, "Indeed so. Now, let's head on home."

She flew at a pace where both sharpteeth could catch up, and decided to go at a pace that was comfortable for Claw. As she flew, she thought of her children and how they were doing.

They should not worry about these things, I hope they're asleep.
-----------
Terry smiled and stammered, "Oh-okay Petrie." She sat staring at the moon and the soft sky water gently cascading down just like snow. She hoped that her mother would be able to head back home with the bright circle this large and full.

Longtail stood still, facing his uncle Cyrix and Rick still feeling incredibly frustrated about what had happened even after returning to the valley. Despite the fact that the trio had stayed in the mountainous region of the Great Valley wall, Longtail knew tonight he wouldn't be getting any sleep, and as it was he was just now listening to a lecture by his uncle about the importance of keeping a level head in a fight.
"Uncle Cyrix that's great and all, but you seemed to miss the point where I'm supposed to care!" he stated loudly.

Rick who had been looking on passively in his human form was now shocked at the show of disrespect Longtail had just shown. He was planning on speaking up but thought better of it, figuring Cyrix would know how to handle this kind of thing.

Cyrix simply sighed. He knew Longtail's frustration wasn't aimed at him, but the flyer would need to vent for several more hours and a simple walk along the edge of the valley wouldn't fix it. He then turned to Rick and asked "Would you mind helping me get Longtail to relax?"

Rick quickly nodded his head knowing exactly what Cyrix meant. He then took up a fighting stance, and replied, "Your move half-breed."

Longtail grinned almost too happily as he raised his claws and charged at his two caretakers starting a sparring match that would last into the morning hours.

Grandma Longneck smiled as she found her mate. She made sure that as she laid down she wouldn't disturb him or Littlefoot. She was simply glad that despite all that had happened her family was still here and safe.

Spike for his part continued to sleep undisturbed, knowing that not even a midnight snack would be enough to wake him tonight.

"Mom be ok." Petrie said softly, so as not to wake up the others.  "She be back soon.  Me bet before bright circle rises.  It nice and bright tonight." He said looking at the night circle then to his sister.

As the rain gently fell to the barren Earth, everyone in the valley was settling in for a rest from the battle that took place. Wiped out, drained of energy, filled with pain, anger, mistrust, and so many other feelings, they had to give themselves rest until they could face the day. Questions hung over the other dinosaur's heads. Was it worth it having others die for the sake of rescuing one other dinosaur they hardly knew and would they trust these newcomers after what happened in the battle?

The predators of outside now questioned the power of Red Claw. They might have gotten their food true, but was it any different then receiving food as they usually did? While this was more of a planned out raid, nothing else seemed to be gained other than food, which was clearly not the intention that Red Claw had. Lives were lost, for the sake of revenge.

However, these challenges would only be the beginning, for new enemies will unite with old enemies in order to accomplish their bloodthirsty goals. On the other hand, new friends will arrive in the valley, which will strengthen the valley residents as well as the outside predators. These friends would also be human beings that joined the GOF forums and they would have their own adventures awaiting for them, in the Land Before Time.

“That’s strange; nobody’s on…” Sparky muttered to herself as she went onto the Gang of Five website. It was very late and she was expecting someone like Pangaea or maybe Rat_lady7 to be on, at least. But there was no one but her. Petting her two ratties, each perched on her shoulders, she took the inactivity as a sign that it was time to head for bed. She closed her laptop and went to the rat cage, giving her babies a sweet peck on the head before putting them in.

“Night, Caramel. Night, Domino.” Returning to her bed, she put her computer on the floor and laid down to sleep, listening to Cradle of Filth on her iPod before dozing off. Her sleep was so uncharacteristically deep that she didn’t notice the glow and slight tremor vibrating through her room….

--

Sunlight flooded through the close lids of her eyes and she winced with a groan. Morning already? Felt like hardly any time has passed. And who opened the blinds?! She hated when her window was open and allowing sunlight into her room. Oh well, time to wake up. Need……iPod…. she thought, hand feeling the area around her for her musical device. Hmmm, her bed didn’t feel like her bed. Her sleepy mind failed to comprehend this fully and she yawned, habitually giving her greetings to her rats.

“Morning, my little bludgers…” she muttered before opening her eyes to look her pets’ direction. That’s when she finally woke up fully and it wasn’t with the help of loud rock music for once. Her room did not look like her room at all. There was vegetation everywhere and her bed was now the hard ground…And where were her ratties?!

Alright, what kinda prank is this?! She sat up a bit, feeling very different indeed before looking down at herself. Startled at what she saw, she jerked up, stepped on something that shot a sudden pain through her body, let out a habitual “Eep!!”, and fell over on her back.

“Okay, that was stupid, even for me…” she admitted to herself, calming down enough to be a bit irritated at her fallen position. “Who put a log behind me?!” Lifting her head, she looked down her body at what she stepped on. Staring at her aching tail with wide eyes, she muttered to herself once more. “That’s definitely not a log.”

Alright, so she was a dinosaur. That’s so not weird. What kind of dinosaur was she? Her body seemed a bit theropod in nature, but what of the long neck? She doubted she was an ornithomimid. She had a slow moment with her dino knowledge until she saw her hands. Each held three very large and nasty looking claws. Lifting one hand and closely examining the claws, she couldn’t help but think that she can totally pwn someone with these. Okie-dokie, judging from what I know of dinos, I’d say I am a Therizinosaurus…Well, at least I’m one of my favorites! Perking up considerably from that fact, she looked about, trying to figure out where she was. It didn’t take her long to recognize the beautiful place filled with familiar-styled dinosaurs living in peace.

The Great Valley? she thought in confusion. Yup, she knew from that instant that she was in the LBT world. Ah, this just keeps getting better and better and that was not to be taken sarcastically for once! Standing up, she tried to get used to her new size and shape and to the presence of a tail, which she was now reluctant to step on, lest she repeats herself. Letting out a small 'Squee!' of excitement, she began wandering aimlessly as she always does when lost. She hoped someone would help tell her what’s going on and what she should do next. She couldn’t bring herself to approach the dinosaurian strangers around her and hoped one of them would notice her lost wandering and make the initial approach themselves.

Hope looked at the computer screen. She had just logged onto the Gang of Five forum. Finally, the loading was fully complete. She started to scroll down. Nothing... She thought. Soon, she was at the bottem of the page.
"Strange...no one's on. Not even any guests. Usually there's at least another person on." She sighed in dissapointment. She was hoping for someone to be on, like FlipperBoidSkua, Rat_lady7, or Pangaea. But it looked as if none of them were coming anytime soon.

She looked at her clock. "Yawn I think I'm going to go to bed now. It's getting really late." She then closed the window, shut down the computer, turned off the light, and ran upstairs to her room. She then got ready for bed, like she alway's did, and turned out the light, and let herself relax. "Hopefully someone will be on tomorrow." She thought before drifting into sleep...

~~~~
The next morning, she felt something poking her in the mouth. "Ugh..." She groaned as she liftes her head up. Hmm...that's weird. She felt...taller for some reason. She looked back down to her neck. It was definetely longer. Too long. She tried to sit up, only to be swept off her feet by something bulky. "Okay, who the heck put that..." She looked at whatever tripped her. To her suprise, it was a large tail. She felt herself go pale. She looked at her hands, only to find two paws with blunt white nails. She looked behind her, hind legs. "Okay, I must be dreaming." To try to prove her theory, she lifted one of her back legs and slammed it down on her tail. Only to be greeted by a world of pain. "YEOWWW!!!!!!" She shrieked. She brought her tail up to her paws and rubbed it, trying to chase the pain away.
"Nope, definetely not a dream." She released her tail and looked around, she saw sand all around her. Kind of...sandy, She thought She looked at herself once again. Hmmm...to my knowledge, I look like an Apatasaurus. Well, this is...strange to say the least. Oh well, might as well look around. She then lifted one paw in front of the other, but tripped. "Oww..." She then got up and stood there for a few seconds. "I'm going to have to get used to this." She muttered, before walking, rather unsteadily, forward.
Daniel sat there closing some old tabs he hadn't opened in a while now. He was getting tired and got to a tab which had The Gang Of Five website on it. "Haven't been on here for a while" he said and began to cycle through the most recent posts. As he did see he began to fall asleep, stopping on a post about entering the actual Land Before Time universe before finally falling asleep.
****************
Daniel yawned as he woke up, first thing he did was roll to the side like always but this time rather then rolling onto more bed he fell right off and landed on something. "Ow, fell off the bed again" he said opening his eyes but rather than seeing walls he saw dead trees and open land. "What the. Where? How?" he said trying to gain his bearings then the 'ground' shook as he heard a growl.
"I'd really like it if you got off my nose" a voice said and then whatever Daniel was on tilted causing him to fall to the ground. He looked up and froze when he saw a black Giganotosaurus looking down at him.
"Your a dinosaur, a-and your talking" he said with wide eyes.
"And? So are you" the Giganotosaurus said. Daniel looked at his hand only to see claws and wings when he looked at his arms. He felt his face and felt a beak with pointed teeth.
"Man, haven't had one of my Land Before Time dreams in a while" he said as he sat on the ground and just shook his head.
Cera felt herself wake up when the bright circle rose above the mountains.  She was surprised, because in all honesty, she felt like she had not slept at all.  The events from the day before worried her too much, and she was worried about her friends.  Cera wanted to get up, but felt so sleepy she decided to try to get some more sleep instead.  Tricia, meanwhile, was oblivious to Cera's worries as she slept soundly next to her sister.
--------------------
Around the same time, Anna slowly stirred awake from her sleep.  She felt terribly hungry, and remembered she had not eaten since the late afternoon before.  She decided to carefully sneak away so she wouldn't disturb Ducky, who appeared to be sleeping soundly.  Besides, she did need some quiet time to herself.
Zaine yawned as he woke up from his sleep story. "Morning already? Feels like I didn't get any sleep at all. Then again, last night was a busy night." He looked around and noticed that Grandma and Grandpa Longneck were still sleeping peacefully. He smiled as it reminded him of his parents when they would sleep as peacefully. Unfortunately, out of the corner of his eye, Zaine noticed Littlefoot was not so peaceful. He was stirring in his sleep, and he began to mumble random words. "Littlefoot. Littlefoot, wake up." Zaine lightly patted Littlefoot's back with his paw until the longneck woke up. "You okay?" Zaine asked with concern. "You were shaking around a little there."
"Yeah, I'm fine," Littlefoot nodded. "I just had a bad sleep story about Rob. The grown ups banished him from the Great Valley and he was forced to leave." On this note, Littlefoot looked around and noticed that Rob wasn't at the nest with them. "Speaking of which, where is he?"
"I don't know," Zaine shook his head. "He never came back to the nest last night."
"What!?" Littlefoot yelled. "Oh no. What if he really was banished? What if he's gone forever?" The more Littlefoot thought about it, the more frightened he became. "We have to go and find him!"
"Calm down," Zaine replied. "The grown ups didn't banish him."
"How do you know?" Littlefoot asked.
"Because I'm standing behind you." Both longnecks turned and found Rob standing with a concerned look on his face. Littlefoot hopped out of the nest and ran towards him.
"Rob! You're here!" Littlefoot was too excited to notice that he might wake up his grandparents, so Rob placed a hand over the longneck's mouth, making sure that his claws didn't cut him.
"Yes, I'm here, but don't wake up the entire Great Valley."
"He's just happy you weren't banished," Zaine explained. "Littlefoot just had a bad sleep story."
"Well, it was only a dream," Rob assured, "so don't think about it too much."
"But why didn't you come back to the nest?" Littlefoot asked.
"Well," Rob started but then hesitated. "I just needed some time to myself."
"Are the grown ups still giving you dirty looks?" Zaine asked.
"Sadly, yes," Rob nodded. "I don't think they would have liked me staying with you guys, what with me now being a fast biter."
"Well I think it's ridiculous," Littlefoot grumbled. "You're not dangerous, no matter what the grown ups say."
"That may be," Zaine interjected, "but it's going to be hard convincing everybody that. We'll find a way though."
"I hope so," Rob commented. "I don't really want my stay in the valley to be over just yet.:
Claw slowly woke up, yawning quietly. He stood up on his feet and stretched his body to get rid off his somnolence. He felt bruises he had gotten from yesterday fall and he also had that caused-by-eating-poisonous-fruit headache, but other than that he was a picture of health. He looked around. It's seemed that he was the first one to awake. Claw decided to wait with waking others and instead he left the cave and headed for the stream. It was time for some breakfast and though he no longer had a harpoon to catch fish, he still could do that in a way Chomper had taught him...
The GOF member known as James was sitting in front of his computer at his college library posting on the GOF forum.
He got up to head upstairs and get a book. As he entered the stairwell, the stairs suddenly vanished and he plunged into an abyss of white light.
Surprisingly, no one else the library seemed to notice his sudden disappearance.
Mim awoke and stretched a bit. She slowly and quietly got up and slipped away so as not to waken any of the others who were asleep where she was.  She started to pick and gather some leaves for the injured to eat in the place she had left.
