The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

"Oh, okay.  I just wasn't sure what that had meant, but I know now," Anna said with a nod.  Just then, Ducky let out a sneeze as she began to shiver.

"I am so cold, yep yep yep," she said through chattering teeth.  Anna was cold herself, but she was worried more about Ducky.  She gently picked Ducky up and held her close before Anna turned her back to the entrance as a means to keep Ducky out of the draft.  Cera found herself shivering as she went over to a shivering Tricia and tried to keep her warm.

Rick sighed as he still couldn't find any place to escape the rain.
"If I get sick...I will be so mad." he commented aloud, not like anyone could really hear him anyway.

Longtail stirred for a moment with a yawn and stretched his body.
"So...we're still in the rain huh?" he asked with a tired tone in his voice.

"Yep." Commented Rick with another sigh. Just then he noticed a cave that looked empty, and he hoped indeed that it was as he lowered his head and stepped inside. "Hello? Is anyone here?" he called out and waited to see if anyone answered.

(OOC: GVG, just curious, WHERE exactly are you in the rp? I was wondering if you could be in where Kor and I are, or did you want to find a cave else where?)

Little Foot looked up at his grandmother and sighed and retold his dream. "Well Mr. Three Horn got mad and...he killed Amy, one of the new comers, and everyone was yelling and fighting and then Red Claw came and ate the whole valley...so I'm just wondering what you think this means. It was a lot like what happened to today."
-----------
Mr. Three Horn nestled near his mate and asked her, "How are you feeling dear?"
----------
Amy sighed and looked out of the cave entrance hoping the rain would soon stop, though she loved the rain, he didn't like being very cold. She, with her unusual sense of sight top notch as a flyer peered through the rain and thought she saw a longneck and a flyer looking for a cave.

"Hey!" She shouted through the rain.
-----------
Red Claw drank a bit of water...actually dunk his whole head in the water...and he gulped it completely.

He slammed his head against a tree and kept roaring.

(OOC: Truth be told I'm just wandering the valley right now. I was hoping to walk into the cave you and Kor are sharing if that's alright.)

Grandma Longneck nuzzled Littlefoot gently as she replied, "It could mean many things, but for now it would be best not to worry about such things...Redclaw may be dangerous, but as long as we work together as a herd there isn't anything that can separate us."

(OOC: Yeah sure, go ahead. ^^)

Little Foot nuzzled his grandma back. "I guess so...but...it was just weird how almost the same things that happened today happened in that dream. It was like the other one I had when we went through the long neck migration and...and we lifted up the bright circle!"

"Don't go to far into the rain.  You'll get cold again and wet." Flapper said, not thinking getting cold and wet would do anyone much good.

With Rick still being in the rain and his eyesight being rendered rather useless by the heavy amount of rain, he squinted to see who was calling out to him, but his hearing was still as sharp as ever and he immediately ducked into the cave the voice was coming from. "Hello." He called out as he gently shook the rain water off.

Longtail sneezed and shook the extra water off himself too.
"I think I'm getting sick...ugh." he groaned to himself. He then smiled and offered a polite "Hi. Are you two new in the valley?"

~~~
Grandma Longneck sighed. "Sometimes a sleep story can seem so real, but you don't have to worry, even if Redclaw were to get back into the valley, we will do all we can to protect you and your friends. Including the newcomers."
"Sure." Chomper answered "What kind of story you want to tell us, Chronicler?" he asked.
--------
Claw was slowly waking up, feeling his head hurt noticeable, to say the least. When he opened his eyes, he saw that he was lying under some rock, not exactly the cave, but he had some roof over his head, which was good, since the Sky Water was still falling from the sky. He tried to move, but something wrapped around his body was restricting his moves, so he tilted his head to see what was it. This thing looked like some kind of vines, which were strong enough to resist his attempts to tear it up (by stretching his limbs) and since he couldn't bite it it seemed like he was not going to free himself...
Amy looked up at the longneck and then at Longtail, "Yeah, we actually are, I guess you are a native here?" Then she continued to say, "It's a lot more warm here, come by the fire." She motioned her hand to the fire.
------------
Little Foot sighed and stayed close to his grandmother. He was glad he had grandparents he could count on to give me gentle wisdom and make him feel safe. He still wasn't sure if they really understood him.
Flapper nods.  "I am new here as well.  Come closer to the fire, It'll help to dry you and warm you up." Flapper said motion to the fire and making room for the others to join them.
"How are you feeling Littlefoot?" Grandpa Longneck asked.
Rick steps towards the fire and lies down close enough to the fire not to burn himself, and nods to Flapper and Amy. "Thank you again. I personally can't stand rain, which is odd since I enjoy swimming alot." he said with the last part being almost an afterthought.
Longtail slid off of Rick's back and sat closer to the fire and smiled.
"Well when the sky water stops, I can show you all around the valley if you'd like." he offered with a smile.
Pangaea had been quiet for a while now. He had remained close to Ducky until Anna had picked her up. (He had hoped to continue his conversation with her longer, but could see that she was cold, and didn’t want to push anything on her; he’d wait until later.) Similarly, he saw Cera trying to keep warm a rain-chilled Tricia, and felt a pang of concern for Guido. He worried that the younger glider had himself been caught in the rain, and hadn’t been so lucky in finding shelter. The possibility that Guido was alone somewhere in the rain, while Pangaea was safe and dry in this cave, was distressing to him. Perhaps he was being unnecessarily worriedóafter all, Guido did know the layout of the Great Valley far better than himóbut he couldn’t shake the feeling that it would be irresponsible of him not to try to make sure he was okay.
“Maybe I should go out and look for Guido,” he muttered under his breath, thinking out loud as he often did. He turned to Ducky, Anna, Cera, Tricia, Tria, and Mr. Threehorn. “Can any of you tell me how to get to Petrie’s nest from here? I just want to check and see if Guido’s there.”
'You know 'Thomas' that's twice I've gone into the danger zone fighting thud,,' sam said. "I just have to sing that song now that I've mentioned it,' sam said.
Revvin' up your engine
Listen to her howlin' roar
Metal under tension
Beggin' you to touch and go
Highway to the Danger Zone
Ride into the Danger Zone
Headin' into twilight
Spreadin' out her wings tonight
She got you jumpin' off the track
And shovin' into overdrive
Highway to the Danger Zone
I'll take you
Right into the Danger Zone
You'll never say hello to you
Until you get it on the red line overload
You'll never know what you can do
Until you get it up as high as you can go
Out along the edges
Always where I burn to be
The further on the edge
The hotter the intensity
Highway to the Danger Zone
Gonna take you
Right into the Danger Zone
Highway to the Danger Zone
"Man I just love that song,' sam said.
(OOC: Thanks for the napping suggestion, Pangaea :)!)
"I'm not sure exactly where it's located, but I believe his nest is on a ledge on one of the mountains.  Can ya point him in the right direction, Ducky?" Anna asked as she went over to the cave entrance.
"I can, yep yep yep," Ducky said.  She looked around for a few moments before she pointed in the direction of Petrie's nest.
"It is that way, yep yep yep," Ducky said, then yawned.  "I am so sleepy.  I am, I am."
"I'm sleepy, too.  We can't do much of anything with all this rain comin' down, so I say a good nap won't hurt anything," Anna added before she returned to the wall she had been resting against.  She set Ducky down, sat herself down, stretched out on the cool rocky floor, and curled up.  Ducky joined her before the two drifted off to sleep. A couple of moments later, Cera and Tricia joined them and fell asleep.
(OOC: Cancerian Tiger: You’re welcome. ;))
Pangaea smiled. “Thanks,” he said, “I’ll be back.”
Careful to maintain his orientation on the direction Ducky had pointed, Pangaea walked out of the cave. He then performed a quick visual survey of the area outside, doing his best to ascertain and memorize any distinctive landmarks he could use to find his way back.
Not wanting to get too heavily doused with rain, he found a plant with large, broad leaves on long, vertical stems. The stems were too thick to simply break off one of the leaves from the plant, so Pangaea chewed through one (actually, to say that he bit down repeatedly on the stem until it had been severed would be more accurate, since his Microraptor jaws were not adapted for true chewing), and held it up over his head as an improvised umbrella.
After pausing to memorize his surroundings one last time, Pangaea set off in the direction of Petrie’s nest.
(Ok. :) )
Little Foot sighed and said, "I'm fine Grandpa, I'm just cold." He tried to lean closer to his Grandmother and asked, "What do you two think of the newcomers?"
------------
As Amy was about to open her mouth to respond to Longtail, but with her supersensitive ears she heard crunching of the leaves and the splashing of the puddles through the rain. She looked their way and said to the others in the cave, "Hey guys, looks like we have someone else coming in."
-----------
Red Claw stopped stiff for a moment. He sniffed near a tree and sniffed around. He smelt tasty, delightful scent through the rain.
"Blood!
He whispered out loud.
"Screech, Thud! Get over here!" He growled at them.
What? What is it?” Screech grunted unenthusiastically as he approached Red Claw.
