"Come on, Petire," Chomper encouraged, "remember that all your friends, and these newcommers, are all pretecting you. Besides, we're lending help to the newcommers."

"And it's always nice to help others, especially when they need help," Ruby added.

"Me like helping friends.  But me no want make Cera's dad Angry." Petrie said.

"Sounds like he's not a very friendly sort of person." Dan said.

"His animosity towards newcommers  is comparable with Glide's," Chomper commented.

[f-22 "raptor" ace]

"Well it sounds like he could learn something from us," Frank said.

[Kor]

"Sadly there are many of his kind around." Dan said.

[f-22 "raptor" ace]

"Would Mr threehorn say something like this?" "What is with these newcommers I just don't understand anything they do." Frank said with the latter being said in german but with a very gruff sounding voice.

"Yep, that sounds like something that he'd do," Chomper agreed.

"And he does it a lot," Ruby added.

[Kor]

"It do sound like him." Petrie said nodding.  

"It does, it does." Ducky said nodding along with Spike who nodded also.

Frank looked at grandma longneck. "Don't worry we should be back before sunset," frank said.

Grand ma longneck looked back at frank. "Just be careful," Grandma longneck said.

[Dima02]

"Alright it's go," Cleve said, picking up one of the backpacks.

"It takes a long time to get to the smoking mountains," Ruby said, "maybe we can make the time feel shorter by singing."

[Kor]

"Yes, hopefully the trip will be a short one." Dan said, putting on his backpack.

[Serris]

Deimos nodded. "We may need to set up camp partway through the journey," he said. "So who goes to the front?"

"Ruby and you, you two know the route better than almost all of us," James replied, munching on some smoked salmon.

"I should also walk by them since I'm the best shot here," Frank said.

[Dima02]

"I'll cover your back," Cleve said. Cleve, however didn't bother to arm his pistol. He figured that Frank and James were both better armed and trained. Besides, the amount of ammo was severely limited."

Ruby and Chomper walked up to the front of the group. "We're exiting the Great Valley and entering the Mysterious Beyond," Ruby cautioned, "Many sharpteeth roam around here. Be extra careful."

"You know, Ruby," Chomper said, "I love a good adventure. I like to go adventuring, adventuring, adventuring..."

[Serris]

"All the more reason to be careful," Deimos replied. His walking stick also made a fairly effective weapon. "James, that weird stick you have, maybe you should cover the sides," he said.

James nodded and moved from the rear to the right side.

The procession proceeded through the valley to one of the exits. Many of the dinosaurs stared in curiosity at the newcomers but none of them were openly hostile.

Frank kepted walking ignoring the residents of the valley that were stairing at him and the others.

"Adventuring is such a great thing to do," Littlefoot continued.

[Kor]

"Another good thing about having Chomper up front is if he's like most meat eating species his sense of smell should be among the best in this group." Dan said.  

"It true, he have best sniffer." Petrie said.

"Spike has a good sniffer also, he does, he does." Ducky said patting Spike who nodded.

"He do." Petrie said.  

[Serris]

"Ruby, which way do we go?" James asked.

He looked around, it was late afternoon and all he could see was a harsh desert landscape. Luckily, he had the sense to wear a hat and sunglasses.

"Didn't think i would need my flight cap with the tinted lenses I wish i brought it now though," Frank said keeping an eye out for danger.

[Dima02]

"The smoking mountains are close," Ruby responded, "They're in that direction." Ruby pointed north with her finger."

"Look," Chomper exclaimed, "that rock looks like a threehorn."

"It's Threehorn Peak," Ruby said, "We should be close."
