The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Ducky returned carrying some more wood.  She put this down next to the pile of wood she had gathered before.  "Is this enough, I do hope so since I am getting tired." She said.

Dan returned with his container full of fruit, and some plant parts he recognized as being in season and eatable.  He set this down in the camp.  "All those can get pretty heavy after a while." He said.

Deimos returned with some more wood. "There, now we can have dinner and share stories," he said.

James now had a second fire going It had a metal grate on top to serve as a grill. "All right, now let's have dinner. Cleve, could you please clean the fish? Dan and I'll will cook some of the plants. Ducky, Petrie, Littlefoot, Ruby, Chomper, Frank, Deimos, you can do whatever you want. Share stories, sleep or help," he said.

Deimos shrugged and picked up a sharp stone. "I'll cut some meat from the dead Swimmer outside so you can all try it," he said, heading out of the cave.

"Sounds like a good plan. Some of these do require cooking.  SOme, like these fruit could be eaten as is." Dan said.  "Some of these plant parts could function as spices too though we'd have to test and label each one." Dan said.

"We can tell funny stories.  We can also rest as we do so." Ducky said.

"Me like that idea." Petrie said.  "Funny stories are funny and not scary."

Deimos returned with some pieces of meat from the dead Swimmer.

The water was finished boiling so James let it cool a bit. While it was cooling, he tossed a piece of meat from the Swimmer onto the grate along with some of the edible plants.

"So who wants to share stories while I cook?" he asked.

"These do smell like the fruits that kept Redclaw out of the valley," Chomper stated, "I can hardly stand it. Do you guys not smell it?"

Cleve shook his head. "We can just barely smell it." Cleve moved the fruits to the entrance of the cave as to not bother Chomper. He then sat down and began gutting some fish."

"They smell tasty to me, they do they do." Ducky said nodding.

"Me too." Petrie said, to which Spike nodded his head as he licked his lips, their smelling very tasty to him as well.

"Maybe we can plant some of the seeds close to the Great Valley.  So that way there maybe can be an area near the Great Valley that dangerous meat eating dinosaurs won't like to go to but plant eaters may be safe." Dan said as he continued to help with cooking the plants.

Ruby nodded. "Especially that the fruits we used against Redclaw haven't grown back yet," she said with an erudite smile.

Chomper didn't like the smell of the fruits, but he did not want to go against the will of his friends. He tried to stay at the back of the cave where the smell was a lot weaker.

Cleve scaled another fish and handed it to Deimos. "A story would be nice,: Cleve agreed, "but I can't think of one from the top of my head."

"I know a few fairytales my grandmother used to tell me before she died which was before I left Germany with my mom and dad." Frank said.

"That does sound like a good idea Frank," Littlefoot said.

Deimos tossed the fish onto the improvised grill moved out of the cave as the odor from the fruits was starting to make him sick.

James passed out stainless steel cups filled with cooled water from the the pot. He also passed out stainless steel plates filled with the cooked vegetables.

"Maybe we can cook some of the food and put it into containers to eat later." Dan said making sure everyone got food and some water.

"A fairytale.  What is that?" Ducky asked from where she was sitting down.

Frank streched out and rubbed his chin. "Now let's see which one should I tell?" Frank asked himself while still rubbing his chin.  "How about Rapunzel, do you guys want to hear that?" Frank asked the group.

Cleve yawned and moved a little closer to the fire. He imagined the stories he could tell to these dinosaurs. They've never heard of stories of great authors like Dickens and Verne. They've probably never envisioned possibilities like going to the moon or traveling around the world. The possibilities were endless.

"Go ahead," Cleve said, "That story has a really happy ending."

frank cleared his throat before he started. "Many years ago there was a couple that wanted a child who lived next to a walled garden that belonged to an enchantress," frank said.

James listened as he ate his meal of vegetables. "Hey, I hate to interrupt, but the fish and meat are done if anyone wants some," he said, taking a sip of his cup of water.

Ducky made sure she was comfortable and near the warm file as did Spike and Petrie.

"Anyone want some?" Dan asked as he got ready to help with the serving.

Cleve grabbed a slice of the fish and sat on the ground. His arm wound was still bothering him, but it was getting a lot better. Cleve genuinely enjoyed Frank's story-telling, because it distracted him from his physical pain.
