As Redback and Zin wandered inbetween two ledges, the former was startled as he felt a weight land on his head. He watched the bundle fall, and saw it was another sharptooth.
Finally, some action! Tensing up, he took up a defensive stance, tail balancing him out, head lowered, eyes wide open, claws bared. He watched the sharptooth for any movement, ready to block or defend him.
Zin followed suit, holding his claws before him, one set clenched into a point, the other fanned out.
Redback grinned his massive teeth, saliva dripping from his two massive canines, as they jutted almost past his jawline. Stepping slowly forward, he leaned in close to the sharptooth and snarled.
But then he stopped, as he heard the little sharptooth speak.
"Wait....You just spoke..."
The small sharptooth nodded timidly, clearly terrified.
"You spoke..leafspeak...? H-how do ya know leafspeak?!"
He stood up and backed off.
(OOC: Leafspeak is just my term for the language of the leaf-eaters. Bit of creative liberties there..)
