Harper just watched quietly as Devon gave Roger the symptoms leading up to the illness again and then the other flyer darted off. He...he sounded like he had a plan, but she knew building up too much hope could be bad. Still she could hardly help feeling that, yes, he would come back with a miracle or something, even if she knew this was very unlikely.
She just sat a bit away from where Devon was still over by Pterano. Again, not due to indifference, but due to everything and the odd sensation of feeling suddenly cold making her not want to be too near either as she sat there with her knees drawn up against her and wings folded over them.

Petrie turned slightly, listening as Artie went on. He couldn't help frowning a bit more sadly, just in confusion and despair, as Artie mentioned a 'better place'. He'd heard the term before, it was where his mother said his father he didn't remember was, but the little flyer didn't even know what it was suppose to mean, just that they weren't here, and right now here was where he wanted to keep his uncle.
Her words on how seeing him again was what kept Pterano going stunned the little flyer again and he glanced up at her. "M-me?" he asked, then frowned as the whole situation hit again. "But...he not even get to return. Not even get to see Cold Times all up and now...". Petrie's words cut off as he suddenly launched forward, burying his beak and most of him, given the size, into Artie's wing. It did provide some comfort, her words on understanding, but not enough and Petrie's tears still flowed though his sobs had calmed.
