I know the legend and I get what the message was. I know that a phoenix burns to ashes and is then reborn from those ashes. I also know that Fluttershy was meant to learn the lesson you pointed out. However, you must understand the one part of me that won't shut up whenever death is introduced, and it's the part of me that is just fed up at this point with how the element of death is treated with kid's shows in the US these days.
I just can't stand it anymore. I want the element of death in a Kid's Show to be real, okay? I want there to be pain, suffering, sadness, the acceptance of moving on without that special someone and the changes that would come forth of that someone not being around anymore. When was the last time a Kid's Show in the US had the balls to rub such an element in front of the arrogant Soccer Mom's faces like that? All to teach them a very powerful lesson?
I want someone to do this yet again with a Kid's Show. I'm fed up and I've had enough.
I await the day the Element of Death is done justice. Some have come rather close, but not close enough to satisfy me.
Does FiM have the balls to do it? We shall await and see.
