The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

The "Wii" series

For you Wii owners out there, what do you think of the series of games named after the console featuring just the Miis?

Currently, there is Wii Sports, Play, Fit, Music, Sports Resort, Fit Plus, Party, and coming soon: Play Motion.

The original Wii Sports-imo though it is kind of the defining game for the Wii, it's no personal favorite of mine. However, the bowling will always remain a classic.

Sports Resort-Loved it. I liked the setting, which I explored a lot in the flying minigame. The expanded variety of sports really put this over the top, though it actually isn't my fav of the series, TBH.

Play-rather weak, I didn't really get into the mini games this one offered.

Fit-Rather enjoyable, and it does provide a workout. I worked my butt off on the balancing, soccer, and hula hoop games. I broke a sweat constantly.

Music-Don't play many music games myself, so I didn't go for this one.

Party-IMO the best of the bunch. It managed to be a good Nintendo party game without any Mario elements. I liked the variety of ways to play the "main game", with World Tour actually being my favorite mode, though it seems a lot of reviewers didn't seem too fond of this one.

Though I didn't care much for Wii Play, the upcoming sequel, Wii Play: Motion actually looks good IMO

(Though not said in that trailer, based on a US ad for the game, I really wonder what is going to make the game get an E10+ rating.

Here here. I'm not one for mini-games. Serously, does anyone like mini-games. If so, I'd actually like to hear your reasons.

I only play the primary Wii games or the older ones you play on it.

I, for one, as you could tell by my above reviews, like mini-games.

Since most games filled with mini-games are huge compilations, there's a variety of those small types of mini-games. And thus, for the most part, a major variety in game play. Lots of other multi player games, like Call of Duty (though I'm not trying to bash that or anything), though it comes with multiple gameplay modes, in the end they're all so fairly similar to each other it doesn't allow for a lot of uniqueness, and though those games have a lot of replay value, after an hour or so of gameplay you'll realize that this is all you can expect, although if you like that, then it won't affect your enjoyment of the game.

I like mini-games mainly because they are "mini." Small, simple little challenges, and that, for the most part, are all different from each other in a single compilation. (Though owning multiple party games I see common game types found in many). It almost gives one a sense of being at a party, which is probably why the genre is referred to as "party games."

I see. Thanks for the response.

Now, Mario Party is an exception I would make to my "don't like mini-games preference", especially the second one, speaking of party games.
