"Good work men!" announced Soldier as his team collected themselves. Engineer had even saved his sentry, though there was no real reason for him to have done so.

"Nurse, ve must get to ze infimary to treat ze vounded!" called Medic with slightly too much excitement. He had already gotten Zachary onto a stretcher and was wheeling him away. Nurse silently filed suit.

"Where's spy?" asked Sniper, doing a quick headcount. "I think we may have lost him!"

"We hafta go back!" gasped Demoman. "We left Spy--!"

"--Relax," the missing Frenchman shimmered into view, slinking in the corner. "I know when its time to cut and run."

"You have no idea," Dr. Kerzach said as the taxi wound its way through the ship's corridors. He decided not to mention his suicide attempt.

After a few minutes, the taxis pulled up to a rustic looking tavern in Winterville's town square. Several of the crew were milling about.

"Well, here we are, Winterville Tavern." The driver pressed a button and the doors slid open.

Stripetail and the others soon reached the tacern ' nick! Kerzach! The wizard smiled. ' good to see you are still all in one piece..' his voice grew solemn. ' but i'm afraid Chong is just the least of our problems.. please tell us bhow you managed to escape.
Well Nick began.' chong sent us out for Supplies, and well we ran into some of the natives- such as Spyro, Cynder, Gill Grunt and others.. they helped us get away from chong and goons long enough to send out the emergency signal..; nick sighed it had been several long weeks in captivity for him..

' spyro cynder, it appears you have counterparts in this universe.." stripetail said with a smile ' to clear up any confusion, you two must wear your armor as long as the other two are around.." He turned to Skylanders " i am Lord stripetail, a magical squirrell. " he smiled " er Nice to meet You Spyro and Cynder said . ' its good to meet somene like myself Spyri grinned. ' yeah' cynder niodded. ' the other and i have already met. we'll call ourselves skylands and warfang to seperate ourselves..

Winterville Tavern was an industrially decorated tavern with laser cut steel tables and chairs. LED lights bathed the area in an icy blue glow.

"Give me a f---ing break," Deimos said.

Captain Carson ordered everyone a round of ice water and some fried calamari, clams, catfish pieces and vegetable tempura for everyone to snack on while they discussed ideas.

A monitor/camera/microphone/speaker assembly rose up from the table. The display flickered and Rainbow's snout filled the entire screen.

"Sorry!" The camera zoomed out and all four of the living planes were visible.

Captain Carson turned to Stripetail. "Commander, as these are all your personnel, would you like to start the meeting?"

"Hey, uh...we supposed ta be at this meetin'?" Scout whispered to Pyro.

"Mrphhr muhmhpmuh!" Pyro shrugged happily.

"Ah just came fer the free food," Demoman grabbed a handful of shrimp and swallowed them whole, tails and all. Then he downed a bottle of saki.

"Where is Doktor?" asked Heavy, looking around.In front of him was a plate of clams and catfish, adorned with spices and dobs of piquant sauce.

"Eh, doin' sciencey crap or sometin' back on the ship," Scout grabbed a piece of vegetable tempura and grimaced at his fist bite. Spitting it out he took the entire plate of tempura and poured Bonk! on it. "Dere. Add some zap to that crap."

Stripetail turned to the others..' well everyone, we have successfully rescued mick and kerzach from chong's clutches. Well done. we will be spending a couple days on Skylands, getting supplies and learning about the culture. Chong, no doubt is already fleeing. we will catch up to him soon enough. Any questions?" Stripetail asked.
dixie was munching on the catfish as she listened in.

cynder- warfang- went over and tapped tigeress on the shoulder, when this meeting is over, i need to talk to you about the things we discussed earlier ' sure tigeress said ' we really havent had time since to talk about it, what wrong..
- well its kinda personal, and well tghis isnt something you tell someone where others can hear.
- alright tigeress nodded. ' i'm going to hang out with agumina later, just so you know.. we havent had time to get caught up..' sure jour chat shouldnt take more than 15 minutes' Cynder said..

Deimos took a bite of the shrimp.

"Excuse me," Rainbow said. "But we have some concerns. As you know, we are silicon based, robotic lifeforms. And the magic field was causing severe interference with our guidance systems and radios. We wish to know if this intense magic field could harm us in any way?"

Mr. Bigmouth took a bite of the vegetable tempura. "Scout, may I see your sauce?"

Captain Carson finished off her fifth catfish slider. "Well then, let's finish our meal and prepare for exploration and mapping."

it can , if you are exposed to it long enough.' Stripetail replied. ' we had tests run on some of the crew here, and the results varied from creature to creature. since you are not flesh and blood, the magic would not affect you as severely as it does to mortal creatures. i can whip up some measures to help you. perhaps an anti-magic coating?

"If we boost the power of our radios and navigation systems we should be able to overpower the magical field but I do not know if the others can carry the large batteries or generators required," Major Lockie said.

Captain Carson drank some water. "All right, is everyone finished eating?"

"Yeah!" Scout grinned, tossing a can of Bank! over. It bulged at the edges, its carbonation straining the can from the flight shaking it up.

Medic and Nurse appeared, wheeling Zachary on a stretcher. "He is fully healed!" announced Medic. "I also took ze liberty of replacing his heart vis a slightly stronger one. He should have gained roughly 100 hit points."

Zachary got up from the stretcher. "Well, I'm healed up and ready to go. Thanks!"

Captain Carson led the group to the electric taxis that would take them to the equipment bay and then the hangar where they would prepare for exploration.

tigeress and cynder headed off from the room, together, while the two spyros decided to get to know each other over lunch art the winterville cafe. warfang spyro was bigger and older than skylands Spyro, who looked considerably different from him.

"If you want I can bring in some folks to explain hit points. Maybe part of the design team for Skyrim, some of the final fantasy games, Earthdawn, 2 of Gary Gygax's sons. Or from the late 1970's Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson themselves, they were among the folks who invented the Dungeons & Dragons rpg system." Jason said.

"Won't they find it odd traveling in a tardis to here, whoever you pick?" Gnash asked.

"No, they'd just thing it was a dream." Jason said.

"Like the time George Washington fought those ice warriors?" Gnash asked.

"I never would have thought George would be so good at pinball." Sara said.
