Captain Carson, Ms. Swimmer, Mr. Bigmouth, Captain Fairchild and Rainbow were all ready to go. Rainbow's paint job was now a solid black color that contrasted strongly with her previous light blue paint job.

The living crew members (with the exception of Ms. Swimmer) had their anti-radiation suits donned but didn't put their helmets on. Captain Carson was giving her rifle a once over while Mr. Bigmouth was examining his research equipment as well as his weapons. Ms. Swimmer did a few practice katas with her dual sticks.

"Stripetail," Captain Carson said into the vehicle bay intercom. "Ms. Swimmer, Mr. Bigmouth, Rainbow, Captain Fairchild and myself are all prepared to head out. We await the arrival of your team."

The lionesses watched as Kovu and Kopa began their eating contest. They were mostly matched at first, scarfing food down at an alarming rate.

It was after several plates of wings that Kiara noticed something about her big brother. "His face is turning so red....." she wondered to herself.

After spending some time on it, Jing King finished polishing the trophies. "I completed the task you ordered me to do father, exactly how you wanted me to do it," she said respectfully.

Kopas tongue screamed from the hot wings he was gulping down, and He tried to douse and cool the tongue by gulping down copious amounts of drink. On the balance of number of wings eaten and drink consumed, Kopa was winning the contest. What he didnt know was that Kovu, being resourceful, had slipped an extra layer of sauce on Kopas share of the wings. A form of gamesmanship on the brown kings part, but also partly because Kovu was , like Kopa a competitive sort. Kovu loved to eat, and hated losing eating contests to anyone. As the wings got spicers and spicier, Kopas face got redder and redder, yet still he kept eating. aftrer the 20th tray of wings, They started eating Red Savina pepper wings, the next tray would be ghost peppers and then Komodo dragon peppers, which were so spicy, just one drop of the sauce could literally burn a hole in your tongue. Kopas eyes were like faucets they were so watery, and he downed soda rapidly to cool down his tongue. Kovus eyes were watering badly as well, but the smirk on his face told all, he was enjoying the battle.

Kiara could tell the heat was affecting both her mate and her brother, but Kopa was clearly even less prepared for the sheer extent of the heat. He had gone through his sodas at such a quick pace that he was nearly out of them.

"We might see a firebreathing lion," Kiara told Sina and Vitani.

Kopa finished gulping down the last of the red Salvanias and started on the Ghost pepers at the touch of the first his tongue ignited and burned to ash the remaining peppers he shoved into his mouth. kopa gulped down the last of his soda and emitted a belch which caused a jet of flame shoot from his mouth." Impressive' Kovu said calmly a smile on his face.. " i'm going to need ice on this tongue like the next week " Kopa murmured" a rumble from his gut idicated some of the wings were coming back up. ' last one bro " Kovu said giving him a tray covered with 2 large wings " komodo Dragon- spiciest pepper on the planet. Kovu gulped up his soda with one drag and stuck out his tongue which was now covered in a black film that rivaled his mane for darkness.

As Stripetail said this the rings on the team activated, encasing the group in thjier armor. Kovu's felt a cooling mist enter his nostrils and filter down to his tongue cooling and dissolving the deletris eating all those spicy hot wings had left behind. Thanks. Kovu said throiugh his helmet ' We were in a hot wing contest' You'll have to finish it later Kovu. this is more pressing. We need to learn more about Weynard>" stripetail said.

They had opted to use the dune buggies along with a flatbed all-terrain electric truck that carried a portable shield generator. As these vehicles relied on simple electric motors, they were resistant to the magic radiation.

Captain Carson herself had opted to pilot the Arkeyan Show Cruiser. The Aestorican Glider was parked and ready but she thought it inappropriate to use that craft without getting explicit permission from Stripetail.

She looked over the controls of the ship. They were a bit showy for her taste but the controls were pretty much the same as was found on the shuttle.

The roar of jet engines was heard as Captain Fairchild and Rainbow took off. She opted to wait for Stripetail's crew.

Rainbow was stunned by the beauty of Weyard. Rolling grasslands as far as the eye could see and a majestic mountain range to the north. To their west was a pristine beach. Not far to the east of them was a bustling port city on the delta of a river.

Of course, atop that mountain range was what appeared to be a star.

Of course, the drone they had made for Chong was able to penetrate into the heart of the Apollo Sanctum. Amazingly, the drone was so well-made that it lasted for five minutes. But in those five minutes, the drone was able to transmit some pictures.

Granted, all the pictures were washed out due to intense light and grainy due to the interference of the transmission from Weyard's magic.

One of the pictures showed a massive cannon atop a platform. Another picture showed and elevated podium on a platform similar to that on the cannon. Two pictures then showed two open parabolic antennas on stone platforms.

Several more shots showed that all of the components were connected and the platforms linked by what looked like a narrow stone catwalk. The final picture before the drone burnt out was a picture of four female statues holding out their hands to form a bridge.

Luca took her share of the money and turned to Mona ."Mona dear I have some great news " she smiled and showed the pup what she had bought " My Gosh" Mona stuck her head in the bag and pulled out a bookshelf. Chong stared at the grainy pictures uses his magic to try and get them to be clearer. He rubbed his forehead, the drone had gotten closer and survived longer than anything else he had sent, still its information it had returned was only passable.. I NEED that lens.' he scowled. the scowl deepened as a image the Drone had taken before entering the sanctum had showed a large ship landing near Tonfon "great. the wizard and his entourage are here. Should have known they would catch up to me sooner or later.

Kiara, Kovu, and their siblings were in the armor they would use to traverse the landscape. "LEt's be ready for anything," Kiara commented.

The dune buggies carried simple dual .50 caliber heavy machine guns in their turrets as the rocket pods and anti-tank missiles were too likely to malfunction in the intense magic field. This was also why the living planes only had external cannon pods added.

A buzz was heard and a shimmering blue shield enclosed the group as the shield generator was activated.

Captain Carson in the Arkeyan Show Cruiser was the first to exit into the Weyardan plains followed by the rest of the group.

Ratchet and Angela were next and picked gabumon and gabuna to ride with them. spyro and cynder rode by themselves on the final bike. stripetail gestured and the glider appeared and he climbed on ' lets go meet up with carson.. stripetail said shooting off in the glider at at rapid rate. stitch activated his bike and raced forward causing kopa to smash into kovu as they bent backwards ' ow' kovu sputtered. the helmet took the full brunt of kopa being knocked into him.." so.. you have to pay for dinner tonight bro..'Kovu said..' we could try the stuff in town.." After you nearly burned my tongue off with those hot wings? kopa said. You're kidding, right? 'I got burned too Kopa " kovu said' badly, man..it was just a contest, dude..' Lets just focus on the job " Kopa said.

As they approached Tonfon, the shield flickered as a massive barrage of fireballs struck it. Luckily, the shield held firm as one of the gunners retaliated with a burst of bullets that splattered against an shimmering blue shield.

Captain Carson was aboard the Arkeyan Show Cruiser. She used one hand to radio Stripetail as she tried to figure out who had launched the fireballs. She saw a red-haired man stab his sword into the ground.

She barely had time to throw the ship into a hard bank as a burning spike of lava shot up from the ground.

Swearing profusely, she armed the magic missiles and locked onto the attacking mage.

Tyrell snorted. "So that bastard thinks he can get away with killing Amiti and Karis," he muttered. "We'll show him."

He didn't even flinch as one of the men lobbed a grenade at him. He unleashed the Dijinn Shell, causing that same shimmering blue barrier to appear. The grenade exploded causing the barrier to flicker but hold strong.

Sveta sniffed the air. She curled her lips as she picked up Stripetail's scent. She dashed forward at a blinding speed and tried to land a vicious punch at the first target she saw.

That target being Stripetail himself.

shuieldyus ' stripetail commanded as he caught the scent of the onrushingwolf. the clear shield surrounded him and protected him from attack. stripetail was however forced to stop his glider,. stripetail got off and stared at the wolfess who sat crouched about 15 feet away two long ponytails of hair running down to the ground, her claws were sharp, and her green eyes were aglow with what stripetail recognized as rage. " i do not wish to fight you madam' Stripetauiil said clearly ' I am only headed for Tonfon' He added , his paw firmly gripped his staff.
- the attacks from TYrell reached Scooby and His team, and forced the 5 bikes to scatter, as spiked of molten rock shot out ogf the ground, glowing brightly and giving off immense heat.. " other Way! Kopa shouted to stitch as a fresh wave raced towards them.
