Sveta managed to slip under one of Nick's punches, but the second punch caught her in the face. She staggered back from the powerful blow and shook her head to clear it.

"I see," she said. "Stand up fighting is your strength as is mine."

She feinted high and then went for a low kick at Nick's ankles to try and knock him off his feet.

Deimos rubbed his muzzle. "Well, I hope Nick's wrestling is as good as his boxing."

"I'm surprised he didn't use his feet more," Ms. Swimmer added. She offered her group some of the Mawashiian plum slices. Her snout was stained purple by the juices.

Dr. Zanasiu accepted a slice and ate it much like a watermelon slice.

Captain Carson pored over information that she and her crew had acquired about this star system. Alresdy, there were many planets to relax and sightsee on. Although she had a rather uncomfortable feeling about a  max-security prison planet being so close to a lucrative vacation area.

She had some of her crew monitor that area and keep updates on ships that arrived and departed. No doubt Chong might try and recruit the undesirables of the star system as muscle.

Nick jumped to avoid Sveta's low kick them struck out with his foot,  catching her in the back of the right knee." I trained more with my fists than feet" He said " At the expert level, your fist can move as fast as your feet." He added, and he began taking the offensive in the bout mixing up  feints, fist punches and leg kicks both left and right. " You're good, Sveta, very good, it's obvious you've spent a lot of time training. Its a good thing magic isnt allowed, otherwise, there wouldnt be much of me to cleanup.' Nick cghuckled slight as he stepped back slightly in his stance

 the 4 digimon managed to push the  heavy map model into the cab, which had no driver, but was operated by pressing down on arrows in the floor. ' Lets get back to the ship ' Agumon saif stepping on the forward arrow. " this would not be as big a problem if one of you two digivolved' Gabuna said. "Digivolving isnt something you can do on a whim ' Gabumon said , "there has to be danger involved. " So if I were to throw myself off of this cab?' Gabuna said and the three other Digimon shot her cold glares. ' Yes, that would count as danger. I did something similar a long time ago, and Agumon reamed me out on it for a full day, about how dangerous and stupid the move was ' Agumina said " Dont do anything stupid Gabuna, even if you do digivolve,  Garurumon cant fly." "Believe me, I've tried" Gabumon said. ' I can jump pretty far, but thats not flying." Don't ever say anything like that again Gabuna' Agumon said sternly. ' In  case you haven't noticed, the ground is hundreds of feet beneath us. a fall would be fatal.Do you have any idea what that would do to Gabumon here?" Sorry, sorry' Gabuna said."I won;t do it again." Agumina embraced her. 'come on, girl. we've got a lot of fun ahead of us..

Eris and Plux flew ahead of Skylar as the lynx  explored some of the shops. they are loads of weapons here ' Skylar said.  said, you could turn both arms into canons' Plux said ' Then how would I change my outfit?' Skylar said. " she has a point" eris said ;' I'm going to bring some things back to Eagle Spire to Study. Write papers on it, convince the Eagle Council to open contact with this world. Perhaps find something to upgrade my Speedor. I'd win a ton of Chi' She cackled.  I hope the wizard will follow through on his promise to fix my arm "Skylar pondered. " then I would be an accessory you hang on the wall ' Arm said. " I have a say in this too, you know." Well couldnt you be turned into armor or something " Plux said. " still have the problem of being hung on a wall somewhere." arm replied" unless Skylar wears you a lot, like i do my armor Eris said  pointing to her blue armor. " Your armor doesnt talk to you though " arm pointed out. " that would be,, rather creepy' Eris admitted" In the meantime I need to get Elida something, I promised her that I'd get her stuff.." One of your friends huh' Plux said ' yesm, she is, most eagles are guys, I need some gal time, every now and then. usually thats hanging out with Li'ella. but Elida has been hanging out with me more. she helped Laval deal with that problem  at Broken Lake, and I think she has a crush on him too. Get in line, galwing." Eris blushed.  Plux smirked.

The head doctor of the Spire's medical bay handed over small disc containing Stripetail's vital signs and medical records.

"Doctor Dondud," the head doctor said. "We leave the Seer's magical healing in your hands. I shall inform Captain Carson about this new development.

The medical staff left the Fongoid doctors to do their work but a few nurses stayed back to keep tabs on Stripetail's vitals.

Sveta hobbled back, the blow to her knee making her limp. She was briefly caught off guard by Nick's fierce assault. She would block or dodge a punch or a kick only to receive another one. Already, the multiple blows were starting to wear on her.

She dodged one punch and managed to catch his leg as he swung it around for a kick. She twisted his foot, hoping to make him fall down and then she might be able to wrestle him using her arms.

Captain Carson pressed the shipwide intercom. "Attention everyone, thanks to the generous contribution of President Qwark, we are invited to stay at the system's resort planet free of charge."

so, he is a extremely EXTREMELY powerful being' said Dondud, looking at the records. a million years old!?!"  Dondud gasped. Epuch and Zulfus, pointed their glowing staffs at the seer. ' heal! they intoned and the shimmering staffed sent glowing beams of energy into the Seer. Dondud noticed the wizards paws making unconscious gestures, and redirecting the magic around his body. By the zoni! its almost as if hes aware of whats going on! but hes clearly unconscious, he shouldnt be able to do this.. Dondud gestured and an image of the seers body appear in front of him Ah.. 30% attachment over the entire body, arms 70%, head.. 100%.. given his injuries, hes show remarkable healing ad recovery. the numbers began rising as the magic flowed into the squirrel. "By Orvus! he could be fully healed within a day or so! Zulfus said. From 4th-degree burns? Praise the Zoni!' a crystal floated in the air and landed in front of Dondus , who picked it up  and touched it. an image of Stripetail appeared, much to his surprise  " To my doctors, whoever they may  be. What is my prognosis? " Very good, actually" Dondus said recovering from the surprise " I am Doctor  Dondus' the Fongoid bowed>' Thank you, doctor.  So good news then. I was afraid it would take weeks if not months to fully recover, with me likely suspended in a coma-like state the entire time . Technology, along with prompt care, certainly has its benefits, even  to an  old mage like myself. Where am I, precisely? ' You are on your ship, sir. as your skin takes, we will start lowering the drugs they are giving you. we are starting that now. You should regain consciousness once two thirds of your body "knits'.that should be anywhere from 12-18 hours from now. " but once you regain consciousness, you will need to rest to let the last transplanted skin take. 2-3 days from our estimates. hic' nurse, start lowering the pentobarbital and theopintal levels, from 20xmax, to 16xmax" Dondud said " thank you doctor." the image said. " I leave myself in your capable care"
_ Nick swore as the  mage twisted his leg painfully. he swund ghis other leg at her side making contact and feeling her control of his other leg slacken. His leg screamed from the twisting, it would likely start swelling in a few minutes. Nick kept the leg off of the ground as much as possible. Both he and Sveta were showing signs of becoming very tired, and the battle had all the makings of a stalemate.

Sveta collapsed as Nick lashed out with his foot, catching her in the hip. With both Nick and Sveta on the ground and exhausted, Ms. Swimmer and Deimos decided to declare the match a draw.

The Wolf Beastman smiled. She had a large bruise on her face and could barely stand but she looked immensely happy. "Nick," she said. "I am truly astonished at your hand-to-hand combat skills. No non-Beastman has ever fought me to draw before. You are first to do so."

Grumbles broke out among the spectators as they realized that the draw resulted in no one winning or gaining any money.

The nurse nodded and input some numbers on the computer controlled IV pump that provided a steady supply of nutrients, fluids and drugs to the Seer. Of course, it had to be modified to allow them to provide otherwise lethal dosages of drugs.

As it were, the dosage of the ansthethecs was lowered slightly. In a few hours, they'd slowly taper down the dosage until he regained consciousness and they could remove his breathing tube and unhook him from the ventilator.

"Thank you for you help, Doctor Dondus," the charge nurse said. "I shall note your orders and relay them to his team of doctors."

you're very good too Sveta. I think my leg might be broken. If its not, its REALLY twisted' Nick grimaced. he offered his hand for Sveta to shake. "a draw is a more than good result, given your obvious skill' Nick said, spitting out blood from a cut in his mouth. " right now, i could use a stiff drink, if only to numb the pain ' He grinned.

Thank you nurse. We will continue sending magic into him until he regains consciousness. We may, er, need a short break, for drinks and food at some point. We Fongoids do love to eat . heh heh'

 Eris, Skylar and Plux soon returned with Gifts to the ship. Eris had bouught scarves for Skylar and Plux, a book on Forngoid mysticism for Elida(eris had gotten a copy for herse;f as well) and  vests for Li'ella and Laval that could hold up to 10 chi orbs. Plux had gotten Skylar fresh mana for her jetpak, and Skylar had gotten her friend, an subscription to Owls of Solona.

 Tiger, tigeress and luca helped in  carrying the new gaming system into their rooms at the inn. .15 minutes later wargreymon entered the room and set the model in the corner. " so, anyone want to learn about the planets of this system?;' he said with a exasperated air as the system began to glow with light. " we're playing a game, Mister Agumon " Flash said ' wanna play?' No, thank you Flash. You guys have fun.

 Ace hardlight strode up to Chong;s desk carrying a huge chunk of ore and set in down on the desk with a thud ' Here's the ore you wantdd he hissed . " I don;t know why you want the stuff. its toxic as hell. " Its valuable, Mr- er Hardlight?- as a weapon." and a torture device" Chong smiled ' a few jabs with weapons made from this would get information from prisoners pronto. "I need drink too. To relax." Sveta shook hands with Nick but when she tried to stand, her weakened knee and hip gave out. She was assisted up by Dr. Zanasiu and Mr. Bigmouth while Ms. Swimmer helped Nick to his feet.

"I think we should probably get you two rested up in the hotel," Deimos replied. "And have some of the doctors look you over."

"Sir, shall we take this to the industrial areas?" a worker replied. The worker was wearing a space suit to protect against the hazardous nature of the ore.

Ace Hardlight was handed a sack of gold coins as payment for the trillium ore.

"Don't worry, I can be patient," Kiara purred to Kovu, walking around him in a seductive fashion. "I can't wait to see the resort, though." She made sure that Kovu got to see all the outfits Sima and her had purchased that day, even the ones just in their bags.

Oliver started to yawn. "I'm getting tired," he told Kitty, "Can we go back to the room?" He and Ollie had enjoyed their day out.

Nick let ms Swimmer guide him (more like, carry him) towards the hotel. His leg was now swollen and stiff.

Eris asked recovering her bearings. " Well Ewald sent me, thought you and Laval could use some help dealing with the problems  these explorers are running into . Also Laval. Kitty guided Ollie and Oliver back onto the ship, unfortunately this city didnt have any yarn, or anything like you might find on earth " it did, however have  sweets store, and olie was munching o a candy lolly that looked like an Agorian. " weird name for candy ' Kitty shrugged, as she looked in the bags od candy she had gotten for herself and the two kids.

"Keep up the pace," Nick encouraged Kiyo, "That'll help keep customers coming back." The fox was impressed with how well the tanuki put together the drinks. She was bringing in serious profits.

"The three of us should do stuff together while we're on vacation," Kiara smiled to Kovu and Sima, "And i know your cologne line will be a hit, dear." She nuzzled his head gently with her own.

Mr. Bigmouth went to go fetch the doctors. By now, additional sparring sessions were taking place.

Ms. Swimmer flagged down an electric taxi and helped Nick and Sveta into the seat. She herself got onto one of the repulsorsleds as she was too large to fit inside the taxi.

While the starship was heading towards a warp gate that would take it to Pokitaru.

While her first mate was piloting the Spire, Captain Carson was in the medical bay and speaking with the Fongoid doctors.

"Greetings, Doctor Dondud," she said. "I must thank you for your assistance in healing the Seer. Currently, we are on our way to the resort planet of Pokitaru."

The ship's own doctors and nurses were monitoring Stripetail and checking his vitals. Even with the decreased drug dosage, he was still in a coma.

pokitaru? oh you are in for a real treat! theres lots of fun things to do there. I was there a couple times for Fongoid doctor conferences- heh the conferences lasted two hours- and the rest of the two weeks was spent water-skiing, scuba diving and drinking pokitaru slushies.. hmm the patient will regain consciousness before we reach Pokitaru, my advice would be to let him walk around, and shake the cobwebs off. nurse continue lowering  the medications. once we get the medications below 1x, then we can remove the ventilator.
- scooby held up the crystal as the rest of the team entered and sat down.  the crystal shimmered an image of Stripetail appeared. hello everyone. as you are receiving this, I am in the midst of recovering from my injuries from operating the Lens. I must commend all of you, for your efforts throughout the worlds to date, we have made new friends,  traded with several new worlds, and thwarted Chong's and Mertavius' efforts to cause trouble. but life is not all work, there must be time for rest. this galaxy will be one of those times. enjoy yourselves, play games, stuff yourselves, or catch up on reading, whatever or whichever catches your fancy. I myself will be resting once I come to, at least for a little while. but once i do come to, I think a little party is called for. ' the image chuckled, and Scoobys eyes lit up." Take some time to relax with your partnwers, family and friends. and i;ll see all of you when i awaken. until then, do as Tarrax tells you." the image vanished.

oh, well, thats not how it works ' Kovu said. see,  my score gets doubled to match up against yours.  so lets say i shot a 70, you shoot a 70 and Sima shoots a 65. then you guys would win, because doubling my score would get a total of 140 to you girls 135. sima, in this case would also have the lowest score. So its not a guarantee that i would win. "

 Wendy  entered Nick's bar and plopped herself up on a stool next to toadette ' bartender! get me a Koopa Krush! if you have that here! She said to kIyo. "That will be right up ' Kiyo said.' would you like rocks in it?' No, No.. er.. just put some Fire Flower in it, to give it some kick.

 a voluptuous wind spirit entered the bar and took the last seat next to Wendy " Miss wendy Koopa, i presume!' said the purple spirit who had purple hair, large, very dark  red lips,  large and very visible breasts,  green earrings and a large golden necklace. Tracking down my brother ' Wendy sighed " We was supposed  to get him back a few days ago, when he finished a 'camping trip', but he hasnt come back. He;s in for it, too. Dad's threatened top put him in the Iron Maiden Toadstool for a week' Wendy said as Goombella came over to Hug miss Flurrie" Goombella! The ship gently landed on a large field that was currently not being used. Judging from the appearances, it appeared to be a golf course. The trip had taken a few hours but everything went according to plan.  

As it was, the medical crew tapered Stripetail off of the drugs and disconnected him from the ventilator. A group of Fongoid and Spirarian doctors would be accompanying him as he recovered, monitoring his vitals and other important parameters.

The ship wide intercom crackled for a moment before Captain Carson's voice came on. "Greetings crew," she said. "Courtesy of President Qwark himself, we have been invited to an all expenses paid, two week vacation on the resort planet of Pokitaru. Enjoy yourselves."

Cheers broke out amongst the refugees and the gathered crew. It had been weeks, if not months since they had a proper vacation.

stripetail opened his eyes as he was take n off the  respirator. he reached for the robes he normally wore and found only a thin hospital gown instead. Well, it is good to awaken after such a trying ordeal" he said, before turning to Doctor Dondud .Hello, doctor, Would you please fetch Captain Carson? i would like an update from her  since i was incapacitated. and  if you see him, tell Tarrax I'm awake, fully ' Stripetail said, his voice hoarse and thin" I- I will try sir' Dondud said. " But You really should rest" I have already rested for the better part of a week , doctor. I ned to stretch my legs and take in fresh air that isnt pumped into my lungs by a machine ' stripetail said.

Captain Carson was summoned to Stripetail's side. As was usual, the Fongoid and Spirarian doctors were present.

"Greetings, Seer," she said. "I do hope you are feeling better. Now, I assume you wish to know of the situation since the firing of the Apollo Lens."

The Human checked her PDA and racked her brain. "Well, we are currently at the resort planet of Pokitaru in the Polaris Galaxy. Thanks to some work that I did for President Qwark -- putting up some reelection billboards for him -- he is treating us to an all expenses paid two weeks vacation. On a more serious note, the jump drive of the Vaalbaran Hope was destroyed and they are currently trying to find a replacement.

"As for affairs on the ship itself. Last week, there was a memorial service for the volunteers who died on Vaalbara placing the antimatter charges, the Vaalbarans and Weyardians who had lost their loved ones. As for the Mawashiians, they're apparently preparing for a religious festival."

She then rubbed her forehead. "However, the worst thing I have found is that some planets have gone missing. Apparently, President Qwark wanted me to find them. For obvious reasons, I declined."

In the medical bay, the Spirarian doctors were examining both Nick and Sveta. In separate rooms of course.

"Your Majesty," the doctor said as she noticed the numerous injuries on Sveta's body. "You cannot continue sparring to such an extent."

"You dare blame Nick for injuries!?" she exclaimed. "It was fair fight!"

Yes , I am aware of the missing planet problem' Stripetail sighed.  from what little i know of this galaxy, they have machines or weapons that can move entire worlds hither and yon. so whoever is causing these worlds to vanish, has one of those devices. and, evidently has been using it, frequently ' stripetail said, running his paw through his head fur as tarrax entered.' but frankly, we need a break from the ever-present dangers of the cosmos. I cant remember the last time i actually took a vacation " stripetail said. "Better, Master?' Tarrax said "  not fully 100%, yet, Tarrax , but I feel much better. Has the team been any trouble?' No, not at all. " tarrax smiled. " though i did get the sense they were ready to kick back.." Who could blame them. Now, my dear dragon, I suggest you yourself take a short break. " Dragons don';t take vacations, masters. not even short ones. You on the other hand, need to fully recover. our room at the resort is number 10. the omniderate have been given room 15-24' Tarrax added. Thank you Tarrax" stripetail said. I'll guide the team to their rooms " tarrax nodded before leaving.

 stripetail got up from his bed and got slowly to his feet " The Vaalbarans should have little difficulty finding a jump drive, nearly every ship here has jump drives of one intensity or another. the trick is, finding one strong enough for them."

Captain Carson was escorted to her room. As was befitting her role of interstellar starship captain, she was afforded the status as equivalent of a head of state. As a result, she got the Presidential Suite.
