I guess it depends on who you get and where you live.

While I was looking to get LBT 10 and 11 at Wal-Mart, I went up to the clerk at electronics (she looked to be a pretty young woman) and told her plainly what I was looking for. I even gave her the names of the two movies. She said that they probably didn't carry the movies, and that having the movies shipped from walmart.com would cost me the price there, not the lower, normal price at the store. She was real kind. She never said anything unkind or harsh, nor did she make any fun of me. She was real understanding.

Actually, like I said, they didn't have the movies, but at least the attendant didn't burn me. :P:

Burn you?

What, are we witches now? XD

well, I'm looking over my budget to see what I can afford in getting the movies. I may purchase one or two tonight, or maybe later when my finances are in good tune. we shall see!

I wish my experiences would go that well.  I'm getting prepared to be embarrassed out of my wits when LBT 13 comes out and I have to get it. <_< It just gets worse every time. :(

I plan on floating around in electronics at Wal*Mart and grabbing it and checking out at electronics near time for my family to leave.

I hope since my mom knows about my LBT obsession now that she will check out with it.  They wouldn't dare give someone who's over 30 trouble.

I guess us old fogeys  :lol   compared to the young wippersnapers get treated different by cashiers.   :DD

Though it does raise an interesting point, if one has an older relative or friend who can buy the LBT stuff for them if they are concerned at how the cashier may act.

try buying the movie ::Britney Spears; Crossroads:: or ::Glitter:: over the counter

those two movies should make you feel MUCH more better about purchasing a kids movie!!!

I've been apart of a forum topic like this a year ago, and I'm just now recalling the basics..hense the honorable mentions of the two films above. (I've been a frequent visitor to the Rifftrax forums, if anybody knows what that is)

I personally don't find it embarrassing, but then again, nobody knows. If someone were to know, outside of here of course, I would be mortified beyond belief. Especially since I am though of as somewhat of a goth with my friends.

I refused to buy LBT 13 myself.  Mom bought it for me. :p I don't want to take any more crap from rude cashiers.

I recently managed to get my hands on a copy of LBT: The Great Day of the FLyers. When I went to ring it up, no questions were asked, the guy just pulled up the price and I paid for it....little did I realize until i got home that the man who rang up my purchase was a store manager! I found it hilarious! No question's no problem!

That's cuz managers tend to be more mature.  They're actually doing something with their life and they're a step up from the minimum wage guys.  I've never gotten any trouble with a manager for anything either.

True in many cases.  To bad more folks can't be more mature.  One of the good thing about buying online, besides it's often cheaper.  Though you have to wait to get your item.    If the people have a joke about someone buying LBT movies as they put it into a package, I'll never know.    :yes

One of the more uncommon cases where what you don't know actually can't hurt you (this is not always the case!).

And no 5-year-old is going to make a purchase online so they can't exactly laugh at an adult buying a LBT movie over the internet. :lol
