The Gang of Five
Hello, everyone!  The month of June is finally here and unlike last month, we admins actually remembered to update the news item for June.  :bestsharptooth This month we have a new character showcase for Doc, which can be found here.  Please feel welcome to say a few words about the sauropod of few words.

For our resident fanfiction writers, there are also active fanfiction prompts for the months of May and June, in additional to several optional prompts that can be completed if you want to work on something different.  Details can be found here. We look forward to seeing what you come up with!  :RubyCurious

(I can't get the idea of a novel starring Emile and Lena during the Scorched Earth War out of my head...)

Hahah, well, it turns out the idea just wouldn't leave, so here`s one final story, set 27 years before Into the Black! This one stars Emile and Lena (Emilena's parents) during the Scorched Earth War, a prelimiary event we've mentioned repeatedly across the RPs but never actually shown. Hope you enjoy!

I just rewatched Repo: The Genetic Opera and...I know it had low ratings when it was released, but if you look at what happened in the past year and watch's parallel with 2020. I have a feeling if it was released today it would be an interesting commentary on the USA's healthcare system and how people without insurance are treated in hospitals.

I'm still tickled that Rotti Largo was a Millenial that became the Big Bad in the film. He, along with Amber and Blind Mag are my favorite characters.

Good evening, everyone!

My apologies for posting this so late, but I suppose it is better late than never.  :bestsharptooth  For the month of April we had quite the abundance of excellent entries.    For this voting period (which will end at 11:59:59 PM forum time on July 5, 2021) each of you will have the opportunity to vote for the following entries:

A New Era Hatches
Author: Rhombus
Used the requested alternate prompt: "Imprinting is an amazing thing.  In many species, a new hatchling will form a permanent emotional connection with the first thing it sees upon escaping from its egg. Write a story where an odd case of imprinting forms part of the narrative or premise."
Description:  Imprinting is a funny thing sometimes.  But, for three orphaned hidden runners, species means little.  Thankfully for them, Mother Mender is there in their first moments.

Interesting. Despite his mother being quite different in this retelling, events thus far have been more or less consistent. That being said, I am liking the insights from Littlefoot here - such as pondering the differences between his mother and himself, and the complications that his reliance on green food brings. The interactions between Littlefoot's mother and Mr. Threehorn are also quite the same, but yet different in their own way. It will be curious to see how Littlefoot's different upbringing will lead to a different worldview (both in terms of his worldview and how others see him) in the chapters to come.
So, I saw the worst movie thread and I think we should have something where we acknowledge while our favorites aren't good by a critic's standpoint or even for a baseline movie in general, but we still love them.

Oooh... now this is quite the escalation of the overall situation. With the coming arrival of the refugees will come the usual challenge of resolving territorial disputes and handling further pressure on the valley's food supply, but, in addition, also the threat of the sharpteeth who are following the arriving "food". Not only does this place a greater risk over Arya than before, but now it seems that she has found her own trouble: the direct notice of Redclaw and an ultimatum that she might not be able to turn down... and survive. Though this chapter is short it certainly has brought the tensions up to a crescendo. I look forward to seeing how things develop from here.

Rock-A-Doodle is pretty bad, and yes I had to include a Don Bluth one. He made masterpieces like Land Before Time (which we all love of course), An American Tail, and The Secret Of NIMH, but Rock-A-Doodle is just a trainwreck. I didn’t even like it as a kid, I even thought it was stupid then.

Also, for those who have seen James Cameron’s Titanic (no I don’t hate it, in fact, it’s actually my favorite movie of all time), there’s actually an animated Titanic movie called “Titanic: The Legend Goes On” which is incredibly stupid and ridiculous, and the animation is lazy, not to mention the incredibly STUPID scene where the dog starts rapping (because yes there totally WAS a rapping dog aboard the Titanic in 1912)
