An actual game? Is it one of the gba lbt games?
The sprites were taken from one of those, yes.

Damn man I saw this too, I've seen that guy on commercials for as long as I can remember. This probably upset me more than the news about the other 3 famous people. Imma miss that guy.

Holy crump, you made that animation yourself?! In an hour and a half, no less? It probably took me longer than that just to draw the outline for my avatar!

Seriously; that animation is so good that I thought it must have been altered from some sort of LBT game for a handheld console, and I was wondering, "Now where can I get that game..."

Anyway, welcome to the GoF! (I'm a huge Ducky fan, too, by the way. :smile)
It is from a game. Lol, when I said I 'made' it, I was speaking in sprite animation terms. I've never drawn my own sprites, not my area of expertise. Whole different ball games when you're talkin' about drawing the sprites and animating them. And you can probably buy the game on eBay. I think it was on the Gameboy Advance.

EDIT: Lol, I thought someone here might have played the game. I've never played the game, but on the sprite sheets, there was only half of a T-Rex, so I assume on the game he only comes half-in the screen as in the animation.

Well this topic is pretty old but if any of you are still fans, hope you know they made a live-action movie of this show. Saw a preview for it yesterday. Buuuut, M. Night Shyamalan made it. Sorry. :x

Yeah I was watchin' the news when they started gettin' all this in. Although I'm too young for his time, not into his kind of music, and he seemed a little weird, it's always sad too see such an influential artist leave us. :(

You people just don't know how much they're getting paid for this.  Most of these places charge $750 per 10,000 views (it might be higher than that now).  That's a boatload of money.
I do know how much money Internet ads make, I've looked into them (Google AdSense, admob, mediaclick, etc. etc.) for my own projects. And that is a boatload of money! That's why it's such a good idea!  :smile

The only place you can think it's going is to their pockets? It can't possibly be going to charity?

They admit themselves that they only give $74 to charity.  I can guarantee you they're making thousands off each and every person.  They're nothing but a sponsor supported search engine and you have to pay out the a$$ to get listed in their directory. <_<
No no no, they did not admit that they only give $74 dollars to charity, they said if you set your homepage as they're website, you'll be generating $74 dollars a year. The just didn't give any numbers on how much you generate if you use the search engine or anything like that.

The Fridge / Would like your opinion
« on: June 25, 2009, 01:57:28 PM »
I think your calculator is off, I think euro's is almost double the dollars now, I remember a teacher sayin' somethin' like that. Anyway, yes I think it's worth it! I mean knowing myself I would buy a counterfeit remake of a poster for LBT 13 with a big rip down the center for 20 dollars, but yeah, if it's an original from the first one, I can see how it costs a little more than other posters.

The Fridge / What are your favorite foods?
« on: June 24, 2009, 04:04:58 PM »
Grapes, Pizza (I have to have pizza atleast once a week or I get grumpy), cheeseburger, pink lemonade (I don't drink soda :p), candy (candy atleast once every two days or I get grumpy (again)), gatorade, ramen and fries also..

brekclub has pretty good taste in food, don't wanna sound too repetitive.

You'd be surprised what good people do when they come into contact with a lot of money.  And if it's only $74 per YEAR, most of the earned money is going somewhere.  The only place I can think it could be going is into their pockets.

Check up on a company before you start doing things for "charity."  A LOT of money is produced from this and I'd be very surprised if the company wasn't taking most of not ALL of the profit.  After all, who's gonna prove they're not donating the money?

you will raise $74 a year

That's horrible.  If you're searching a few times per day, they'll make a heck of a lot more money than that.  I'm talking thousands of dollars. <_<
Well for one, it's not a company doing this, it's just two people. The two people run another website, called GivesMeHope.com (The same thing as 'FMyLife', but for optimists). One founder is a recent graduate from the University of Notre Dame. She also runs a site called DailyCute.net (go look at her site).
The other founder (who is recently engaged to the chick founder), started MuggleNet.com (the most visited Harry Potter fansite in the world), at the age of 12. He's wirtten two books, both like New York Time's bestsellers. He's given all the money from the second book to GMH/Givoogle.

They just don't sound like crooks to me.

Everyone on the Internet knows what Google is, and everyone's used it atleast once. www.givoogle.com has the same searchs, but in the process, gives money to charity. Says on the home page that just setting Givoogle as your start-up page, you will raise $74 a year to be donated to The American Cancer Society. You can even set the little search bar in the top right as it. I told my brother about it, and he's posting a topic on another forum about it. Soooo go to it, check it all out. Do it, tell your friends, make sure they do it!  :DD

The Fridge / Where's Waldo
« on: June 21, 2009, 11:18:59 PM »
Well I've seen a chatroom on an Invision Power Board, and it looked to me to be built into the forum, not user-made. Could've just been unique to that forum though.

I was just wonderin', I like chatrooms..never been to a LBT chatroom though..

The Fridge / Proper English & Grammar
« on: June 21, 2009, 11:14:33 PM »
Well Malte looks like he speaks better english than I do, and that's the only language I speak..
But on topic, I personally almost always do things like..somethin'..and 'cause..and I've always made a point to use the most proper grammar I can, and I do consider both my typing and writing to be proper. I do like emulating my way of speaking into my grammar though, because everyone where I'm from talks that way, so I don't see a difference typing/writing it that way.

I know this is my first day and everything, and I don't mean to be picky or anything like that, please don't hate me.  :o

But I noticed that we're missing somethin' here (or I can't find it atleast).

(Heh..do you get it.."where's waldo"..heheh)

I myself personally like a good chatroom to talk to the online members in. I mean I don't know if ya'll have an offsite one like an IRC or somethin'..this is just something I noticed..not to be intrusive on my first day, sorry if it comes off like that.  ;)

General Land Before Time / A funny theory of ruby and chomper
« on: June 21, 2009, 10:29:03 PM »
Well I've never seen the TV show (going to watch them all whenever my internet stops jacking up) so I don't know anything about this 'Ruby' person, but wasn't it LBT 7 that had them rainbow aliens? Soooooo we know it's not out of the question?

Thanks for the welcomes, quite a different change from the last forum I signed up for.
What forum was that?
Oh it was just a forum for a game I used to play, I won't say any names. No one there actually played the game, and everyone was a jerk to everyone (just to try to be funny). I didn't put up with that of course, I got banned from it for telling the moderators just how bad of a job they were doing (and the moderators liked to abuse people just because they had "power" over people on the internet).  :anger
