The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

@The Chronicler: Any ideas or estimates on when we are able to see the supernova explosion of the "Blaze Star" right here on Earth? The estimated date for when we are able to view the supernova has already passed, and I have not seen any news about the supernova being seen yet.

https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/science/t-coronae-borealis-may-explode-in-the-next-year-experts-say-after-multiple-false-alarms-know-the-upcoming-blaze-star-predictions/articleshow/119645035.cms

This article says some of the predictions were March 27th (already passed), November 10th, and June 25th, 2026. However... just like all the other articles that have date estimates of the Blaze Star's supernova reaching our eyes on Earth, it should be taken with a grain of salt. Many prior predictions about the supernova were wrong, and once again the recent prediction was wrong. I am not blaming anything or anyone, since I would imagine these types of things are super hard to predict a very precise date... let alone a general time frame.

So there lies my main concern then. If we cannot be sure about the exact timing, then I fear many people will be caught off guard and not notice the supernova explosion on time, on the night that it is actually visible in the Earth's night sky. We are able to see the supernova explosion about every 79 years or so on average... so basically, only once in a lifetime. This literally makes it a once in a lifetime opportunity, eh? Pretty co-o-o-ol stuff, I'll say.

Though actually... Mo-o-o will ask you this directly, since you are someone who is generally excited about awesome space events and usually go out to observe them. Is the hype of the "Blaze Star" deserved, and should it be something that any respectable fan of space, or perhaps even the average person, should not want to miss? How do you think it compares to other astronomical events and discoveries of space?

1988 Theatrical Release / Re: Outcut land before time scenes
« on: March 30, 2025, 09:52:28 PM »
Hey guys, this is my first post on the forum in a while, I haven’t been around for a long time, but I figured this is as good a time as any to jump back in!

The workprint discovery by Krieger may be the biggest piece of news for the deleted scenes we’ve had. It’s the biggest lead by far. The next step, is to wait and see whether Krieger ends up pushing for it to be publicly viewable, which is unknown at this point. He would need the permission of Universal/Amblin to show any footage, and judging by the blurring in the Instagram post, that hasn’t happened yet. But to me, it would be quite cruel for him to make this kind of post and not even attempt to do something with it :p
Still, this is huge news, as it confirms that there is at least one workprint featuring multiple deleted scenes still in existence. And one of them - specifically this one - who knows, we could be on the cusp of something big guys :yes

I'd want to be excited. I do, I do! :Dducky

But at the same time... I hold the same opinion that many other people do... that I will believe it when I see it. However, considering it is Stu Krieger himself revealing the news, I will remain cautiously optimistic and have faith that indeed he is not being cruel to the fans.

Though if he wanted to do an actual April Fools joke... :thinking :taunttroll
He could have posted the reveal of the lost tape on Instagram on April 1st, making everybody believe he is just fooling us because after all... April Fools!!! Am I right? Then the real April Fools Joke is the fact that he actually does have the real footage, and he will release the unreleased shorter version of the first film with those extra Sharptooth attacking scenes!

Now, wouldn't that be swell!? :SharptoothAmused

Ahhh!!! Mo-o-o is really hope we ain't being punked, tricked, and bamboozled! It is some super elaborate April Fools joke, or is it the real deal?!
:olittlefoot

It’s real. Remember, it all lines up with the AMA response Krieger gave on the forum back in November where he said he had found an early workprint in his archive with a runtime shorter than the final release:

Quote
Here's the truth: After years of being asked about the fabled "more violent" cut of the movie, I recently went back into my archives and uncovered what is perhaps the earliest cut of the movie in existence. It's so early, in fact, that some scenes aren't fully animated yet. I can now reveal....

Though there are a few extra moments the Sharptooth fight (some shots are held for slightly longer, there's a brief scream from Littlefoot's Mom that's slightly different to the theatrical release, etc), there are no violent deleted scenes! In fact, the early cut of the movie was shorter than the theatrical release.

This kind of slipped my mind actually, thanks for the refresher. Though I'm guessing at the time, in my initial excitement of having a pretty great answer despite the fact that Mr. Krieger could not reveal everything, I had forgotten the literal fact that, yes, indeed, he found a literal tape in his archives! The earliest cut in existence! So awesome! That I forgot to acknowledge it as something tangible, physical, real, that yes, it is possible that this footage can be released to the public in the foreseeable future! All I was thinking at the time was thanking him for his responses, his time, and his generosity.

But to be fair...perhaps my mind was also focusing on the "no violent deleted scenes" aspect. So awhile the news itself was exciting, the reveal that there is not the fabled "more violent" cut of the movie as Mr. Krieger would describe it as, made it perhaps a bit of a downer? Not saying that it dampened my excitement in the slightest, but that I suppose it made me inherently think less overall about the news.

And hey, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. He answered my question, answer my question he did! :RubyCurious
Always will be super grateful and happy that he came down to us on the forum to answer our questions. :smile

Mr. Stick is pleased to see you still remember good old stick pal. :)
Unfortunately, I can't tell any good news. :( Project is still on hiatus at this moment.

I'm just wondering if Mr. Stick being stuck in eternal limbo (nobody is playing!) or being doomed to die would be a worse ending for him... :GuidoAAAAAHHHHHH :thinking

you meant VII?  :rainbowThinking

Phew... Mo-o-o checked rules and Mo-o-o did not make a dumb mistake this time. :rhett_smile

Poster 1 first says the movie name
Then poster 2 describes it in one word (well... some used more words but idk it might be boring if we always used one word?). Then poster 2 says another movie name
And the cycle repeats...

Damn!  This is the level of skill I am jealous of, and I don't even do art.

Great job!

Hear, hear. This is literally one of the, if not, the best level of skill I've seen from not just one, but two people that has drawn Land Before Time fanart... I'm just quite speechless...

Lo-o-ove it, love it, lo-o-ove it! :ChomperOhhh :rhett_shocked :olittlefoot

Hadn't logged on in awhile to see your new drawings. But wow, the drawings Mo-o-o-o especially loves are the ones you've drawn with Topsy! He's so-o-o sad! So-o-o emotional! :cry
This I'd imagine would be his character development if it were properly shown throughout the movies, perhaps. :threehorn

Today in the UK is mothers day ( we British celebrate it in March) So I made this collage of the LBT gang with their mothers or Foster and Step mothers in Cera and Spike's case. I also colour corrected some of the characters skin

That's a pretty heartfelt Mother's Day tribute! Love it! :MomCompassion

Thanks, and it's actually mother's day this Sunday in the UK

Today is the day. Happy Mother's Day in the U.K. then!! :MomCompassion :smile
Our Mother's Day in the U.S. is still pretty far away however, which happens on May 11th this year.
