^ Quebec is not France, but a region in eastern Canada where French is the basic language.
So far I hardly know any French and the few times I tried to use it during holidays it was a rather embarrassing performance. For example when I tried to ask for two baguettes (du baguette) in a backery I mispronounced it so what I said was "tu baguette" (meaning "you baguette")
However, I'm going to study French within the next years, as I need it as a third foreign language for my university studies.
By the way, English is not my native tongue either, so in case you make mistakes I can assure you that you won't be the only one, and I can also assure you that people here won't "attack" you because of wrong English
