The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Uh yeah, there's been a little hack at Steam and it's worse then expected.

It is suggested by the staff that you change your Steam password (and anywhere else you have the same password) ASAP.  After all, don't want those hackers getting into your bank account, now do you?

I've already gone and changed mine so I'm good.

Just a head's up on all that and I'll see ya later! :)

I've changed mine already but thanx for the heads up all the same pokeplayer. At least Steam were up front about the whole fiasco and have admitted the hacking has caused some issues. Looks like Steam is also running an update and rekindling security protocols. Might be worth getting that done ASAP gamers!

The message does state that the attack seems largely focused on forums, so those who have just Steam but aren't part of the forum are probably safe, if I'm understanding this right.
