The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Who am I?

I was thinking of the Caribbean Sea, named for the Indian tribe called the Caribs. The Caribs, in case you want to know, were cannibals who ate thier victims.

A Frenchman arrested on false charges? Does it have anything to do with Jacob Dreyfus? That would be the first thing that comes to my mind though I don't know of any adulter being involved in that affair.

The count of Monte Christo! That sure is a book in which a Frenchman is arrested on false charges. Also I know that you know the book as you mentioned it repeatedly. Having never read it and only seen two different movies of it I do not recall the name of the guy though you are asking for.

Actually I failed to give the name you were looking for. However, here is the next one.
They named me a wizzard. I enlightened the world and dropped out of my wedding party attended to my "hobby", in which I proved more productive than anyone else.

I came across the big pond to help a new world coming into existence. Later they came from the new world to help in my old world that was all redesigned as an effect of the new world. I played an important role in redesigning my old world, but unfortunately the redesigning got out of hand there. Today schools and other places in the new world are named after me, and yet I'd be quite surprised if anyone from there could give my complete name here.

Nope. The whole talk about "new world" may be a bit confusing. We are not talking of an explorer. And yet he participated in creating a new world. He lived after Columbus and was from a different country.

Nope. The man I'm asking for was not an explorer. The school I visited in America was named after him, yet I doubt that even the teachers there knew the full name of the guy (a very long name indeed).
