The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Who am I?

Don't you put hats on poles to be bowed to while I'm around or my crossbow arrow may hit more than fruits.

I admit defeat at this one. I looked at several books and webpages, came accross the first radio message being sent to an air plane, accross French signaling enemy troop movements observed from a balloon by showing boards of different colors, I came across many first balloon rises, first channel crossings, first balloon victims, and a carrier pigeon being sent from a baloon in the 1890s (certainly not the first one by the way), but I didn't find anything about the first receiver of a message in a balloon :(

FROM? I thought received a message IN a hot air balloon. I interpreted this to mean that the receiver of the message was up in the air. However, I didn't find out about Franklin receiving a message from a balloon either, so I would have failed anyway. But during my researches I came accross a statement of him which he gave upon being asked about the use of balloons:

What use is a new-born infant?

The next one will be a riddle on the person's name rather than a description of the person's name:

I beginn well followed by the continuous form end and no man ever weight as much as the end of my name.

Does slaver mean someone how trades with slaves? I'm absolutely in the dark so far. Can you give further hints?

The book that springs to my mind would be the Count of Monte Christo. However, though I know the story from movies I do not recall a slaver in there (I confess I do not know the story as good as I should).

Yes It is the Count Of Monte Cristo. Since You seem to be stuck I'll give you the answeer. The Slaver in question was callee El Kobbir, who bought the wife and Daughter of Ali Pasha From Fernand( The Rival of Edmind Dantes). Dantes later bought Haydee from El Kobbir, and Haydee later exposed Fernand as a traitor.
