I was put on trial by the government after I leaked 7000 pages of documents to 17 newspapers, exposing their unjust war. Who am I?

Correct. One of my favorite political figures; I've even communicated with him via e-mail.

Your turn Malte.

I built a hospital at a place where modern medicine had not arrived till then. I believe in the philosophy of "Reverence for Life" which I feel has been lost in civilization. I got the worlds most famous prize for peace in recognition for my work.

I am the oldest known human being to live in what is now the Republic of China, purpoting to have lived at least 500,000 years ago.

I'm not very good at U. S. history, let alone Chinese history. Ummm... Are you by any chance referring to the Peking Man found in the cave of Zhoukoudian, or however it's spelled, that is somewhere near Beijing? That cave is in the Republic of China area, right? I heard his approximate time of having lived there was somewhere between 200,000 and 500,000 years ago, so at least I'll get the year part right. Am I on the right track here or did I completely misunderstand your question?

How about a classic novel series? Popular books seem to do quite well here. This story was written over forty years ago, but it must still be doing good since a movie and computer game were made for it not too long ago.

I'm an oracular pig - that is, I have the ability to prophesy about future events and reveal hidden information. I was wondering, do you know who I am?

An oracular pig was involved in "The black cauldron". The name of that pig was Hen Wen I think.

Yup! Why did I have the feeling that you'd get this... Well anyway, there is a popular novel series of five books made in the sixties. It's called The Chronicles Prydain. And yes, the Black Cauldron is the name of one pf the volumes- the second one actually, which became a Disney movie and computer game. The movie just didn't do the original story justice though. And as for thinking the pig's name is Hen Wen, think no more because you're right and that is exactly what her name is.  You're welcome to continue this when you wish. But I do have one question:
Quote
nostradamus?
You have gotten me quite curious now. What is that? That name does sound exotic.  Whatever book it is or is from, I'll try to look into it. It would probably be very interesting. Later!

Nostradamus was a Frenchmen, who beccame famous for his prohecies during the middle ages. Over the centuries his prophecies have been said to predict everything from the death of Charles ! of France, to the rise of Hitler, to the 9-11 attacks and even the end of the world.

Sorry, I forgot about this thread for a couple of days. Here is the next one:

My poor leg was hurt badly in a fight in which I did a huge service for my country coming into existence. But that leg is all of me being commemorated at the place where it was hurt for my head perceived a lack of gratitude and recognition that made me turn against the cause for which my leg had suffered.

Benedict Arnold? I think his leg was injured in battle.

Aye :yes
The American victory in the battle of Saratoga (which was a decisive factor in the French decision to support the American revolutionaries) was mainly Benedict Arnold's doing. Most of the credit however was given to general Horatio Gates who outranked Arnold, but had actually done hardly anything to contribute to the victory (and later delivered a short and disastrous performance on the southern theater of the war which involved his abandoning his defeated army and riding away as fast as he could after the defeat at Camden). Arnold (as mentioned) had been wounded in the leg during the battle.
Feeling that he was deceive for the credit he deserved (I think he was promoted though and some other squabbles played a role too) and also under the influence of his loyalist wife Arnold turned into the traitor as which he is known and condemned.
In 1887 a memorial was erected in Saratoga National Historical park to commemorate the brave leg of Benedict Arnold while the monument is the only one in the US dedicated to a person (or his leg) but doesn't bear any inscription that includes the name of the person. If you want to take a look, this is a link to a picture of the so called "boot monument": http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/comm...Arnold-boot.jpg

One of two Austrian brothers, I was the one favored by our father, but my younger brother was the one that grew up to become famous worldwide, while I died in 1971 in a car accident. My brother did not attend my funeral.
