The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

I use Opera.  Not that good of a browser and fairly unpopular so I don't know why Facebook would want to buy it.  Also, I don't know if this is a good or bad thing.  Probably a bad since it would decline the popularity rating of Facebook...or it could raise the reputation of Opera.  Either way, I'd like to see what happens.

I think Opera is a good browser. It used to be my main browser for a few years until I switched to Firefox (which was only because I suddenly couldn't use Opera anymore due to some program I had installed).

Here's an article that highlights features that Opera did first before other browsers, such as Firefox, copied them. It may explain why Facebook turned to Opera to buy first instead of another browser.
