"Jenna!" both of parents yelled, running up and embracing their daughter. Taro chuckled.
"Looks like I came back from the dead, then," he said, smiling as he walked up to his sister. "I thought you were supposed to be dead?" he added.

Jenna hugged her parents "I thought I would never see you's again". She turned to her brother "So everyone thinks,thats why I am here alone...searching for my son...speaking of which...where is he?" she asked not noticing Littlefoot due to him being covered in his blanket like tree-star.

"Oh, just under that treestar," said Taro. He went and pulled the treestar off, revealing Nahla. "Whoops... that's not him." He pulled pulled another treestar off another lump, revealing Littlefoot. "That's the one," Taro chuckled. However, Grandma and Grandpa looked very uneasy.

Jenna did not seem to notice Nahla she was to busy staring at her son "LITTLEFOOT!" she shoured rushing over to him only to step back in horror when she saw his state "Whats wrong with him? His body seems so locked up" she commented.

Grandma and Grandpa stayed silent, both looking as if they were about to cry. Taro sighed.
"It's not your fault," he assured them before turning to his sister. "Look, someone came into the Great Valley... I'm not entirely sure who he is but he's dangerous and he... he attacked Littlefoot." Grandma just started sobbing in the distance.

Jenna's face darkened "WHO DID THIS?!!" she screamed her question "I'LL KILL THEM!". She took a deep breath lowered her head to Littlefoot "Littlefoot? Please answer me" she whispered nudging him hard sobbing. Givng up with a sigh "He is dead isn't he?" she asked not realizing he was just paralyzed and could not feel her nudges to wake up,tears poured down her eyes pleading to be told her son was alright.

Littlefoot could not hear his mother,he was still deeply asleep due to being woken very late last night. He also could not feel his mother desperate tries to wake him,this paralyzed thing has hit him hard. At least he was gonna recover physically. However he might never get over it emotionally.

Nahla began to stir,opening her eyes and yawning. She blinked trying to figure out where she was this time.

Grandma and Grandpa backed off slightly, not expecting that sort of behaviour from their daughter. Taro was also a little shocked by this, but he stepped forward.
"Sis, he's not dead," he assured her. "He's been paralysed. .. he can't feel you touching him... we were up late last night, so we'll just have to wait until he wakes up."
"There was a newcomer in the valley," Grandpa explained. "Yesterday he threatened to kill him so we came here to escape, and we won't be going back for a few days."

"How was he paralyzed exactly ?" Jenna asked more softly laying down next him "And sorry I shouted it just Littlefoot means so much to me..I can't bare the thought someone purposely hurt him" she wrapped her tail around her son to keep him warm.

"That kid, he..." Taro sighed, hesitating slightly. "He tried crushing Littlefoot's back."
"If it weren't for Taro, he probably would be dead," Grandpa sadly admitted. Grandma just buried her head into her mate's side, feeling like a complete failure.

Jenna rubbed her head along Littlefoot's back stopping in the middle "I can feel where the damage is" she nodded towards the spot "If you feel here,he does indeed have damage to his spine.." she sighed sadly,she wanted to find her son but...not like this.

"I'm sure it wasn't your fault" Jenna replied sobbing "In fact from what I heard so far you saved his life,besides Littlefoot is tough..he is a fighter. He'll pull through.." she said trying to comfort everyone when she really she was not sure herself "He...just has to...".

"Well, he did manage to make it to the Great Valley with just a few other little ones with him, in a world full of dangers," Grandpa admitted. "I'm sure he'll make it."
"Yeah, he will," Taro agreed. "He's got you as his mother, after all."

Jenna smiled licking Littlefoot gently putting his 'blanket' back on "Poor thing is exhausted" she said looking around seeing Nahla. Her face showed disgust at her condition "Who...is that?" she asked staring at the pink child she looked at Taro "Yours?".

Taro shook his head. "No. I found her at the entrance to the Great Valley a few days ago and brought her in. From what I heard, she's from the Shadowlands, and was abused her whole life by her family before eventually she was thrown off a cliff. She just about survived and made it to the Great Valley."
"Since then she's been tagging along with us," Grandma finished for him.

Taro just watched them with sympathy. He wanted to help but he knew Nahla probably wouldn't like that.
