The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Movies that scared you as a child?

I don't know about you, but The Land Before Time ITSELF, despite being my favorite movie, scared the HECK out of me when I was little (particularly Sharptooth). I can't tell you how many nightmares I've had in my lifetime about Sharptooth (sometimes I still do  :cry ). I also couldn't watch certain scenes (from later LBT movies for a long time involving Sharpteeth. Sharptooth was actually the very thing that started my fear of carnivorous beasts. I was also scared of the bear in the Fox and the Hound (still am today as well), the T-Rex in Fantasia, and Monstro the whale from Pinocchio. Most children who find Pinocchio scary are scared of when Lampwick turns into a donkey, but  I wasn't upset because I didn't care because at least he wasn't being eaten (However, watching it as an adult, I did find the scene a little bit disturbing.) But the number one thing that scared me was the vicious, humungous, carnivorous whale  :wow

The scene in Jumanji where the big plant appears in the cupboard scared the hell out of me. Especially when it's dragging one of the kids into it.

I also remember being creeped out by The Little Mermaid, but I can't recall why  :p I think it might have been those two eels.

Unico in the Island of Magic...Kuruku creeped me out...I do not like puppets because of it. And the Garthok-thing from the Coneheads freaked me out, too...still can't even LOOK at the thing. Also, the wolf from Fantasia scared the HECK outta me when I was younger. It was a while before I could really watch those movies without feeling creeped out.

I remember, that Beyond Belief: Fact or fiction was sometimes scary for me, especially episodes about vampire in hospital, or red eyed creature. Jurrasic Park too. Harry Potter II at the end was somehow scary for me too. There sure were more, but right now I can not remember.

The film Tremors, with massive man eating worms that sense prey by vibration (liking walking on the ground), and using tentacles to to pull people people underground to eat them.

I am pretty sure, that there were countless cartoons and movies, that scared me,but I remember only these:

-Harry Potter opening
-See-saw from teletubies
-Fantasia 2000
-Scooby doo episodes with puppets
-Cartoons and shows with puppets
-Cartoons with living toys in it (excluding toy story)

Also I was scared by countless themes from games, movies and cartoons (I am more scared by music and dolls/puppets  than by other things)

yeah, I don't advise you to play horror games with puppets, dolls, and ESPECIALLY with mannequins...

    • Ian's Corner - My personal review blog
I saw the first X-Men film when I was about 9 or 10, and I didn't even get all the way through it. Even though I think it's a great movie nowadays... but as a kid it was pretty intense!
:duckyscared

So I ended up going to see Pokemon: The Movie 2000 instead, which was playing at the same time. :DD

Alien, directed by Ridley Scott.

I spent a month worried a facehugger would jump on my face.
