Another board appeared.'Perhaps this game will be easiier to learn. This game is called checkers. It's somewhat like chess, but there aren't as many different pieces and rules to learn." He gestured again and the board was covered with black and red pieces."I'll take red. Black always goes first. The object is to reach the opponent's side of the field. If you get your piece safely there, you flip the piece over and I put another piece on top on it. this is called"kingmaking'. When you reach my side of the field. Say "king me' and I'll put another piece on top."

Sam watched by the entrance of the falls looking at his watch seeing that time has flew since they been in there. "1pm already... jeezs where the time gone" Sam laughed "Well hope you win Ducky" Sam put a thumb up.

"In Additiion" Stripetail continued." The kinged pieces can move differently than regular pieces. Regular pieces cannot go backwards, while kinged pieces can. You can jump more than one piece at a time, I've jumped five pieces in one move.There are 12 pieces per side, to win you must remove all of the opponents pieces. You go first." Ducky moved a black piece forward. Stripetail counters by moving a red piece forward.

Stripetail moved the piece again. Ducky countered by moving her piece away from Stripetail's piece. Stripetail moved another piece to confront Ducky's piece.

Ducky jumped Stripetail's piece, scoring the first point of the game. Stripetail jumped her piece on the next play. Ducky moved one of her pieces to confront Stripetail's first piece. Stripetail jumped the piece and moved his piece into the corner. Ducky moved another of her front pieces .

Stripetail moved another piece towards Ducky's side."She'll move the far piece sooner or later and then I'll be free to king my piece." he thought. Ducky responded by moving the front piece again. Stripetail moved the last of his front pieces.

Stripetail moved another of his pieces toward Ducky's side Ducky moved a piece to confront him. Stripetail jumped her piece and moved in front of her far piece. Ducky jumped his piece and cleared it from the board. Stripetail Moved his piece from the corner"king me" he said with a smile.

Ducky moved another piece forward to block Stripetail's king. he then moved one of his back pieces up.She then moved her far piece to the side." Stripetail smiled " That move will cost you." He then double-jumped Ducky, taking two pieces off the board. Ducky was stunned.

"Oh, no , me in trouble yep yep yep." Ducky looked at the board. Stripetail had taken 5 of her pieces, she had only taken two of his. She would try to aviod his king. She moved one of her far pieces .Stripetail moved another of his pieces toward her side of the board.

Stripetail Watched Ducky move her pieces 'She 's rattled, I can tell. She'll try to avoid my king, but while she's moving all her pieces away from my king, my other pieces will become kings as well." He thought to himself. He then moved one of his pieces in the path of Ducky's piece. She responded by moving the piece that was closest to Stripetail's side. Stripetail responded by jumping her piece. She then moved another of her far pieces. stripetail moved his piece closer to her side. Ducky moved the piece again. So did Stripetail.

Ducky now looked at the board. "me really in trouble now. He has a king and a few other pieces that are close to being kings. " She thought to herself. Then moved her piece closer towards Stripetail's piece. Now it was Stripetail's turn."King me. Ducky, if you don't have any pieces to king me with, you simply flip over the piece. On one side is the picture of a crown. " Ducky moved again. Stripetail jumped her piece and looked at the board. Ducky was down to 5 pieces, two of which she hadn't moved. He had two kings, and Ducky's right side was exposed. "I definitely have the advantage". He thought."She'll get better with time, but right now my experience is too much for her."
